Seen this as a reply on our Rumours page :-

'It's called BUSINESS guys. If a cva isn't accepted (be it with £8.5 million or whatever) then the creditors face getting zilch through a newco. Eitherway the new owners are perfectly within their rights to spend what they like to improve their new venture......remember new owners of ailing companies all over the world do the same thing. When wee Fergus got Celtic he put in £9.2 million along with some others like the Weissfelds etc but Celtic's financial position was much worse than the money they put in at the start........'

Do some rapeepul fans not know what liquidation means ?

Liquidation (The short definition) - This is a process where a company's business is terminated. The proceeds from the sale of its assests (eg. Ibrox, Murray Park) are used to pay its creditors and anything left over is distrubuted to its shareholders.

HMRC can't possibly accept a CVA , if they do they are basically telling every business and every football club , occhh you don't need to bother paying all your tax we'll let you off wae paying 5p in the £ , so I'm sure you won't be getting away with that one , Rangers are not any different to any other tax payer , if you owe the projected £70m in tax , and offer £2m I think they'll rather liquidate yous and get more money from the sale of your assets .

He wouldn't reveal where his investment came from, he had a past history of dissolving companies, a history of short involvement with companies, promised millions for investment, that Craig Whyte turned out to be a real liar ................. sorry what did you say ........... oh, thats Charles Green you're talking about.

rangers investors say that they will give millions for signings if ban is lifted,how unfair will that be,dont pay any bills or taxes,dont need to sell anything,but can take in 24 million in season ticket money and still not pay debt ,this should be stopped NOW.

P.S. - If all of the funding is together, why are they still trying to get Freddie Shepherd to invest. {Ed007's Note - I take it then that if they have hundreds of millions then there will be no need for any CVA and they will just pay all the debts off fair and square. That is great news for Rangers fans. Although it could mean if they don't have hundreds of millions they know they won't be successful.}

I would be very surprised if HMRC are not reading this.How on earth will any creditors accept a CVA with speeches like this coming out? Same story with the other investors,pay pennies to the debt,then throw millions at "newco"? I very much doubt it.There seems to be a strong feeling that HMRC will get nothing if liquidation occurs.Hardly............green jhedi

I seriously cant believe any of this propaganda being spouted by Mr Green, we have millions in the war chest. Well if you have got this money why not use it to pay the debts of the club you are buying, in the process doing the country that all the RFC (I A) fans a so loyal to.

McCourt would shine in mls if true, i know people love him and he has got some great playing but he needs to go and has been lucky to stay so long, i just dont think he can play a full 90min or even 60min and Lennon has used him well when bringing him on in last 15min
