All of a sudden the Shame's 9 in a row doesn't seem like such a great achievement after all. Let's be honest about it....they used illegal tactics to do it.

HAIL HAIL
ChrisBhoy

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Explain...

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mate but they won their nine before ebts, where it does matter is they won 5 during the ebt cheating era which has stopped us getting 11/12 in a row

Agree0 Disagree0

Just like you melters winning the league this season, handed it to you!

Agree0 Disagree0

They were overspending way before the use of EBTs.... You haven't had to pay anything to do with EBTs yet so why are rangers effectively insolvent ? Who are the melters, what league do they play in ?

Agree0 Disagree0

See all these dum bears that have handed us the league this year how has it been handed to us we turned around a 15 or is it 9 point( we will go with 9 because we know your club are good at fudging figures) lead to a 4 point lead. We are still in both cups in Scotland was that also handed to us? Get over yourself the team you support has been run buy a del boy and managed by his brother Rodney this is why we have turned it around nothing to do with the 10 point deducted for your teams financial failings.

Ian(For every £1 Celtic spend Rangers will pay their creditors 10p.)

Agree1 Disagree0

Who handed it to us Nobby ? your club , through cheating and tax dodging .

hi there ed just looking for your opinion mate, do you think alex salmond would be so keen to drop the tax case to pennies on the pound if scotland was totally independent?sorry about the politics. {Ed007's Note - He shouldn't be contemplating it no matter what with the state of his country. He has more important things to think about IMO.}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

I never seen the Alex Salmond interview...I'm not a fan of his but surely he never said the tax case should be dropped ? What kind of message does this send out when the public purse is already in crisis ? Mrs E {Ed007's Note - Could it affect your pension or cold weather payments Mrs? All the troops on here would make sure you were warm and fed.}

Agree4 Disagree0

I can understand a pollitician wanting to say something about the possible loss of quite a few peoples jobs in this situation, and how it would be sad to see a club like rangers go out of business possibly. I think referring to the potential tax liability as inherintly wrong, and agree with Ed that he should have more important things on his mind.

Evinguu

Agree2 Disagree0

Well that's the whole point Ed...if we all started not paying tax then my pension would be affected. What am I supposed to buy my round with at the Pensioners Christmas party or the NHS which i now use quite a lot with one thing or another (things are not as they used to be). All so rangers could buy players they couldn't afford...seems to a tad unfair to me. Mrs E {Ed007's Note - I promise you Mrs, myself and the rest of us are here to look after you in your twilight years. My bedbaths are already legendary with Ed002 on FB.}

A don't want the gers to fold we couldn't survive without them and a want Lennon to try and win the league without rangers losing points remember when it was bad at the start of the season a want to c if Lennon is a good boss cause he is getting it easy now want to c if he can handle it when the gers r full strength

Believable1 Unbelievable8

Coisty you at it again tonight
yesterday you lost the fridge and microwave out your office.
what has brought on the bad mood tonight is it the news that the Hall of Fame dinner was called off by the admin team today?

Lubo25

Agree4 Disagree0

Lennon showed by gaining a 19 point turnaround he's a good boss, Lennon had us in pole position, playing like champions elect and favourites for the title before any points deduction. Lennon is in a great position to win only the fourth treble in our 124year history and got us in this position before they went into admin. Add that to how good most of his transfer dealings have been and I think you'll find evidence he's a good manager.

This, for me, is the only downside to his whole thing....the Celtic team still deserve enormous credit for the way they turned this around

Rant over lol sorry

So I get posts about not putting Rangers fans posts up and only showing 'pro-Ed007' posts but when I put yours up that is wrong too. Doesn't work both ways does it? There is a method of complaining you complain, all of us Eds laugh at it then delete it. It's a process that works well and gives us all something to cheer us up when we deal with people like you. Your complaint was noted, laughed at, e-mailed to all our friends and family and that is it, process completed, I might even put it on the sites FB page just for a laugh. Your post met the site guidelines and wasn't the usual small minded bigoted and perverse stuff I usually get from Rangers fans, there was no reason not post it, but just to make sure, don't post again anyway, that will cut out any confusion. if Mr Whyte aint paying taxes he most defo aint paying insurance so Naismith might just be heading out of there with bartley celik aluko very soon

Evening ed. How u mate? I was watching BBC Scotland news and I couldn't believe mr salmond and his crew looking to help save rangers. The sport minister worried about jobs... What about the jobs at Dundee United, hearts and Dunfermline the people ibrokes own money to.

