For the first and last time, I have never doubted his ability but like many (including Trappatoni) I have had questions over his attitude. He was great yesterday. He has been great on a number of occasions but then he goes and ruins it off the field. And sometimes on the feld he can't really be bothered. When he's on form he is top class. How much more do you want me to write in oreder to get it into your thick head that I am not criticising his talent?
And definitely for the last time, he needs to stay below the radar and stop bringing trouble into his life. If he does that then he will play every game for his country.

Kbarry, I have said regularly that Stokes is a good player. Many times. I have nothing against him. I actually like him as a player when he puts his mind to it.
Your original post implied that Trappatoni was the reason Stokes doesn't get picked for Ireland, my answer said that it was Stokes behaviour and attitude that meant he didn't get picked. But that wasn't enough for you, was it? You had to keep going and going and using aggressive language.

Thought Stokes was outstanding today and can't be dropped on that form for Milan. Also, big Virgil looks immense and wins every ball in the air and well as being classy on the ball and he seems to be making the whole defence play better. Dare I say that Ambrose looked great as well and Izzy was looking like his old self. All in all, a very good performance before Milan. How are we all feeling for Wednesday?. martyc1888
