Ed, not sure if my last post was sent, but I sent it too early (few shandies and clumsy fingers) and was meant to be along the lines of . I'm not delighted about £11m profit in the bank when we get embarrassed in europe and bring in loan signings. Bring in a couple of decent signings (£4m each) get bums on seats and get some passion and excitement back into our team.

It wasn't so long ago we had about 13'000 on a waiting list for season tickets, how many empty seats do we now have on a match day? But hey the money men are in the black so they will be happy (and probably in the bahamas) at least!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Next years results will not be so pretty….

operating expenses need to come down as the revenue (£64,000,000) certainly will

so they might be back slapping this weekend but next year will be a different story unless some of our players grow in to "material value-adding" assets …

…oh…but we are trying to build a team …decisions. decisions

incidentally, I thought that the operating profit was £4,000,000 and not £11,000,000 according to The Sun

Agree0 Disagree0

Gary79,

I know it looks good with a profit of £11m.

However, read a bit further down and look at the NET CASH AT BANK. This is nearly £4m. There is then another statement saying that because of how payments fall (i.e. transfer installments etc, ) WE ARE ACTUALLY IN A NET DEBT SITUATION.

I firmly believe that people forget the dividend that is paid to those who have preference shares. This is where a lot of our monies go every year. We are a PLC. Lots of glossy publications need printed every year for shareholders.

I'm not saying this is wrong, because we were quite happy to accept this set up when Fergus McCann saved us. It's just how it is.

Just don't think that because we sell a couple of players for a combined £20m, we are rolling in it.

I wouldn't want to compare ourselves to any other club!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! but we also have our guys who see themselves alright.

HH!

Paradise you are correct about the accounts not looking too pretty next year, but that was the reason Virgil was not sold. Lawell needs that income next year. He will go this year with a £8mill price so that will fill a hole in the accounts. £11mill is a good result but the real measure is cash in the bank which is around £4 mill which is not a lot of a safety net at a club of our size. It's just a fact of life, we need to sell players if we don't get CL income and we need to buy players to make sure we get CL income if you follow that? What we do need to do and this is what the fans are saying is stop buying lots of low price players whom we end up loaning out or releasing as those purchases add no value what so ever to our club. It's not easy I know but we somehow need to be better at buying the right players if this is going to be a core strategy for the club moving forward. I know about Wyama etc but we also know if you add the duds in there as well it knocks a big hole in the transfer profits.

Want to ask everyone's opinion of Mr Bankier and Mr Lawwell's comments in all today's papers.
Our accounts are looking good and most fans are happy about that, but it is the lecturing of us fans from the board about "living within our means" "having to be prudent" and "no major signings"
I do not know of any Celtic fan who wants the board to spend silly money on transfers in these tough financial times.
What we DO want is any transfer money available to be spent not just wisely but EARLY in the transfer window.
Even if it is more loan signings like this season they MUST be brought in BEFORE the CL qualifiers to give us the best possible chance of making group stages.
Also the boards practice of chasing a buck by sending Celtic all over the globe before the qualifiers must stop also, in the past 3 seasons we have gone into these important CL games with tired players because of all the travelling.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Last seasons signings, Balde, Pukki, Derk, Johannsen VVD were brought in with this years CL campaign in mind. Not my words but NL's. Shame most of them were dross.

Bankie Bhoy sums it up superbly…

we rolled the dice and came up with too many donkeys when we thought we were buying clydesdales

Right so we won today and that's great but a few things still annoying me. Are lustig, Mathews and Fisher all injured? Why did Ambrose start at right back? Risking broonie when kayal has been great this season? Still only playing one up top in a league match? In my opinion Celtic should never play one striker in the spfl whilst at home. I just don't like Delia at all. Well done the bhoys today.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

My sentiments exactly Darren.
Reasons for playing 1 up front. 1:Tactical. Really? To beat the SPFL teams.2: To make us stronger defensively? See 1st answer.3: To play 2 wingers? We not doing that.4:To play target man with serious pace to support. We have no pace up front. Its ok in Europe but to do it in SPFL is nothing but embarrassing.I will say it now after a win. This guy is no manager talks about development.Does anyone see any? Talks about bringing pace into the team, and brings in players with no pace.I will be amazed if he lasts the season, more interested in diets and domes than results.Just doesn't understand what it takes.

Agree0 Disagree0

This 1 striker non sense is almost criminal!

Agree0 Disagree0

Brown was a surprise to me too, but he ran the show in the first half and was inspirational and the team (and fans) responded to him and I think he was 'risked' for that reason.
I thought we were good in patches and closed the ball down well - but there were too many stray passes and wayward shots for all our possession and the team rely a wee bit too much on Commons; however I reckon Mulgrew had his best game for months - in the SLY studio

Ambrose gives us all the willies and he is guaranteed to make mistakes in every game, NL said Samaras was the type of player that got managers the sack - but Efe is another and RD will regret playing him every week.
The regular 'injury problems' of Mathews, Lustig, Forrest (and Kayal) have been a 'pain' for a while now.

