Looks like wee Henderson is going places. Few Serie A teams in for him.
Good to see him do well.

Believable9 Unbelievable6

16 Jun 2018 10:13:42
£2m bid in from Fiorentina Kev. Not sure why so many people are disagreeing with facts. Wish there was a way of seeing the faceless who do it yet won't comment. Always rated Henderson but knew he had to go elsewhere to get game time, although i'd have rather we signed him up long term and loaned him. Good luck to the lad great to see his career is on track since the move. Hope we see him back at CP some day.

Agree1 Disagree2

16 Jun 2018 10:26:01
Liams brother ewan is a far better player mate.

Agree3 Disagree0

16 Jun 2018 10:46:11
People just hit disagree for the sake of it most the time Stan.
I also rated Henderson and for o good while thought he'd eventually break through at parkhead.
Marco 1888 only time will tell with that one.

Agree2 Disagree3

16 Jun 2018 10:57:06
He already looks a better player mate I know they play different positions but still looks a much more accomplished player.

Agree0 Disagree1

16 Jun 2018 11:17:12
Looking forward to seeing Ewan more Marco, watched the CL youth games last season and was impressed. Though going forward the team were excellent but not so good at the back. In saying that a bit of luck and we could have won every game we certainly didn't deserve to lose any of that games.

Agree0 Disagree2

16 Jun 2018 11:59:06
You may be right but how many times do we hear he looks a player when they play at that level.
Liam has played at a higher level quite a while now and untill his brother has done the same with the same level of success then I will reserve judgement.

Agree0 Disagree3

16 Jun 2018 16:05:29
Italy suits Henderson perfectly. It's a slower and more tactical game.

I don't feel he suited being a midfielder in a Rodgers side as Rodgers likes higher intensity in midfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jun 2018 23:06:11
No way would we spend £9mill on any transfer fee, prob £5mill then possible rising through appearances etc still think dembele&Armstrong will be sold to pay for edouard &mginn&cpl of other signing targets to come in.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

15 Jun 2018 23:11:52
Van dyjks money along with the world cup money and Eriks transfer fee already cover edouards fee.

Agree1 Disagree5

15 Jun 2018 23:36:17
The club have said its the biggest deal in our history so its a fee of £6m+ at least.

Agree1 Disagree1

16 Jun 2018 06:22:07
The club were prepared to spend more on PR last summer so you are wrong. Nothing like a bit of misery to start saturday morn. Defeatist attitude.

Agree3 Disagree4

16 Jun 2018 09:37:14
Just enjoy the great news and appreciate a quality permanent deal. People have been posting on here in previous seasons about us not spending 'real money' and referring to PL's £6m quote; so now we are showing real ambition and following it up with serious cash - on and off the pitch - and the club has never been in better shape.
There may well be one or two leaving, but this shows the commitment of the board and manager to improve and progress even further.

Agree3 Disagree1

16 Jun 2018 10:35:29
That's some first post "kingjambo". I have to praise PL. Finally we have seen that elusive 'big fee for the right player. A lot of the praise actually goes towards his negotiations with Southampton too. Without that unguaranteed 6m, this deal might not have happened. Thank you Pistol.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jun 2018 11:26:50
kingjambo kinda give away no, he's not one of us🇮🇪🤣.

15 Jun 2018 22:15:45
Not Celtic related but I was wee question for all you mad gamblers out there.
I don't normally gamble and only ever put a wee bet on some football but tonight I put a wee bet on Portugal win and BTTS, through the 365 online app.
The game finished 3-3 but I got a payout like I had won.

