I'm really looking forward to the match tomorrow. Two footballing teams competing for the first trophy of the season. The weather is looking pretty decent and Broonies hangover will have long gone. I hope the newly laid turf is not an issue because I just don't see how new grass can take so quickly in a chilly old March.Lets hope our strikers can do the business because Celtic have superior fire power. Never mind the 'gerrintae them'stuff, just play them off the park, and score more than them.

Pitch is in excellent condition, was lucky enough to be at the stadium today.

I can't see anything other than a Celtic win, provided of course the officials don't spoil the match! I have not been the most confident watching Celtic this season, but we are used to the big games and I can't see Dundee Unt getting close today. This is not the league. For me it's at least a 3-0 or 3-1 to Celtic, maybe more? Can said Unt really having a go at us today which is exactly how we want them to play. If the sit back and go on the break it will be more difficult, but it's a cup final and they are a young team do after the 1-1 draw last week they will fancy their chance so I hope they try and attack and play football. Commons will score, hope Bitton is back alongside Brown and we allow Johannson to get forward to support Griffiths.

Its great to be excited about domestic football again. Hope you all have a wild day up in Glasgow, and that the result goes the right way. My first final was Celtic-Utd in '88 so I've always liked them. That we picked up such great players in GMS and Armstrong only adds to that and Jackie!

Yeah should be a good game. Hail! & hail.

Just seen photos of Broonie drunk there. Typical of media, making mountain out of a molehill! There is absolutely no issue here and he is doing nothing wrong other than have a good night out with friends in which he has ended up smashed.

Its not surprising the media have conviently left out fact that Broonies behaviour has always been impeccable and he has never caused any disgrace to club.

Personally I hope he had good night and GIRUY Daily Rancid

Looks like it was the date stated given that he has reportedly appologised. Probably not the best idea to get smashed being a "24/7" athlete but aye it's still been
blown out of proportion. I don't have the fitness coaches KPIs at hand but if there's anybody whos fitness cannot be questioned it's Browns.

DN30, get a grip. How is Brown "doing nothing wrong". So it's ok for anyone in the Celtic team to go out and get drunk when they feel like it? What does RD do with the next player who does the same? He has to do the same as he did with Brown, just turn a blind eye. It does not matter how good a player he is or how fit he is. It shows a lack of respect for RD when he is preaching being a 24 hr athlete so defend his actions if you want. He is the Celtic captain he is ment to lead the way. Sometimes even you have to hold your hands up. You would do yourself more favours by just saying nothing about the incident rather than try to say it was ok what he did? Behave.

Johnnymac what planet are you from? Get a grip! The boys behaviour off the field is outstanding and we have all over done it at times on the bevy! Scott Brown is no different! Basically your saying that any celtic player is not allowed to enjoy themselves off the field, how pathetic!

A non story, like every other story that pish poor rag produces. This was either some second rate hack couldn't believe his luck when stumbling across Scott enjoying a night out or some dobber is grassing him in to the papers. Either way it amounts to the same gutter press reporting.
Scottie, like everyone else, is entitled to a night out now and again.

You can defend Brown all you want. If you want to be as best as you can be as a professional footballer you just don't do that. End of. If it's so ok let's change the training program and tell all the players that by getting pissed every couple of months will improve your fitness. Do you think RD thinks this is ok? Listen if he did nothing wrong why is he apologising. I am a big fan of Brown and I'm not saying he should be banned or dropped. What I am saying is what he did was wrong and contradicts what RD is trying to do at the club. So players either support what RD is trying to do or they say it's not important for the club captain to support the managers views. It's one or the other. Insisting he has done nothing wrong is just nonsense. It's against everything the manager is trying to install in the squad. End of.

Good job it wasn't Stokes, he would have been handed over by his clubs own fans to the dark side now to be hung drawn and quartered

Yes he is entitled to a night out, just not 3 days before the first major final of the year. If the entire first team squad were out on Wednesday and got pished, that would be ok as well, not for me . These players get paid a hell of a lot of money to be at their peak for the most important games of the season and despite what the green tinted apologists on here claim you cannot be at your peak fitness if you are pished 3 days previously, is it to much to ask that players abstain from alcohol for the entire season if so it says more about Scottish society than anything else . Do you think our greatest player in the modern era henke got pished 3 days before a big game .

Would defend any player of any team who was in same situation, provided they were not causing any harm. Clearly he has apologised to keep the peace which there was absolutely no need to do. Your making him sound like he has a chronic drink problem which is utter b*******! One night out does not effect fitness, I feel embarrassed for you that you think this.

To summarise situation, he was on a well deserved night out with no game the next day, overdone it like we all have done, caused absolutey no harm or trouble to others, therefore has done nothing wrong END OF

Don't feel embarrassed for me mate, we have agreed and disagreed on many things on here but if you think a professional athlete getting pished three days before a game is anything other than disadvantageous to their performance YOU are mistaken and know nothing about how the body works and reacts to alcohol. He may be the best player on the park today but that says more about his natural ability than it does about getting pissed 3 days before a big game .

DN30 no one is making him out to be a drunk. Stop making comments up to suit your argue ment. What I am saying is what he did was wrong. If you can't said that then there is no point in talking to you. You were the one defending RD and his demands that ALL of his players commit to being 24 hr athletes. Now you defend Brown who had clearly gone against that requirement. If it was Stokes or Gudetti or Boerringer how many people would support that situation? None. So why is it OK because it's Brown. Do you think RD feels that what Brown did was ok? If you believe that then you need to take off the green tinted glasses. You can't defend what happened. 4 days before a cup final. A chance to win the treble. I like Scott Brown as a player and still do but he was out of order. Any reasonable supporter would tell you the same. No point in debating this with you any longer you don't seem to know the difference between right and wrong.

He's paid enough money per week to stay sober before a cup final. I like brown he's a tough player and plays for the jersey (Celtic and Scotland), he should not have been caught out the way he has been. Yes the media is out to get him but he should know that.

I wonder how much he actually took to get drunk? I ask this as it's probably not something he has been doing on a regular basis so it probably would not take much to get him drunk (I think we all know about this) So it might not have been much alcohol and that makes a hell of a difference in recovery time. My opinion is that he had a night off and let his 'hair' down a bit. The pics can make things look a lot worse than they really are. He knows the score regarding his responsibilies as captain of the club. A bit of a non-event for me.

@johnnymac can you not read? Thought I made it crystal clear I would defend any player of any club, provided they were not causing any trouble or harm to anyone. I know I have always been supportive of Deila, but that doesn't mean Brown or any player can't enjoy a night out. A well earned night out. No point arguing with you. Already exposed you in past as talking utter nonsense regarding Deila, it's comical

'Disgrace' is a word so often bandied around in the tabloids, without any sense of its meaning. Broony is a Legend, and a credit to the team. He's a gentleman 'off the park', soft spoken and considerate. I'll buy the man a cocktail any day of the week.

Now Cheltenham is done and dusted giving the horses a metaphorical rest until April's Grand National so back to the football bets and can I remind the punters on here that ED046 over on the Football Rumours Bet page is well ahead on his bets something like £800 up for a £10 stake, so if you are looking for a not so risky wee gamble look up this site good punting