They give out about the green brigade bringing politics into football what about themselves. I watched Paul McBride on YouTube the man seems to know what he is talking about.

Cheering for a penny in the pound deal, if they do come out of admin i hope no-one will deal with them in any way.
They dont deserve it, how many small businesses will be put under by writing off their debts and taking a haircut in the name of an "institution".
If they want to show the world they are true and proper fans and they are happy shafting HMRC then why dont they start a fund for the unsecured "wee guy". Ensure that the business men and women that depend on contract payments are paid, make sure your professional rivals are paid and those needed to provide security etc on a saturday are paid.

I'm offended by every Rangers fan shouting and signing off WATP, mostly because don't understand what they are saying.

We are the People.

As in God's people. Used by Rangers fans (for example) to demonstrate their superiority over their rivals. Often chanted.
Psalms 95:7 For he is our God; and we are the people (WATP) of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice.

But ye can work away and post it because you can, simples.

Agree0 Disagree0

Old annonomous keyboard warrior, you need to grow up and stop looking to cause trouble. I'm an LFC fan and show no legience to Celtic and can see that as a joke, if anything taking the p out of Celtic. If you don't like the site how about you don't visit again. Trying to cause a drama this is why I hate annonomous posters. Sorry for the rant ed lol. Keep up the good work.
JFT96
Smithy {Ed007's Note - Cheers Smithy, some people are just naturally pathetic, it has been posted numerous times and I did check if it was ok. If you hate anonymous posters you are always welcome here, there is an abundance on here compared to LFC, Utd or Arsenal etc, it is hard to distinguish who they support at times so mostly they get deleted. Leaving a tag helps conversations and interaction move along.}

Agree1 Disagree0

The Psalms 95:7 post was me, dont hate me for being anonymous hate me for being forgetful, humble apologies
Nevis

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly Ed why not leave a name. No one will no who you are anyway and like you seay it gets conversations flowing and is good for the site. The annonomous posters on the LFC site stop me posting on there as much with the negativity and the slagging off of players and Kenny. I do enjoy it on here as its much more of a laugh and most people on here take part in the banter and have a laugh. Also Ed surely yhat clause to cut the TV deal must be bull? How can it work if all TV money should be split between all clubs? I think you would survive but I worry for the smaller clubs.
JFT96
Smithy {Ed007's Note - As I said Smithy, could Sly tell the EPL they want a Man Utd vs LFC title decider the last day of every season? That is illegal and basically match/league rigging. The SPL is set up like La Liga, the big 2 get the most money from TV, CFC's annual income from TV is 3% of it's total income, hardly bank busting is it? Even if Sly walked away they would need to pay up due money on the contract and then there is the possibility of clubs suing Rangers for loss of income, Rangers knew what what going to happen when they agreed to the TV deal, so they have basically lied to Sly that Rangers (as an SPL member) could meet the criteria they were signing up for.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't be silly Nevis mate, lol. I hate the annonomous key board warriors, who cause trouble, moan and winge. If you put a good, honest post and don't want to put your name fine, I just don't understand why more people don't.

ps saw what you did earlier. no offence intended there obviously. you've gotta be careful up here ! {Ed007's Note - No worries about that KB mate. CFC's income is season tickets/investors/advertising. We have the 10th highest matchday revenue in Europe, Rangers are 14th, Man City are 18th. I'll e-mail you the report I have on it, it is heavy going but I'm sure your 'supplier' will be able to explain the mathematics of it lol.}

I've just stumbled across the 'masterplan'....Whyte used the ticketus money to pay off the debt, then every single bit of income as well as the leftover ticketus money was used to pay back ticketus and the PAYE/NI money got used for running costs. Everythings absolutely fine at Ibrox!

I hold my hands up, I take everything back that I have been saying, Craig Whyte is quite obviously a genius to come up with a plan like that.

Hey ed, just want to know your opinion on how all of this could potentially affect us in the long run. IMO we will struggle to flourish in scotland without them and I think it will have a negative affect on us especially if they do go under. MAKE IT F-CKING HAPPEN!!

Get every away fan at Easter Road on Sunday to laugh for one minute on the 54th minute (number of titles...will be their last) or 72nd minute (year they were sh-t out in the 19th century).

The Hibees are more than likely to join in as their dislike for Rangers is second only to ours.

If other SPL clubs get a sniff of this they too might be tempted, especially Aberdeen and Dundee United.

