"Paddybhoy, im surprised you can actually see through those green tinted specs your quite clearly wearing. Lennon doesn't deserve the extent of abuse he has received and anyone who thinks its ok is just ridiculous, just as the death threats Nacho Novo and his family received, likewise the death threats Hugh Dallas and his family received. However, had the Rangers captain at that time, Barry Ferguson, done something similar he would have been vilified by your very own section of foaming at the mouth clowns, in fact, probably with you right at the front.

Baz the Bear {Ed007's Note - Is this the start of a beautiful friendship?}"

And what exactly did Neil Lennon do?

Also, there is no justification in death threats full stop, but those directed a Lennon were of a far more sinister nature than those directed at Novo or Dallas.

And Baz, you're being very unfair in your comments to Paddybhoy in saying "However, had the Rangers captain at that time, Barry Ferguson, done something similar he would have been vilified by your very own section of foaming at the mouth clowns, in fact, probably with you right at the front." I trust you've had a few sherberts and this is not your true opinion.

I'd like to say thanks to all Celtic fans (and indeed all kind fans around britain)for the respect they have shown towards Liverpool and the Hardships we have both suffered. Thank you -Mc

Baz, how about this for factual adult conversation, who proved that Neil Lennon called Rangers fans, orange barstewards?. Was it the same ibrox lipreaders that reported him for racial abuse? You are completely wrong about the racial abuse never being proven, it never happened, diouf said it never happened. What part of that do you not understand
You don't like name calling of your manager, well this is a banter page, and i suggest you look at the name calling our esteemed manager gets, it's a lot more than the fat apprentice. and walter no surname, i also would have done more than spit on a Rangers scarf, if i took a hundreth of the sectarian bile that Neil Lennon has had to put up with, from foaming at the mouth ibrox faithful ! paddybhoy

People should look up Kelvin McKenzie, he was the editor of the s*n, read the stories he had printed about liverpool fans, absolutely disgusting, the s*n is not sold on merseyside, and any decent fan should keep clear of it, they have never apoligised for any of it, the guy mckenzie was an egomaniac who has sullied the name of an entire city with his lies, even people from the s*n didn't want to run the story but were scared of him. I lean towards Man Utd but after the memorial game I can't be bothered with the man utd v lfc bile. Even up here the s*n prints alot of made up nonsense and any decent football fan should not buy it, how many sensationalised stories has been printed about players of both Old Firm clubs in the s*n and NOTW. I wouldn't wipe a dogs arse with either of the rags.
Rant over lol

DON'T BUY THE S*N

Show them your support, post on the LFC page, we can not imagine how the city was and is affected. I am too young to remember the Ibrox Disaster, but it is the same scale of pain I imagine.

Totally agree Sickbhoy, remember the fallen. Got a chance to chat with some of the Liverpool fans who paraded a banner to remember the fallen 96 at Hillsborough and 66 at Ibrox disasters and they where real football fans. Genuinely decent guys and a fantastic tribute.

Sickbhoy, i was at the game, we were in the oak bar before the game, there were loads of Liverpool boys in, and your heart was broken for them, thinking of what they had been through, the Celtic fans never said much to them that night, but we were there for a wee cuddle and a shake of the hand, it's all we could do, we couldn't understand what they were going through. I still get emotional thinking of that night, and i will always remember the fans mixed in together, holding each other, while everyone sung YNWA, Such a waste of so many lives, that could have been avoided. Paddybhoy can yo actually have an adult conversation or is it all just about name calling and mud slinging? Lennon was caught on camera spitting on the Rangers scarf then calling Rangers fans "orange b**tards". As for what he "allegedly" said to Diouf and Weiss, obviously that can never be proven. Anyway, Ill leave you to it, im away to talk to my 18 month old daughter, i get a better conversation with her.

Alexei Eremenko does not believe he has a future at Kilmarnock but would be interested in joining Celtic or Rangers.

Let us all not forget the 96 lost lives at Hillsborough on this day in 1989. Does Anyone else remember the game at Parkhead? LFCs first since the tragedy, one of the strangest atmospheres I have ever experienced at a match, I was only 15 and can still remember the feeling standing there in the Jungle. Hopefully a feeling I never have to feel again over football. And I lean more towards Man Utd than LFC, but life is more important than a football match, maybe some of the Old Firm fans should realise this. God Bless the 96 and all their kin. R.I.P. YNWA.

