I though Scottish Football was meant to be boring and predictable? QoS v Partick, Falkirk v Hibs and today's game have all been fantastic and are great advert for our game over the last fortnight!
Was hoping for a better performance from the bhoys today but at 2 - 1 down and even when they brought it back to 3 - 3 we could have crumbled, in the past we would have but today we got over the line and that is the main thing. Some performances were not so good but this habit of automatically crucifying players that haven't appeared to pull their weight is a bit silly, nothing should be taken away from Dundee Utd or the way they approached the game. We played as well as they allowed us to play but in the end WE GOT THE JOB DONE! Barcelona was an amazing game, an amazing result and an amazing night but we can't compare every performance to that night!

Let's get the league wrapped up on Sunday, have a party and get the team ready for a cup final that will be our toughest game of the season!

Never seen the game today was dragged round the shops in Glasgow by the mrs to get our wedding bands for our wedding in August a trip to Glasgow and not to watch the football what is my life coming too! Was watching the score come in on my phone early goal was thinking this could be a good day after all then next time I look we are 2-1 down and getting to my point it didn't surprise me our defending at times this season has been woeful I say at times as there was the odd exception both Barca games but we have conceded far to many goals this season and its not good enough! It may make for exciting games but when you can't see what's going on it makes a shopping trip to Glasgow that little bit harder! i'm off to watch the game now!

Can't believe some of the comments backing Lennon to be at CP for the long-term. A great defender is his day but can't pick a defence that doesn't leak goals - can praise players like Forrest when he never makes an attempt to help out, and can allow players like Hooper to continually pulls on a Celtic jersey when he looks and acts as if he can't be bothered and NL never replaces him - if the shame had been playing this year we would have been so far behind them NL would have been sacked!

The rot is not stopping. I got slammed, so should I say ridiculed two weeks ago for being over-critical. This is an "opinion site" and my views (perhaps uniquely) focus on realities. I WANT to see Celtic get better. I WANT to see my team tackler hard and pass quickly and have the confidence to beat opposition players, and jump higher and generally run faster but there is SOMETHING not right about our team. We won 4-3 today but again Izzy was caught at the back post (again and again and again) and LENNY keeps playing him; now there must be a way to deny players space at our back post. Obviously stopping crosses coming in first place would be a start! So, let us look at our team today. Forster not commanding and did little other than pick the ball out of the net a few times (granted the short free kick he showed a bit of grit). Lustig looked exhausted after 20 minutes. Our CB pairing was very poor and to be honest United had the beating of our back four all day long. I actually thought United played the better stuff when they had the ball and to think they had a 16 and 17 yr old on the park! Izzy may be god at running on to balls and crossing (and he is let's be honest) but his defending is absolutely woeful; totally awful. In the middle of the park Ledley gets pass marks, Chuck Mulgrew was a complete non-event, Wanyama was stodgy and Forrest seems to have lost a couple of yards or all of his confidence. Commons did score 2 and won a few free-kicks in and around the box to his credit but I still don't think he is mobile enough and only really comes to love when someone gives him the ball 25 yards out. If he losses possession you can forget it; KC is not the type to chase back (if it's good enough for Barca eh?); Hooper needs to move on now. Very poor movement all day and never looked dangerous.

Intriguingly I thought it was an over-cautious line up and Hooper did appear a little too stranded and isolated and because Commons isn't the most mobile he is not a good foil for a lone striker. If you look at how United broke on us (Killie did it in the league cup final too) we looked vulnerable from start to finish and the worrisome aspect of all of this is that we seem incapable of retaining possession or winning it back QUICKLY; that is the "art" is it not, keep ball, lose ball. win ball back. go at them again. lose ball. win it back. with the majority of the game in the opponent's half. Our current crop lack HUNGER and there is absolutely definitely AN ATTITUDE PROBLEM and if you cannot see it you are blind as a bat.

Controversial I know, but our team lacks leadership and we are not as cohesive as we perhaps thought. Cohesiveness is about defending as a team and attacking as a team. Rankin, Flood, McKay-Steven and Millar where breaking in packs and working the ball around Celtic for long periods; we seemed incapable when we had the ball. There were some highlights and Izzy deserves special mention for delayed runs and super crosses but he isn't so good at getting back either. Right enough, maybe when he is up the park someone should be "covering" until he gets back!

We will win the league and we will probably win the cup but we have lost our way a little. We should be doing better and we probably deserve better given the size of the squad, the wages and the alleged transfer value of some of our stars!

Wakey wakey Celtic. back to basics. if you are not up for it. ship out.

When we sit in (against Barca for example) the game isn't stretched and so we are playing with half a football park and tough as it inevitably must be against Barca, we had to show more mental strength than physical endurance. So my theory is this. Sitting in takes less effort and stamina than playing against a team like United who are young, spritely and spirited and who counter attack very very quickly (their 1st goal being a god case in point); our CELTIC ARE UNFIT. AND TOO SLOW.

first and foremost I wish to congratulate the bhoys on the score today. ok, the defence was a bit dodgy AGAIN, but at least we're in the final :)

secondly, EVERY time I try to get a bit of banter going on the zombie page my posts don't get on. does thir ed have a bit of a complex or something? it is banter after all so why can't he just get over himself? its not as if it was anything nasty.

here is the post I replied to.

Just a thought for the people who doubt McCoist, look at the first old firm game from last season (4-2) I watched it back today and I was impressed by the quality, give him a chance to sign decent players! WATP

all I said was that I too thought he deserved more time and in my opinion I would keep him there till he was 80 :D

another totally incompetent performence from the referee, how long must this be allowed to continue. 2 blatant penalties denied, flood should have been sent off, no foul that led to dundee utd second goal, 2 fouls in the build p to thier first and commons second goal a hand ball.

Well after 2 shocking cup semis I am disgusted to say that Scottish Football is dead. To only score 14 goals in 2 semis it just says to me what a poor state we really are in.

This isn't my take this is what I am waiting for from the deady bears.

Over the 2 games there was more entertainment in those 4 hours of football than what has been seen during the whole season at Ibroke.

So looking at this I would say Scottish Football is alive and well. Hopefully if the final can be half as good as the semis then we are in for a great end of season finale.

Don't know about you guys but I would love to see Scott McDonald back in a Celtic jersey.
He's 30 in august which for me is still a great age, hoopers not interested what so ever and I would rather punt him out outs door and get 5m (if he's even worth that) we would get Scotty boy back on the cheap tbh and he was always a big game player.

Lots of fans leaving after 28 minutes yesterday. Shocking, they can take no pleasure in winning the semi final (or for that matter the final) because they left when their team needed them most. As for decent players, I was impressed with Alex Harris, lyle Taylor however is 27 years old and until he came to Falkirk he doesn't appear to have been much of a prolific scorer.

We saw the articles linking Jabba to Whyte. Jabba asking Whyte to change the articles before printing the next day.

Did Whyte repay his good servant by insisting CG bring Jabba in? CG said Jabba came highly recommended.

To understand Jabba's position you just need to read KJ's articles. Jabba wants chairman Murray to act and sack CG. That's what Whyte wants.

Then who fills the void? Who's the next CEO? Does Ahmed and Stockbridge need to go also? Those three own the club the rest are employees.

Jackals scavenging the cadaver of the old club.