Furthermore, the Hibs match is televised...extra lulz.

How suspect is Craig Thomas Whyte doing some digging around on a companies house website (duedil) and have came across 4 Craig Thomas Whyte all with different d.o.b but all associated to companies he has been involved with.
Upto 1997 he was born in 69 and a director of companies like Vital Security all 15 companies are now dissolved.
Then the second one born in 71 associated with Rangers etc all from around 2009 10 active and 8 inactive companies.

The final 2 seem a bit strange both are with Merchant Turnaround Ltd and his d.o.b is feb 2012. Is this going to be the company to take over Rangers when it is liquidated.

So looking at the first 2 Craig Thomas Whyte is this how he hid his ban from rangers and company house.

As i said very suspect.

Here is the link for anyone to have a look if it works. If not google duedil and register.

Hi Ed,
First post. Ex Scot living in Israel and have been a Celtic fan for almost 50 years
Cant see how the Rangers saga can be good for us or for Scottish football. Having at least two strong teams in the SPL is vital for competition, media interest etc = money. A week Rangers will disencourage Celtic to invest to improve the team and so make it difficult to compete in Europe and less attractive for potential players to come to Scotland {Ed007's Note - Welcome to the site buddy.}

Well the board haven't exactly kept up with rangers spending in the past so don't see what difference it'll make with investment in the team etc. {Ed007's Note - In the last five seasons CFC have spent £35,397,000 on transfers, Rangers have spent £33,310,000. So there is not much difference there.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed as you know the differance is that Celtic have recouped all of that in transfers while Rangers have only recouped about £20 million. The club would continue to be run on sensible grounds

David {Ed007's Note - I agree David, but it doesn't matter where the money came/comes from, it has/is still being spent. I am delighted with the way the club has been run off the field, the odd grievance over 1 or 2 signings but I don't blame the board for that apart from Fletcher, but once English interest was shown we needed to better their financial offer and didn't. The figures also show the 'skint Rangers' was a myth, although it was money they didn't have anyway. CFC are one of the best ran football clubs in a financial sense.}

Agree2 Disagree0

I honestly dont get all this weakened Rangers will affect the SPL Scottish Football and CFC badly. I remember Liam Bradys tenure when he fought the good fight against Rangers superstars and before him Billy McNeil who was pretty much hamstrung in the transfer market. Rangers had Souness bringing the spine of the current England team to the dark side. Was there any talk then of a weakened Celtic? No, only a strong Rangers was discussed at that time. The result is the same a GAP between the sides. Earlier when John Greig was manager of Rangers they were woeful but Scottish football flourished in those times with a strong Aberdeen and DU. I know times have changed but given the lack of evidence that this will be a disaster as many so called football pundits are predicting i think we should all relax a bit. And also perhaps remember how not only Rangers minded people but the Scottish establishment sat back while our beloved CFC was going to the wall, I dont remember the debate about how bad that may have been for Scottish football!

Afternoon ED007, more comedy gold
on administration page go to their
rumours page 20.48 (yesterday)
they have started a petition to
ask the government to tell HMRC
NOT to pursue Rangers for any tax
debts. Priceless LOL Timalloy

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Without looking surely you are joking Tim ? If that was the case, i'm going to get everyone in work to send in a petition to see if we can get off with paying income tax...that's how ridiculous that statement is. Mrs E

Agree4 Disagree0

Mrs E, you know i like my wee jokes (more to come later) but this is 100% TRUE, I have just looked and it is still there with 15 replies all saying nothing to lose, give these guys a tv show their comedy knows no bounds LOl Timalloy

Agree2 Disagree0

I went had a look there is some really funny posts over at rangers page for a laugh i had a wee read at the rangers dodgy rumours and they are absoloute belters you should have a look lol davie c

Agree2 Disagree0

It looks like this is no joke..'someone' have just shared a link on my facebook inviting friends to sign a petition entitled ' Call for the Prime Minister to intervene in the HMRC v Rangers Football Club tax case'

Mrs E {Ed007's Note - Do 'mature' people use FB? What do you do Mrs, talk about knitting and what was in this week's People's Friend or Sunday Post?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Well Ed007 if some on my FB had asked for my 'mature' opinion it would have saved them making an undignified error of judgement in creating a petition like this. The Sunday Post is a smashing paper for sharing 'tips' to get you thru the trials of life. You never get in on here being slagged of like the S*n, I just don't know why ? Mrs E {Ed007's Note - How we can we slag the paper that supplies those big wooly slippers that both feet fit in one? You always say how comfy they are and would have made a difference in the 'good old days' :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