I cannot understand the lone striker formation - especially at home in the SPL, when we have such a wide selection of strikers to choose from.
Hopefully he will utilise the full range of attacking options he has - or McGregor and Commons will be burnt out by December.

The positives from today were three points against probably our main rival and another solid display from Craig Gordon who is improving every game.
Good to see Brown back, hopefully unscathed and back to his best.

Have to agree . Controlled vast majority of the game few decent chances again could and should have made it more comfortable , but the biggest letdown and I know it's been said many times before but the lack off atmosphere is shocking , was told last night that an agreement with the green brigade has been made for there return next week and they've to police themselves , I can't wait for the singing to begin because today was rank , I'm one off the believers the players have their jobs and ours is to bring the best out off them by generating an environment to push them on

Agree0 Disagree0

First off we won! And at times played good football! We have lots games coming up Europe on Thursday he is just trying to get everyone fit Brown said after the game the manager had asked him to give home 60 minutes if he could and let's be honest it was good to see him back! Mathews pulled out of the Wales squad injured and he prob rested lustig for Thursday! Like I said we won today so let's back Ronny!

Agree0 Disagree0

The win was important, I thought we played well for the most of an hour .

Agree0 Disagree0

We won, though you wouldn't think so reading the some of the above texts. Firstly, I enjoyed the game. It was competitive. Isn't that what we have been missing and complaining about - the lack of competitiveness? Secondly, did Aberdeen not beat us twice last season when we had a settled squad and manager? Come on, give the players and manager a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree

but can we all agree that Kris Commons "diet" definitely isn't working

he needs to lose at least a stone and that is just in his face ….

He'll be holding up burger king next .

Hard fought victory thought big scepovic unlucky to get subbed he needs the service but it will come tonev looks ok more to come thought guidetti done well to, hopefully we can play guidetti and scepovic up front together . Ambrose played well today and so refreshing to see the captain back, rd made a goid sub bringing bitton on to control the midfield. I love commons but his lack of pace is alarming as good and creative he is on the counter we lack pace . let's build on this win and get some points and a wee run in the Europa . All I want now is wee james forrest back in the team.

What a difference Scott Brown makes in the centre of the pitch to having Mulgrew. Faster distribution to the front men and much more grit in defence and a willingness which grows onto others on the pitch. Happy with the first half could've created a few more chances but very good start. Some lapses in defence but that will hopefully fix it's self. Scepovic looks the hold up striker we've been screaming out for, had some very nice touches on the ball allowing our wingers and commons to push off of. Tonev has looked decent and think he's just getting used to the football up here but a few decent runs behind the fullback just needs a better end product

I am with Darranboy. Ronnie talks a great game. I said last week that he will never change this 1 up formation. The stats today were very similar and the game could have gone either way. Let's see what happens in Europe but I really believe he will struggle to see the season out?

Agree0 Disagree0

Johnnymac…he said he thought that Guidetti and Scepovic would/could make a great partnership …so sounds like two

maybe G was not fit to start and maybe sceptic will start on Thursday (as Guidetti is ineligible) so maybe it was "forced"

I think we will see two up top soon …

in saying that I noticed that CFC current set up is more or less identical to chelsea…and swansea and most EPL teams …Ie Costa up top, Fabregas in behind and two wide players (albeit the wide players can come in and go out) …

swansea is almost a direct replica of the CFC set up, albeit they have slightly better players

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Sep 2014 08:31:08
Paradise that is the way he is going to set up. Never the less we do need more than 1 striker with the amount if games but his current formation does not really allow the 2 strikers to play together as you would get in a 4/4/2. This is his way and that's that. Saw a point from Bankieboy saying that it was competitive and that's what we want. Very true Bankieboy. I think Ronnie has already made the league more competative just by his style of play? Hi maybe is appointment was a master stroke by Lawall to make the SPL competative since the demise of Rangers has cost us £10mill a year LOL.

Looking forward to the game today, hopefully see some of the new bhoys in the team and would love to see a cross being headed in for a goal.

No more set backs today please

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hopefully we can get out of this rut with a refreshed line-up and as you say a couple of new faces.
Aberdeen are a very tough opponent and will be aware of our shabby defence and lack of confidence up until now.
A repeat of the previous home league game against Dundee Utd will do fine.
Delighted to see the back of that International break, excited to see Celtic but a wee toty bit nervous.

