so, for all their rabbiting on about how great the EPL is - Chelsea, Man Utd, Spurs are all out of the CL.
And those are some of their big guns.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Do you think playing in a weak league is affecting English teams in Europe? After playing teams like Huddersfield, Burnley or Brighton etc it's a huge step up to play against Europe's elite teams. Maybe it's down to money and teams like Juventus and Sevilla have budgets that dwarf teams like Man Utd and Spurs...

15 Mar 2018 00:36:10
Man Utd fan in work slagging off La Liga saying how poor it is. Playing teams like Girona and Getafe. Then they get knocked out and totally outplayed over the 180 minutes by Sevilla who have lost more games than them two teams and only 2 points ahead of Girona in the league!

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2018 07:03:32
Yeah, think it is down to money, the English teams pay their players too much, their teams contain too many players who are only motivated by money, think that because they get paid X amount, they can just turn up to a game and win,

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Mar 2018 07:58:42
Most over rated league in the world. An English side should be winning CL every couple of seasons with the tv money that's thrown at them not once every decade.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - but two of the 3 richest teams in the world are Spanish, so, if it is all about money, Spain should win 2 out of 3 really.}

Good yin ED; (chuckle) How many times have Celtic supporters heard that over ther years?

I got stick on the united site about the state of scottish football. i told them that we would beat his team (Everton) home and away, and i told another one who asked me why a Celtic fan was on united page that i have probably been to more united games than him, all the other united lads know united have been my other team since primary school, i always say to them how many times did man city beat Celtic in europe last year? oh that's right none so scottish football can't be that bad lol.

Think it was Paul Merson who said that English teams are the most dominant in Europe now, and every big club like Real, Barcelona and the rest will be running scared! They're a lot like Sevco fans these English pundits and there media, totally deluded and a massive sense of self importance! I for one will support anyone who’s playing an English team, and just love it when they get humped!

Agree2 Disagree0

15 Mar 2018 13:17:50
Pretty much the same lh86, love seeing them get humiliated in Europe, it's even better seeing them get battered on and off the pitch at international tournaments.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Over the last 10 years English teams have played Spanish teams 26 times in knockout games - the Spanish have won 22 of those.
Jamesbhoy, don't you refer to Man Utd as 'we' on their site and their live chat? Shouldn't you be sticking up for the English game in that case?}

15 Mar 2018 13:22:34
6 of the top 10 richest teams are English.

15 Mar 2018 13:37:25

Take out Man utd, Man city, Chelsea, spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool. The league then looks like the Championship. Over hyped league in the world.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Mar 2018 19:05:58
Pud, that used to be right but this season it is a one horse race . These clubs have so much money they cannot spend it stupidly enough . If someone told you ten years ago a club eg Manchester United could release their best youngster because the manager Ferguson wasn't happy with his agent . You would laugh . How much more would u laugh if you were told a new Utd manager paid a king's ransom for same player. Within 18 mths or so the player Pogba spends most of his time on the bench .
That shouldn't happen in a proper football base football league.

Guys I was just looking at the odds for SPFL top goalscorer and could not believe the odds
Boyd and Morelos are favourites at 2/ 1 (yes I could not believe it either)
Sinclair is 10/ 1, Griffiths 12/ 1
and Dembele is a huge 40/ 1 (the place odds are 1/ 5 for 3 places so the 3 Celtic players even placed would give you as good a return as the 2/ 1 shots
I know your money is tied up for another 2 months, but it could be money in the bank.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

14 Mar 2018 20:35:32
What site are you getting 40/ 1 for dembele best i could see was 20/ 1 still a steal but would rather get the 40 HH.

14 Mar 2018 21:21:50
Guys they were on sly bet this morning, but now down to 20/ 1 think some tims must have plunged on, even at 20/ 1 a decent bet.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Mar 2018 21:31:55
Dembele would need to score about 2 goals a game in order to win top goal scorer as he is currently on 7 goals in the league. Now add to that his injury problems. Personally I don't see this as a good bet, even at 40/ 1.

The same applies to Griffiths.

Sinclair is probably the best bet of the three but it looks like he may be struggling for game time, so would probably avoid that as well.

I am not a betting man but this is how I would structure my bets if I were.

Start with £10 so you have 10 chances
--------------------------------------
Bet £1 on something with evens odds, so I double my stake.

If it wins I have my remaining £9 plus £2.

Now bet £2 on something with evens odds, so I double my stake again.

If you win 10 evens bets in a row you will now be up over £1000. If you lose any on the way, then you are only down £1 from your starting position.

Once I got to the £1000 mark, I would bank it and start again with the £1 bet and repeat.

If you felt like taking a higher risk at the £1,000 mark, you only need to win 10 more evens bets to be a millionaire.

