Been watching sly sports and if they played the De Gea save once they played it a hundred times, yes it was good but it was made with his feet and a keeper that makes a save with his feet will never be a great save.
May I remind all that it was CG who was voted best save of all time in the EPL, along with his save last week against Hibs those 2 saves beggared belief.
So to all his critics and there are many, (even on here) you will miss him when he is gone.
I find it funny that people say he is no Forster etc etc, some have short memories as he got plenty of criticism on here esp for not coming for crosses.

Difference was that big Fraser was still learning his trade and matured into one of the best keepers in Britain while at Celtic. He got better every season. Craig Gordon is still making the same mistakes as he always has.

15 Oct 2017 00:32:33
De Gea and big Fraser and Hart and all the other supposedly great keepers still make mistakes, Gordon isn't the only one.

Not the main point of your argument rayman, but how can a save with your feet not be a great save? Does that come directly from 'the big book of great save rules' or did you just decide that?

Agree0 Disagree1

15 Oct 2017 08:29:19
Sly are just trying there hardest to make a game they over invested in look like a super game when in reality it wasn't any better than Clyde vs Stirling just the money is ridiculous in comparison.

15 Oct 2017 08:38:59
Keepers jobs to stop the ball going in any way he can was a great save. And couldn’t agree more Gordo it’s pathetic the way they build up games and talk them all up and there complete dross! Mibi we should all do the same.

Wish we would campsie bhoy but our media are only intrested in praising one team where is all the praise for Aberdeen and how great they have started the season you would think sevco where top and unbeaten.

So Kev, was Forster out commanding his box by the end of his time at Celtic? That was the biggest weakness in his game and still is, so your point makes no sense whatsoever.

Agree0 Disagree1

15 Oct 2017 12:02:20
I know its all about opinions NT but I have never seen a save of the season or been on youtube watching brilliant saves etc and the keeper saves it with his feet.
I cannot in living memory recall a save a keeper saving with his feet that was called brilliant, or raved about.
I don't think for a minute if Banks had saved Pele header in the world cup with his feet it would be remembered to this day lol.

Did anyone see Big FF today he had a mare, palming ball out to striker when it was easier to put it round for a corner then striker beats him at near post.
Can you imagine if CG did that lol, remember big FF is supposed to be worth upwards of 20m I think we did no bad for a keeper who cost nothing.

16 Oct 2017 08:35:24
I think if banks had made the save with his feet it would be more memorable as he'd have needed 3 legs.

I think most keepers wouldn't have adjusted to save the one de gea made, maybe why it was such a good save.

Couldn't make game today bhoys how did koassi play and good to see tcham score do wonders for his confidence.

Both were poor.

Agree0 Disagree2

14 Oct 2017 21:09:13
It's worrying how poor we are when brown isn't playing! That's 2 home games in a row our centre midfield has been well below what's needed! Must be a worry for the manager if brown is out for any length of time!

14 Oct 2017 22:09:33
Not too sure about that comment maybe an extended run for both players will boost their confidence and performances.

If you're not scottish you will be poor in kevs eyes .

I thought he done ok without being great. Moves around pitch well and knows how to put himself about.

They can't be judged on this game, need a proper run, to get match sharp and fit.

Ntchams been very average including today. At the moment he doesn't look a 4.5 million player.

Agree1 Disagree3

15 Oct 2017 09:19:29
@TTTS: Where's that come from? I like Kouassi and Ntcham but neither of them had a good game yesterday.

Agree0 Disagree1

16 Oct 2017 07:53:30
Ntcham has had lots if game time. don't think he has got it. Kouassi needs some time on the pitch before we know if he can cut it but can't see Ntcham turning into a player of any great value. When Brown is there he looka ok but on his own he looks exposed.

In all honesty i can't remember a run of fixtures so tricky ever in my lifetime. Granted the Munich game is all the glamour and glory, but domestically this is as tough as it gets.

Dundee today, if that horrible whining turncoat has the minerals, should have a free go at it. Will they? i suspect not, but do expect a physical match to test us with no Broony.

Lets take it one game at a time and please you moaners, if we are locked in at one-one get behind the team . As i have said before if ANY Celtic team deserve some slack its this one.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

14 Oct 2017 13:11:16
Got to agree GJ; any momentum and rhythm we had in September has been hindered by the international break and the unfortunate injuries to Broony and Armstrong - who was looking more like his old self against Sevco.
Simunovic will be another big loss as I am expecting a battle today, just as it was in the cup when he had them fired up to kick us off the park and we will need to be at it from KO but I expect us to do enough to win.
The game i do worry about is the Hibs semi-final as it follows an away CL game and we have not won any of these corresponding games yet?
All in all we have the best squad in the country and it will be a big test of resources and resilience to continue this unbeaten domestic run throughout this difficult month.

I'm sure we won after PSG mate although maybe not convincingly.

Agree1 Disagree1

14 Oct 2017 14:44:26
PSG was home game mate; I was talking about away games to Anderlecht and Astana when we drew both following domestic games (St Johnstone and Hibs)

FGJ. How about Scottish Cup Final v Aberdeen, European Cup Final v Inter Milan and league match v Kilmarnock all in the space of seven days?!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Oct 2017 10:54:09
Talking of the run of games, can anyone explain why our semi final is at 12:15 after a CL away trip, yet the Sevco semi is at 14:30 on the Sunday? It's bad enough making us play on the Saturday, but to make it such an early kick off - and the second semi being that much later - is taking the piss. I know the obvious answers but is there any way at all in which this can be justified? If not, Celtic should demand an explanation.
Sorry if this has been covered already.

15 Oct 2017 16:13:00
a lot of people forget about the state of the pitch might be
after the first game is played so be grateful we might be playing on a better pitch whitch suits our type of football
remember win lose or draw the players should get a buzz from a semi final. they must raise their game against lenny.

Sevco played on the Friday too, have no midweek game yet get the Sunday slot?

Here ed007 that looks like a right good appointment that Kilmarnock have made eh?
Don't think he's a top manager but for them it a big achievement.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - It's a great appointment for them, Kev.}

14 Oct 2017 12:54:41
About time teams in this league stop gambling on explayer that haven't served their apprenticeship in coaching and management.
It very rarely works out throwing a guy straight fae his playing career into a management job in the top league in any country.
But this appointment shows maybe even the smaller teams in scotland can attract a better quality if they try.

Top bloke, his brother Paul was my manager in the youth ranks at killie. Both really good guys and on the level with players. Too many managers spend their blowing smoke up their player backsides cause they need to be treated like kids just to keep them happy.
