u serious, no chance we will do Scotland home and away, 6 points in the bag.

Agree0 Disagree1

I hope Scotland and Ireland don't damage both teams chances by drawing both matches . Three points each or six points for Ireland would be just right

The ref did scotland a massive favour last night by not sending Greer off, for a shocking, leg breaking challenge on lewandowski, one the worst I have seen for a long time, never even awarded a free kick disgraceful shocking officiating.killy.

ED

you said no one after the EL games were complaining

you obviously didn't speak to everyone because the people I spoke to after the zagreb game were complaining (and rightly so. )

not about the effort but about the passing, positioning, game intelligence, lack of chances, over reliability on our goalie etc

I do want to see positives (gordon was good that night, albeit you probably saw that differently)

the hearts game and scoreline flattered us

the zagreb scoreline faltered us

salzburg (i recall) racked up about 25 chances against us and that scoreline flattered us

the maribor home match was heart attack stuff

legia wiped the floor with us

we deserved nowt at Dens park

we could and should have been 2-0 down against motherwell

we were hanging on against aberdeen

we deserved nothing up at inverness and st mirren merited a point against us when we got all 3

we blew dundee united away (granted.)

I can be positive and partial, but you (for some obscure reason) are seeing things (in my opinion) that aren't there

if you want to build and operate and sell tickets for the RD bandwagon then that is your call but if you think I am being unfair or disingenuous, I can say the same about you when it comes to your strident view of Mr Delia (a lot of which I think is baseless)

i will use a phrase you often use, the RD supports will be proven right in the end or the RD doubters

remember however, there is no pleasure in the RD doubters being proven correct

can we agree on that at least?

{Ed007's Note - You obviously didn't speak to everyone either after the Zagreb game, so I'm not even going to waste my time reading the rest of your post. It's the sign of a desperate man that needs to make things personal, a lie doesn't become truth, a wrong doesn't become right and evil doesn't become good just because it's accepted by a majority. Because some people agreed with you only proves you that you're running about with people who don't have a clue, so you're well suited.}

I was delighted with the Zagreb result and everyone on our bus seemed happy enough on the way home. I was expecting us to get beat and felt we'd be lucky to even get a draw from. I don't know why people wouldn't be happy with beating the groups favourite. I've seen posters mention that football's a results driven business, we got a result so what's the problem. you're doing the players a disservice considering the problems we've had getting results in Europe over recent years. We have a fair chance of qualifying from the group now and people are still finding faults, what else did you want them to do, play them off the park and loose like we did with against Hamilton Some fans have a need to to moan, and are a their happiest spreading doom and gloom you should phone radio Snyde, paradisewon, they love Hoops supporters like you on there. You've just took a dump over everything the team done, if you think we should and could have been 2-0 down to Motherwell what do you think we should and could have done v Hamilton

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Sorry but I don't believe you, Joe, unless Paradisewon and his expert cronies asked your opinion, it's hard trying to explain things to people who don't understand what they're talking about but you had no right to think beating Zagreb was a good result, how VERY dare you enjoy the match. Paradisewon and his friends didn't so why should you? (headbang)

I think you are misreading paradises post, beating zagreb was a good result but paradise said the result flattered us, do you disagree with that.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - What did I misread?

you said no one after the EL games were complaining

you obviously didn't speak to everyone because the people I spoke to after the zagreb game were complaining (and rightly so. )

Seems pretty straightforward enough to me. Do you disagree that he typed that?}

I don't think many people could argue with what paradisewon is saying.
Whether you are for or against Ronny, this season has been poor up till now.
It is supposed to be a one team league, yet without the supposedly 3 biggest clubs to challenge us we are currently lying in 6th place midway through October. We are even struggling to beat the promoted teams
I can only judge Ronny on what I have seen, I didn't know anything about him before he arrived, but he should be getting it sorted by now.
With the level of competition, any manager worth his salt would have us clear at the top of the league by now

Agree0 Disagree0

I do not disagree that he wrote that, do you disagree that the result flattered us?.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - So what part did I misread?}

Celtic can only play SPL matches against teams in the SPL . It's certainly not Celtic's fault that Hearts and Hibs were not able to keep their place in the SPL . The Rangers International are too young to have earned a place in the SPL . Every member of the SPL are in the league on merit .

Agree0 Disagree0

See regardless of how Delias reign was going to start whether he was winning every game 10-0 or not, he was always not going to be accepted as manager cause too many people are living in dark ages with this celtic minded pi$h

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Were you complaining after winning a EL game and if not why not? Imagine how sh1te would it be to win every European game 1-0?}

You misread the point he was trying to make, you say you stopped reading, so maybe you didn't understand what he was trying to say, but to answer my question, do you think the zagreb result flattered us?, .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - How did I misread or not understand?