I live in England so I don't have a vote in the referendum.
I was young when me and my family moved here, we came because my father found it hard to get work, as he was always asked what religion he was, whereas down here that never came into it.
my relations were always vehemently opposed to the snp, they used to call them bigots.
you will know, better than me, as you live in Scotland, has this attitude changed
it is a genuine question, as with living down here you don't realise the way things change.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gerry C no it's still here mate, only they ask you which team you support now, they are being more fly now, went for a job as a litter picker and that was the third question I was asked, that is one of my fears, if independance is gained, will we go back to the day's of " no catholic need apply".
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - My dad used to say the same thing but that's a throwback to the campaign from the 70s, Tam, can you really see the OO marching against something that is going to keep Catholics down? They've threatened to leave Scotland and even threatened to take up arms if there is a YES vote. Better Together asked the OO to cancel today's march due to fears that it could be seen as anti-Catholic.
Most people have realised that this is nothing to do with religion, it's actually a chance to rid our country of the racial and religious intolerance that has held us back for centuries and finally move into the 21st century with the rest of the civilised world.
My bro-in-law was a staunch NO voter, sadly my mother-in-law has Alzheimer's disease and her dementia is getting really bad, I asked him who was going to pay for her treatment once the Tories do away with free-prescriptions and ultimately privatise the NHS? He had no idea about the NHS protests going on in England against the ongoing privatisation of our NHS that the media are banned from showing in Scotland, he didn't know that the Government have already sold millions of people's medical records to ATOS (remember the cancer patients etc who were passed fit for work? That ATOS), so unless he was willing to be working to cover any future medical bills he better do some reading before voting. He's started to swing towards YES now, what was his reason for voting no? He doesn't like Alex Salmond, I told him he falls into the category of 'should be banned from voting'.
I was expecting the younger people would be the hardest to convince, the people who hadn't lived through Thatcher's Britain or even worse Thatcher's Scotland, if we vote NO on Thursday it'll be worse than Thatcher's time, Westminster will hammer us for our cheek, this DEVO-MAX is a lie from BT,they turned down the chance to have it as an option on the ballot paper so why are they so keen to push it now with people making promises when they aren't in the position to do so.
Right I'm off out for dinner while you all fight it out yourselves :)

ED I lived thu the thatcher year's and still despise her as much now as I did then, I don't want a tory anything in my life but sometimes it's better the devil you know If you truly belief this wee country of our's will be free of bigotry and I mean from both side's if we vote yes, then that is your opinion, mine is opposite from yourself I truly believe it will get worse and my fear is we end up like Northern Ireland. I am no bigot by the way my wife is protestant and my son went to an non denominational school, as I say Better the devil you know.PS I am also worried about my pension, how much our pound would be worth, and if we will be made to take the euro as our currency if we are allowed as a country to go into the EU.
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Tamboy.

First off. Scotland has laws against bigotry and sectarianist views are not tolerated by decent people. Most Scots are decent in this regard. Why would this country be subject to the same trials of NI. We are a different country with a different history in a different period of time. As for the pound. Mate its all a scam. The markets are rigged. Do some research on what a central bank does and who owns banks. I don't see it being any better or worse with or without independence. Your pension is guaranteed in the same way as the rest of the UK. But hopefully inflation will be less after independence. that's the real concern. Inflation and of course deflation. But as I say the big banks control everything. They manufacture and set up the crisis. Whether we are a sovereign country or not will not effect their strategy. In fact we have more chance of deflecting it as my fervent belief is just as Ed says there will be a serious day of reckoning if this vote is no. Cameron will make Thatchers policies look like childs play. Finally anyone who chooses a devil gets a devil. In the end you won't know him but he will know you. God bless Tambhoy I hope you don't regret your decision whatever it is. FREEDOM and LIBERTY. Sopotcelt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sopotcelt,

Better Together have endorsed everyone and anyone who takes up their fight IE "say No" but then have repeatedly distanced themselves from the OO which (I think) credit to them. Equally, the OO have a right to do what they like and come together and express their views. Scotland's future will not involve a "throwback". No chance. Too many people have moved on but there will always be knuckle-draggers on all sides; some people will ALWAYS need to hate something or someone.

Next, if there is no "offer for DEVO MAX" after the referendum there WILL BE another referendum and the rUK know that the next time it will be a LANDSLIDE for YES.

I don't particularly like the tactics of the "no campaign" but equally both sides can rip in to the other in terms of the "pictures" they are painting.

The "union" has seen many many many people get on in Scotland (IE improve their life prospects and experience). Many many have been left behind. There are many many people across every region of the Uk not happy with their domestic situation IE England (north and south) is not immune to poverty or hopelessness.

