I don't expect this to be posted, but you are paranoid, it's just another example of a poor ref's descision, just like 99% of the games played over the weekend {Ed007's Note - Why would it not get posted? Who's paranoid now??}

On the whole hopper worth £35m statement, i say fair play to lennon. obviously he will probobly leave for about £10m but i think it is important we make clubs down south aware that they arent going to get our top players on the cheap, I think it is absoloutly imperitive that which ever one of these talented young lads leave celtic first that we command a crazy fee so that we make a bold statement that we are not a selling club. if we sell that first player for an average price then i think we can expect a flurry of small bids for our top players.
By the way IMO southamptons bid of £4m for hooper is disrespecful towards Celtic and SPL.
we have to make a stand now or we will end up regretting it.

Aye well said. Too many people taking it literally thinking it ridicules the club and Scottish football but in saying so are actually making a pigs backside of themselves.

He's simply making a point that the club won't be ripped off by teams down south. Newcastle didn't budge and give Liverpool Andy Carroll on the cheap (who was a key player but by all accounts has been a poor signing so far) so Celtic won't be giving in to the vultures down south and will be holding out for only top fees for our key players. SPL or not, 4M is an insult considering they'd pay double that for a lesser player down south.

I can't believe some of the reaction to this £35m statement...why should Neil Lennon not put these kind of prices on his players ? Its not like we have to sell anyone & there's no reason why he shouldn't be sending out that message. A wee bargain at £35m - Mrs E

Gary Hooper going for 10 mil is also laughable tho. I think another good season from him and we'll get about 6 mil for him. I really like Hooper but he is in no way top class.

A player is worth what another team will pay for him and remember that Hooper was more prolific in the Championship than Andy Carroll who was sold after half a season in the EPL for £35 million. Hooper is worth more than £6 million right now, if he stays another season and carries on scoring his value can only go up.}

I would like the Celtic management to see sense over Samar-ass, this impersonator only fancies playing when it's going his way, when it's not then the ten bob bit heid is in his hands, or the hands are on the hips or he's praying or he is faffing about with his hair for the millionth time! He isn't good enough! {Ed007's Note - Not his biggest fan then eh?}

In my eyes samaras is playing like he wants a move. On his day he's great but his goals are shocking 10 in 4 years or something ? Not his biggest fan either but does bring something to the team but as a striker he's failed to many times. If another offer comes in during the summer of 2m + I would bite the hand off

Gotta agree with Mrs E, Sammy has been superb in the last few months, when played at left mid! The problem he has is he wears the number 9, so we all think he's a striker!

Agree totally Miko, Winter should be reported for his sectarian views. FF81 Miko was bringing this up on a banter page as that is what Winter considers banter!

Winters blog is so anti-catholic, anti-Celtic and inappropriate to most human beings! This man is a disgrace and for you to even try to defend or condone anything he has said is horrific! I'm only glad his website has been shut down and that Celtic have made a formal complaint to Strathclyde Police!

For years this man has vented his bile about Jock Stein (who helped save rangers supporters in the ibrox disaster), neil lennon and aiden mcgeady! He is an embarrassment to the club you love!

Is it just me that thinks ki is average? Nice passer I admit but when the midfield is a bit crowded and the tackles are flying what use is that? Seems to get a wee run of games starting of well then turns chronic by which time he seems to have cemented his place in the team, he isn't all that, now and again we get a decent goal but is it enough for a Celtic midfielder? Take the supposed 6 million and run and keep running!

Couldn't agree more mate, nice tidy player but doubt whether he's mentally strong enough, never seen him grab game by scruff of neck like kayal or brown (although I'm not a fan) think even wanyama has shown him up, I'd take anything over 4 mil, funnily enough I think he might b more suited to premiership

Make that 3 that agree. Kayal brown even wanayama are all in about it tackle wise the lot ki is good as the passes & the odd free kick. Good signing does the job but defo take 4m& don't look back lol

This proves what most supporters have thought and said for ages. The odd (rare)spectacular goal does not make up for his list of short-comings and we should do a BOGOF offer with Samaras ASAP.

I wasn't nakas biggest fan either but he did create, don't think ki even does that to b honest, unfortunately we do play in Scottish football and I dont think players like ki fit. As I said earlier he might suit premiership better, leebhoy