'you said no one after the EL games were complaining

you obviously didn't speak to everyone because the people I spoke to after the zagreb game were complaining (and rightly so. )'

If anyone's misreading and not understanding it's you, I think it's pretty self explanatory. You've still not cleared up your initial point so we'll concentrate on that before we move onto the next one, it's the logical process, so what did I misread or not understand? Surely you can explain what you meant, after all you wrote it.
Look up the definition of flatter btw.

Flatter - to lavish praise and compliments on (someone), often insincerely and with the aim of furthering one's own interests. - That doesn't really fit does it but I was sincerely happy and so were others I spoke to so it wasn't self-interest to be happy with the win, it was the best result for the team, 3 points on the table in a European group. Although I admit I am selfish to the fact that I like to see CFC win games, and praise and compliment them when they do, don't you?

Flatter - to cause (someone) to feel honoured and pleased. - YES!!! Definitely, I'm honoured to call myself a CFC fan and take great pride it in and I was pleased to see them win, weren't you?

So obviously the result flattered us, or at least it did with most people who look for faults in everything just to suit their own agenda of dissing everything about the club.
Are we any further forward with what I misread or didn't understand yet?}

This is getting beyond ridiculous now.

The team have been booed off more games than not and I think we're all hoping that changes, soon!

Agree0 Disagree0

You win ed, I was wrong about you misreading it, you just misinterpreted it,
Flatter: to make something look or seem better than it is.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I can't see that definition anywhere, are you sure that's not just what you think it means. So what did I misinterpret, it's there in black and white so it should be easy enough for you to explain or elaborate, how can I misunderstand, misread and now misinterpret a statement saying everyone Paradisewon spoke to was complaining after us winning a European match 1-0. There is no other interpretation you can take from that, it's pretty straightforwad and to the point, maybe you're misinterpretting what was written rather than reading what was actually written, were you and everyone you know complaining we won a match nobody really gave us much chance in? One of the first text messages I got after the Zagreb goal was from an ex-player saying 'F***ing great result. Next round here we come' so I'd say he seemed pleased enough.
I dread to think how distraught Paradisewon was the night we beat Barca, I was that flattered that night I nearly broke my ankle, I wonder what him and his cronies complained about after that match, cold pies, Hoopy's dodgy dance moves, a guy in front kids gettig a bit scared after Tony Watt's goal, maybe the grass was too green!}

Ed you have got wrong jist of what i'm saying. What i'm saying is no matter how successful delia is, there will always be that faction who will discredit him cause he is not "celtic minded".

Im not slating him in anyway so why would I be complaining if we won 1-0?

{Ed007's Note - I was being sarcastic with you in relevance to the thread topic(doh)

Apologies ed lol

Hey Ed, I had to reregister there I forgot my password. how can you ask people on a football forum if they read too much about football rather than watch it? I'm off work to watch the kids during the holidays and there's no football to watch so I'm doing what everyone does and reading about the Hoops on the internet and I read the paper eating my breakfast, I take it the people voting no don't use social media or read articles on the official site neither. There's written exams when you do coaching badges and plenty of information you have to study written by some of the finest coaches in the game, you'd learn more from reading over Arsene Wengers training methods in his own words than you will from watching Dunfermline v Alloa. I just think it's an odd question on a football forum, obviously it's your job ed to read up on football and keep up to date with stuff but I thought everybody else liked to do the same. If you don't understand something you either read about it or you can't comment, we've all sat beside people at the game that has an opinion on everything and knowledge of nothing. Football fans are the most passionate of any sport and the all want to know as much as possible about the game, it's why we come to sites like this, I know I've learnt loads on here from ed and the posters

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Sshhh I'm trying to learn how to do a triple by-pass operation from an old episode of casualty on UK Gold. There's more people read about Roy Keane's new book than watched the Scotland game on TV. How else would we have anything to talk about if we didn't read about football?
There's a button to click if you forget your password btw.}

You have to laugh. NL says in an interview that Bolton players are not allowed to wear hats and gloves during training. He said 'they don't wear these things during a game so why in training?' He might have mentioned that to Sammy during his celtic years, the guy looked like Scott of the Antartic on the training pitch. and that was in July lol. Markie

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Fair comment! Perhaps it's just hime being more strict with players.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't see the Bolton fans causing an uproar about it if they don't win their next game. Maybe if Brendan Rodgers had done that Liverpool would have won the league last season and I wouldn't have been 50 sheets out of pocket.

Agree2 Disagree0

Or you shouldn't have bet on Liverpool! Like seriously, why?

Was also interesting I saw NL saying we went for six Bolton players? Mills and Beckford I know we were in for but really, I can't see anybody in that team worth going for apart from maybes Lee the Korean international.