Just wondering if anyone has had this happen before or if it is a total mistake on their part.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

15 Jun 2018 23:01:05
I do that bet regulary Jon, looks like a mistake if you chose Portugal. Take the money and run!

Agree1 Disagree0

16 Jun 2018 10:05:36
Seems like a total mistake mate well done. unless you cashed out at some point when Portugal were winning.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jun 2018 15:13:49
If u don't often gamble is it possible u chose a draw both teams to score by mistake? It's unlikely that the betting company made a mistake as it's computerised. Still possible but unlikely. Either way well done.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - And of course Jonbhoy's aware that I get 10% of all winning bets declared on here......... :)

15 Jun 2018 20:11:30
Watching Spain Portugal game Iniesta is going to waste away in the J league he should've came to Celtic.

15 Jun 2018 17:42:40
Is Edouard going to be the next number 7 or keep his lucky 22?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

15 Jun 2018 18:07:15
Number 7 Rich T.

Agree2 Disagree0

15 Jun 2018 21:04:49
He's kept the 22 must be a lucky number for him.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - It's his favourite calibre of air rifle.}

15 Jun 2018 21:54:47
Oh aye ED funny. Good signing today ED I think most of us will agree but will this now set the tone for the quality we will hope to bring in or the money we've spent to a hindrance to the rest of our spending this window do u think ED?

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I don't think there's any question of us looking for quality and fees are irrelevant really, £900k for Wanyama and what £3 million for Pukki? Dembele £500k?}

16 Jun 2018 12:19:38
Am hoping for Ch and if lucky RB but being greedy a right winger too.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jun 2018 16:41:49
Massive well done to all involved in signing Odsonne, great show of intent by the board. Cannot wait until next season!

Believable7 Unbelievable2

15 Jun 2018 18:09:56
Delighted he has signed, note of caution though as we have not actually strengthened the squad from last year.

European class playmaker would be icing on the cake along with a first team RB and CB

3 quality players is all I ask.

Agree5 Disagree1

15 Jun 2018 19:43:57
A lightning fast winger would be good.

Agree0 Disagree1

15 Jun 2018 16:38:18
Ed, any idea who the 3 or 4 other players BR says we're in discussions with are? Are they worth getting more excited about? HH.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - I've no idea.}

15 Jun 2018 15:57:07
I have actually came across several Celtic fans moaning we have spent to much money of French eddy.
Board can't win.

Believable4 Unbelievable7

15 Jun 2018 17:38:19
Rain clouds follow these people everywhere Kev. You come across them in all aspects of life spreading their negativity like wildfire. As a Celtic fan how can you not be happy we are improving everything on and off the park season on season at the moment. I was on the Boards case myself when it seemed PL and Park were interfering but that days are long gone. I can only commend and thank them for their current work.

Agree1 Disagree1

15 Jun 2018 17:55:44
They are simply gutted to have been proven wrong. They always say "we can't spend this or that amount" and we have just proven that we can.

Always citing rangers to scare people, as if we would go bust if we spent any money. Ridiculous.

here we go.

Agree2 Disagree1

15 Jun 2018 19:21:40
I hear Dermot Desmond and Brendan Rogers had to organise to get Lawwell out of the office on a couple of afternoons so that DD and B R could get the paper work completed . Thank God they managed to do it as if P Lawwell was in control of cheque book week week, there would be no deal.

Agree1 Disagree8

15 Jun 2018 19:40:10
That's just nonsense OMC. Why are you so down on our club these days?
Jesus, some people are never happy.

Agree3 Disagree0

15 Jun 2018 21:21:26
Who told you that OMC?
Was it James Traynor!

Agree2 Disagree0

15 Jun 2018 22:41:13
He is extracting the urine, I hope.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jun 2018 00:02:43
Sorry Big Rab, I was trying to post a comment that Jamesbhoy67 would agree with.

Agree0 Disagree2

16 Jun 2018 11:02:48
Peter lawwel is one of the best negotiators out there. That's why clubs are always chasing him. He knows how to do his job.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jun 2018 14:25:26
He definitely is, however the Scottish media tried to create dissention between him and Celtic fans . It wo reed for awhile but thank God in recent years, all but one or two of our fans realise, just how important and how good a deal bargainer he is .