Re: The reason Lennon got the ban was because this was his fourth of fifth incident like this this year all exactly same offences . . this was Mccoists first . .

. . . plus mccoist was actually banned he then appealed this ban lennon did not as celtic instead choose to use a loophole to have his other bans reduced.

I don't know why everyone is saying Loovens is leaving because despite kelvin wilson coming in, I still think he has a place in the team especially due to his super performances in the last 3 games. Anyways ljunberg not to get a new contract and hinkel set to leave in the summer(probs a contract termination). Also ellis wants a bigger percentage of rangers, this is why that deal has went so quiet and high possibility of it not happening {Ed007's Note - Hinkels deal runs out in the summer anyway I'm sure}

Can we please forget about the SFA and sectarian singing for two minutes? Instead, we should be talking about the fact that we're top of the league and playing the best and most exciting football we've played for years. I can't wait to see what this team can produce in Europe (if we can keep kayal and izza and bring in a few decent signings) whether it be the champions league or europa league. Lets get the focus back on the football and cheer Lenny and the bhoys on to the double! HAIL HAIL

Baz the Bear {Ed007's Note - On TV it looked as if both of them were as bad as each other. I only watched it after it to see what all the furore was, I'm just saying it is strange that it is only Lennon who has been punished, and no way in the EPL would Boughera get away with man handling a referee, and as for Diouf, trouble just follows him, no one in England wants him and he will only bring disharmony in the dressing room, he has done it at every club. Both clubs shamed themselves and only one guy is punished, imagine a Man Utd v Liverpool game that ended up like that would SAF be happy to take the sole blame for it??}

{Ed007's Note - The name has been removed and won't be allowed again.}

Cheers ed, if only the S.F.A were as decisive as you haha

Why when theres any whisper of secterian abuse does Neil Lennon get brought up like the ring leader haha. The man is an example of how brutal secterian abuse can be. Not because he constantly goes about shouting it, but because hees always the target. The man has had numerous death threats, had to give up playing for his country, his family have been jepordised and requires constant security around him and his house. Why? Cos he plays for a primarily Catholic supported team. The might glasgow celtic. And you want to know the best bit. He just can't get enough!

Baz, Neil Lennon was proved right in his stand against the ref at tannadice, he swore at the ref at tynecastle, so what! even that ould goat smith, has been known to swear at refs, and fight with opposition managers. As for the sectarian stuff, lennon has been accused of, where is your evidence? surely it can't be from the ibrox lip readers, who wanted him strung up for racist comments he allegedlly made to diouf, until diouf stood up and said there were no such comments made. Funny how that went very quiet. As for spitting on the Rangers scarf, its probably the nearest it got to a good wash. Mccoist should have shook lennys hand at the final whistle, but the wee snake, couldn't take the defeat like a real man, and whispered something in lennys ear, then stood back like the little do gooder, that he likes to portray himself as. He showed himself up, as a sneak!

Ed, at no point did i mention Bougherra or Diouf. Undoubtedly Bougherra should have been punished, as for Diouf well we been over him many times so that's another can of worms, all i was talking about was Lennon and McCoist and at the end of the day Lennon has probably paid for all his previous misdemeanours rather than simply that one game. As for McCoist, you can't charge him for saying something in Lennons ear, especially when no-one even knows what was said. The point i was making was players give each other dogs abuse on the park but its ALWAYS the person who reacts to something that is said who is punished! Materazzi, Zidane, World Cup Final?

Baz the Bear {Ed007's Note - Was only passing my opinion on the whole thing and why one person was the only one punished. McCoist is only an assistant manager, so should try to carry himself like his mentor Walter Smith( a complete gentleman as far as I know).I just hope both of them have learned their lesson. The Greatest Derby in the world should be a spectacle the country should be proud of. In my humble opinion you don't want to lose the passion (which McCoist and Lennon are brimming with) its all the nonsense that goes with it. Lets hope it can get back to what matters, a football match between two of the biggest clubs in the world, probably the best derby in the world too. The EPL would have hammered both clubs over a match like that.}