So here is how it works

£1 - starting stake
£2 - after 1st bet
£4 - after 2nd bet
£8 - after 3rd bet
£16 - after 4th bet
£32 - after 5th bet
£64 - after 6th bet
£128 - after 7th bet
£256 - after 8th bet
£512 - after 9th bet
£1024 - after 10th bet
£2048 - after 11th bet
£4096 - after 12th bet
£8192 - after 13th bet
£16384 - after 14th bet
£32768 - after 15th bet
£65536 - after 16th bet
£131072 - after 17th bet
£262144 - after 18th bet
£524288 - after 19th bet
£1048576 - after 20th bet.

since the game on Sunday one thing has struck me, we don't seem to be getting credit for a really good display. In various outlets i have seen that sevco should hace won, IF, they had taken their chances. What chances?

After they scored we were playing, nice passes and had movement about us, indeed the Rogic goal came from composed movement. The second equaliser came again as we had settled into a nice rythym.

Second half we started well, lost Jozo and stepped up, again playing nice passing football. Look at the goal. At no time were we rattled or under the cosh. So where is this nonsense coming from?

Believable8 Unbelievable3

14 Mar 2018 15:31:56
You're right FGJ. Apart from our two centre halves having a bit of a nightmare I thought the rest of the team was composed and even after the early set back they did not allow nerves or the occasion to get to them.

Scott Bain in particular did brilliantly for his first game and his kicking was generally spot on helping in the build up to rogic's goal.

Everyone in the media, supposedly impartial, talked them up all week on the basis that they have improved with more goals scored and that they would beat us. They had the best record since Murty became manager but avoided the fact we had played one game less and had we won that game we would have the best record.

Now in the aftermath we hear if they had a full strength team they would have won and that key players will be back for the Scottish Cup and they'll beat us in that. Maybe they will as it's a one off game but. we're also missing key players and have had the worst run of injuries to key players in BRs time.

Very proud of the team and the way they performed, celebrated and spoke to the media after the game.

Class shines through.

Agree7 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'm a bit disappointed that we only managed to score the same amount of goals against them as Accies the other week but then again, Accies were at home and we were away.}

14 Mar 2018 15:56:25
Haha never considered that Ed. But that is another very valid point about their defence being a shambles during Murty's reign.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I was always confident that we would score a couple on Sunday for that very reason.}

14 Mar 2018 17:44:04
I watched the game again and just before their goal Bates is nearly ripping the shirt of wee jamsie rite in front of the ref. The officials tried their best at helping them which is so obvious when you watch it again.

Agree3 Disagree1

14 Mar 2018 18:40:15
@Pud, don't know how the ref didn't see that as he done it twice and he was only a few yards away.

14 Mar 2018 18:52:32
The scoreline and continued total domestic dominance is credit enough as far as I'm concerned. We have never enjoyed an objective, honest and balanced media in Scotland, where truth and integrity is replaced by bitterness, mischief making, delusion and even bigotry.
The record books and history will show the real story.

Agree4 Disagree0

14 Mar 2018 21:57:02
Mistakes cost them and had they took their chances they'd have won. also seen them saying they was the better team? Ridiculous claims. I think it was so more our own mistakes that nearly cost us. 2 gifts from defensive mistakes and a silly elbow. All our goals was really well taken!

A sham of an organisation that cower from the orcs abuse. The media is just as bad hunting thru social media for anything that will look bad for celtic. The Sinclair story is printed he took :Abuse" from 3 business men which changed too 2 yet when it's Martin getting abuse the words that where shouted at him from 2 neds are printed. The business men where escorted from the airport. If that was me or anyone else you would be straight to the cells.

Nil by mouth are a joke . I read Phil Macs interview with them about sectarianism in general . After torrents of threats and abusive emails and complaints from the hoardes, they changed their view and hung him out to look like a bigot 😠😠😠.

With Scott Bain looking good at the weekend I'd definitely keep him between the sticks until he does something worthy of being dropped. In the summer, keeper-wise, I'd 100% let DDV go and then it depends on what BR thinks about Bain and Gordon. If we go out and buy a new keeper I'd like somebody like Yann Sommer. He's under 30, experienced first pick international, played in Bundesliga and CL. Probably out of our price range as he's still got a couple of years left on his deal but someone of that ilk.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

14 Mar 2018 13:03:56
Would release Dorus definitely, but would also, happily let Gordon 'retire at the top' with his medals and go with Bain - if he proves himself, plus another keeper in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Mar 2018 21:09:54
I don't think Hendry will be in goals anyway.
Bain did exceptionally well and I think he will get a wee run in goals to see if he can play well consistently. I have seen keepers come in and do great for a game or two and then their standards can slip.

I agree our back line needs cleared out Boyata, Gamboa and Jozo as well as Biton but of the opinion Lustig should be allowed to see his career out at Celtic Park even its on a lesser deal for less games. Loyalty (sorry faithfulness) is a two way street and he's been a great servant to the Club who has earned the right for me. ☘️.