I think there was a time when we had weak manager and P . L wisely or non wisely may have stepped outside his duties and bought players that hadn't been properly scouted. This was wrong, but it came about by Manager not doing his job and provide proper list of prospects.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jun 2018 11:13:33
I think the 10mill euro tag is not correct. I believe its less than that. The 10mill may be the total including sell on percentage. He did not cost 10mill up front.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jun 2018 11:17:44
Celtic haven't spent a penny Liverpool paid for Edouarde off the Van Dijk fee, so that leaves about 60m unspent, if anyone thinks lawwell will sanction several big signings they need their head examined, was that post good enough for you Chris? Its just as well the other lads get my humour.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jun 2018 00:41:03
Jamesbhoy67 I pity you and more so your small group of friends who have to laugh with you at your jokes but if they were not such loyal friends would laugh at you re your humour .
The funniest thing about yourself Jamesbhoy67, is that every normal Celtic supporter who has a I Q above your 67, knows that P L will not sanction the 60m that you think is in the funds . It isn't P L 's responsibility to sanction a number of reasonably expensive purchases . It's the board who if they give the go ahead leave Peter Lawwell with task to try to get best possible deal .
I am sure this is too complicated for you Jamesbhoy67, but over time you may learn.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jun 2018 15:09:36
Great statement of intent by the Celtic board today, they are giving BR the tools to do his job. I have no doubt this will be the first of 3 or 4 big signings. What a performance from our PR machine again, the I Wanna Be Edouard tweet is class 🍋

Good times ahead at CP. Honey G must be quaking in her Sambas.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

15 Jun 2018 16:04:44
Great signing, he’s going to be a top player and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was one of the first names on the team sheet this season! You can see how much he loves it here too.

Heard a couple people saying this signals Dembele leaving, I think if anything it might be incentive for him to stay.

Breaking our transfer record on a 20 year old as well, just shows how much faith we have in him. Buzzing for this season already.

Agree3 Disagree1

15 Jun 2018 17:17:30
Agree with all of that Andy. I think Dembele and Ntcham will be buzzing like us all with the news. What a fantastic young team we are building. HH.

Big test for both teams. let's see how they do in Europe qualifiers. I just can't see Rangers going anywhere. don't see any player so far that would get in our squad.

And cue the gnashing of teeth at the obvious fact that us and Aberdeen are the top two teams. Well played though Celtic.

Agree2 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - I also noticed that the SPFL are now referring to our games against TRIFC as the Glasgow Derby and it seems to have upset some of the Klan on social media.}

15 Jun 2018 14:28:10
Well to be fair to the SPFL they are spot on. Only sevco and smsm call it the old firm now and sly of course as they need the subscription money to roll in.

Agree1 Disagree4

15 Jun 2018 15:39:09
@ED. Your the third person that, s noticed that. Something in the wind perhaps?

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I seen someone mentioning that Celtic are the sole registered owners of the trademark now that Rangers are being liquidated, perhaps Pedro's reminded the SPFL of that.}

15 Jun 2018 17:03:33
Hope that's true Ed. They can then hit any organisation for compo if they use the term, including the zombies.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I don't know if it's true, Rab but it's feasible.}

15 Jun 2018 17:23:17
ED. You bassa. Just going to post the same! I remember a dude, main stander, who told my mate that he knew for a fact that Celtic were going to go all in with BR. Possibly connected? Anyway, why are sevconians up in arms? We don't mind, we don't want it!

trying to be relevant obviously.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - The Old Firm tag - which Celtic stopped using years ago - lets them hang onto our coattails and as you, appear relevant.}

New image uploaded to the
Celtic Player Sightings page entitled, Quality Hummel Gear with holes in the sleeve

Believable3 Unbelievable1

15 Jun 2018 13:52:08
jabba said it's NOT a hole in the sleeve but a new space age strategic air to pore system for better ventilation and is concomitant with the staunchnicity of a sevco top.