They have over 700 votes already lol

Ha...the big slipper, a great invention lol Just don't try to walk about in it ! Would have saved me burning my old weary feet at the coal fire. The Sunday Post also does a cracking range of his & her thermals and incontinence wear. Sometimes, as the years go by, your dignity has to come before fashion. Mrs E {Ed007's Note - We will take your word on the thermals I think, we've all seen Mrs Brown!!}

People may disagree but does anyone feel that with rangers in this current plight we should shift some of our reserves to teams like hearts. Dundee utd and motherwell because realistically I can see all of them beating rangers. Players like rasmussen and thwardziks could be loaned out to strengthen those teams.

Morning all, have anyone else of yoose noticed that Rankers points total on this new and updated league table probably makes about as much sense (to the outsider) as their account books?

I wonder if someone more in the know could help me I have a couple of questions about the Rangers Admin story

1. if Vat has been invoiced and PAYE collected and has now disappeared does that not constitute fraud with potential criminal proceedings rather that tax avoidance/evasion and that means that the REV WILL get that money before anyone else including white.

2. If Whyte bought Rangers with Ticketus money, then how is a creditor (never mind a secured creditor) as he actually put nothing at all into the company.

3. I keep hearing that Ibrox may be sold and rented back to Rangers, I don't see that that as being best use of the asset. I think there is a considerable value attached to the site both from salvage and scrap of the stands and then sale of the site for comercial, warehousing or residential development. This value is difficult to quantify but could be as high as 30 million I reckon that renting Ibrox back to Rangers would net at most 1 million per year after running costs. I realise the main facade needs to be retained but this could involve just pinning it to a concrete back structure.

4 if Whyte manages to get Rangers out of Administration then cant the Tax man then charge for both the big and small tax cases which are not part of this action. So Rangers could potentially go into receivership 3 times.

5. If liquidated and a new co ranger is formed it would have similar running costs the only real thing it could change is player wagers. this would mean that a new co rangers would need to have very slim squad probably on a par with Aberdeen or Hearts (probably less). There would be no possibility of some one doing a Murray and buying up players in the hope of run in the champions league. By my estimation that is neither stronger or fitter

Any Answers gratefully received

David

Ps I'm loving it

Ed - I'm sure I've read on here before but could you confirm if (big if) Rangers or Celtic or anyone for that matter were to join the English League, would they have to start in the conferences therefore requiring 6-7 promotions to compete in the Premier League?

GoldCoastBhoy {Ed001's Note - nobody knows because there is no plan in place to allow either in. Informal discussions have been held, but there is simply no interest from English clubs in having either or both of the Old Firm clubs in the English league.}

As a Celtic supporter I'm saddened by the news that are greatest rivals Rangers have went into administration. We really should help them out of this dire situation even if we have to go into our own pockets.
Yours truly Pinnochio

ANyone like me think it is possible these bumper deals effectivley doubling the top players wages have been offered with the possibility of the players going from now untill the end of the season without pay? Basically saying they were told, get double now and nothing later? Gives the club administrators a stronger hand when flogging the assets.

We all suspected this was all on the cards anyways, although i always expected it after the tribunal or in the close season. This thought ties in with the point someone raised on the rumoours page about people being told they wont be getting paid.

THoughts anyone?

So what you're saying is that the likes of Alan McGregor get offered £25k a week but in effect only get £12.5k a week.

What are you on. Total and utter p1sh.

Agree1 Disagree0

Well this week he's on NOWT

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok ok i give the first poster that my point was not so eloquently put, there is a lot of empasis of reading into what i was meaning rather than just taking it literally as such.

Shall i try again ....

Meaning i suspect that WHyte told the playing staff what would probably happen in the new year, to keep the top players at the club happy he offered them all bumper new deals that the club could not afford on the premise that they may go the last 2 or 3 months of their rangers career without a regular wage, hence why he doubled a lot of them.. Thus showing the players there was no need to jump ship just yet or in january as they are being handomley rewarded and are actually up on what they would have earned anyways regardless. It also put rangers in a stronger barganing position when selling the players. However my main point hidden in all of what i tried to put last night was that it is becoming very apparent that it may never have been his intentions to fulfill these or any other contracts!

So what am i on... well im on a tangent thats what, lighten up!
