Sorry but I think that's it now they have an appeal hearing on monday I think this is going to end badly for us i'm afraid

I can't see cas over ruling uefa to let them back in they broke the rules accidental or not! What kind of precedent would this set if a player is banned and he plays threw a ban then the rules clearly state the match is a forfeit! it's rules not different strokes for different folks .

No doom and gloom boys. The rule and punishment are in black and white. Legia broke the rule and the fixed punishment was applied. No grey area. The player did not nearly come on the field of play, he DID come on. He was still banned. Their argument is about fair play. If they overrule EUFA then might as well toss out the book and deal with each problem as it arises. My only concern would be the history of Legia in relation to using financial inducements to gain results. However, I would suspect EUFA, like FIFA, are above that sort of thing.

Wouldnt worry too much about it. At the end of the day Legia fans (like any other teams fans) would cause an uproar if club didn't exhaust every channel

I agree with DN30, they are letting their fans know they are trying but the facts are they used a banned player. Its black and white, a paper shuffling exercise.

Just read that cas said that they can still fast track for monday without uefa agreeing have you heard this ed or anyone?

Heard this on Snyde tonight! Could have swore a heard Johnstone snigger as the news broke! Not ideal flying out there when there is a chance of being turned away and verdict reveresed! Surely eufa compitition, eufa rules! If reveresed this will make a mockery of the rule book ( not that I think we should be there) but opens up any rules in future could be questioned!

Matt this whole appeal bolox just drags on and on. Until it ends for sure we don't know what's going on do we? It's one thing people saying there's no chance of them getting it overturned but as long as it's still alive there is always a chance. I'm getting a bit sick of it all to be honest.

Legia's appeal will be heard on Monday by CAS.
It was official earlier on today.
Agree0

Yeah TV are reporting the case will be heard on Monday. Fingers crossed the decision is upheld.

To be honest, I think we will be absolutely humped, so would gladly allow legia back in, except for the way they've blamed us for everything.
Agree0

Let's face it, Johnstone and his mob know all about bending the rules.

Boerrigter banned for two games for diving.a precedent has been set regarding this decision.we will see during the season how the govern bodies deal with other divers of which there are many.you would think by the reaction since Wednesday that this was something new creeping into the game IMO a f-----g joke.killy.

Well let's see if all teams get treated this way for simulation!
SFA complete and under Fa($ies
Agree0

The Scottish Football Authorities want to remind everyone at Celtic that although Celtic get treated fairly by UEFA, they should not have any false hopes of fair play within the SFA
Agree0

Yourman, we don't ever agree but rest assured from here on in ill b looking at every "simulation" through the season n making sure the punishment is meted out to all

did the sfa not ban a rangers player a couple of seasons ago for diving aluko r someone like that if so atleast they are sticking by the rules they set and players will think about diving cause they will be punished

They gave Derk a two match ban, because they said the ref made a mistake . Now that's a rare one .
I am sure there was contact by Mc Kay, maybe Derk went down easily, but surely that isn't a dive.
McKay got off because the ref didn't make a mistake .

Legia Warsaw, the club and supporters famous for fair play in doing the right thing. Just uploaded a pic showing their record.
1993-disqualified from winning league title for match fixing.
2007-kicked out of Intertoto cup because of crowd rampage, opposition awarded a 3-0 victory (hmmmm.)
2011- half empty stadium ban imposed for crowd rioting.
2013-racism trouble and has their main stand closed.
2013-forced to play in empty stadium due to police concerns for crowd safety.
2014- match abandoned after 45mins when their fans attacked opposition supporters.
Not really new to controversy, are they?

Tiny their past misdemeanors like now have nothing to do with us, we are faultless and blameless, cfc don't need need to explain anything, uefa should end this affair with an apology to us for being blamed for another clubs ineptetude
Agree0

Drb. totally agree. But the point is that controversy and Legia seem close partners and they are not the innocent wee boys they make out. They screwed up big time and are going to eke sympathy from whoever by any manner fair or foul.

Uefa has refused to support Legia Warsaw's fast track application to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) despite the Polish side claiming they had backing from the football organisation.
It means the case could drag on for as long as two months with Celtic due to face the Slovenian side Maribor next Wednesday.
Uefa support would have meant a decision by CAS could have been made by Monday before the next stage of the Champions League qualification takes place.

Why would Eufa support a CAS fast track application for an appeal that was rejected by eufa? Is it just me or does this just not make any sense?

ED, Can you inform me if there are any cost implications that Legia will receive should they endevour to continually not respect UEFAs decision. Hail Hail

I would like to see us go for Danny Wilson, he could be the perfect partner for Vvd, and they could form a great central defence.