For 300 years we have not had to deal with our own affairs or compete with neighbours and countries further afield for jobs. There are many switched on, competitive countries "out in the big wide world" always ready to take a bigger piece of the pie; Scotland may fair well in the short term or it may not. It may do a little better over a medium term. It may not.

I do not think that a NO vote will result in Scotland being bullied or compromised. We might only account for 10% of the UK populous, but it is still 6,000,000 and 6,000,000 will make one hell of a noise if the promises on DEVO MAX do not crystallise.

On the banks talking about reregistering their HQs and warning of possible variances in charges and mortgage availability etc, where is their "incentive" to LIE about this? Think about that for a minute. Even in a NO scenario, BofS and RBS are running the risk of losing half the population. If it is a YES vote, they will again lose half the population with their supposed "antics"….so I ask again, what was in it for them to come out and say anything positive or negative…think about it again…

they think it is a bad idea and unfortunately Banks have a role (and thus, an opinion) and their "stance" should be looked at and scrutinised….

Jim Selers talks about a day of celebration on "independence day" on the same day that Wetherspoons talk about cheaper alcohol….you couldn't make it up

YES is absolutely a bigger risk than no, but don't paint the picture that NO is a one way ticket to ruin for Scotland…that is scare mongering.

On the NHS, what happens down south has zero relevance other than possibility of less money coming up North through the Barnet formula, but SNP could still ring fence OUR Scottish NHS, cut back elsewhere and use their DEVO MAX powers to make up the difference financially speaking …

rUK needs to behave …"period". otherwise the next time it will be a 90:10 yes to no and it will take a month!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I never thought you would be so gullible. Everything you've said is based on 'what if' scenarios. Where have you heard that if Devo-max wasn't delivered there would be another referendum? And your take on the NHS is miles off, look up Robert Winston's on plans to charge £10 for seeing your GP, he was up campaigning this week with Ed Milliband, he says it's too little and should be £200. Do you honestly think they are only going to do that in England? I know nurses in Hairmyres Hospital Orthopaedic Department that disagree with you, I know McMillan Nurses that disagree with you and I know an Oncologist from the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre and a nurse from the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow who would vehemently disagree with you. Do you think the care you or your family receives should depend on how much money you or they have? The people I mentioned don't but they know that will be the case in 5-10 years max.
Since when should big business corporations and banks have any say in democracy? Banks are meant to work for the people, that's what seems to have been forgotten in the UK, Norway jailed their bankers, we gave our Lordships - joining an illustrious line of Lords including scum like Jimmy Savile, Cyril Smith and Alistair McAlpine - who have all enjoyed protection from the highest level of British society for many years and over many governments reigns. This is our chance to cut away the cancer that has been eating away at our chances of having a normal society where the the less fortunate, the needy and the weak, vulnerable and desperate are looked on as no more that a burden who can be easily manipulated to do as their 'masters' tell them.
The only banks that will be leaving Scotland are foodbanks - foodbanks in Scotland in 2014!!! Yet multi-millionaire Work and Pensions secretary Iain Duncan Smith says we can live on £7.57 a day, who's kidding who here?
I can't get my head round how any Scot can take the side of Tories, it's like condoning everything Thatcher done to us, wait until Boris Johnson takes over from his cousin as Prime Minister and is standing with Nigel Farage and his UKIP, the OO with their 'NO POPERY' banners (as seeen in Edinburgh only today 2014!!!) and the EDL/SDL/BNP with their friendly outlook on society.
Why is it not OK for us to leave the Union but it's ok for the Tories/UKIP to take us out of Europe?
Why is it if we're Better Together we aren't better together just now? Nobody from BT has said what will be better, only whatwill be worse, Westminster should be grovelling to us but their usual arrogance and superiority complex has shone through, just as it always has, do what you're told, keep your mouth shut and don't rock the boat.
What makes Scotland any different to ANY other country who has gained independence? Fear of change, that's all it is. I'll be off to Dubai to live in the future but I'll be leaving behind family, neices, nephews and friends who will need to live with the consequences of what happens on Thursday, it will be a stain on the soul of anyone who in the future needs to look their grandchildren in the eye and tell them they voted NO.}

14 Sep 2014 07:37:22
Mate I did not mention that particular bastion of devisive Britishness. I won't say more about that scourge on decency and affront to liberty.
I think you are a very naive person. don't take that comment personally. I was the most naive and gullable person on the planet until a few years ago. Then I started researching. The BG don't love you. Centralised power is very bad for anyone who believes in liberty and the rights of the individual. There are about 12 regions in europe fighting for independence. Three in Spain! Why is that is the question that should be asked? Scotland is the only country that has been given a vote! We should use it to free ourselves from effective enslavement. Small countries do rather well economically. They tend to be closer to their people and have a more federal decision making process. That breeds not consensus but dissensus. Ie the right to use the resource according to need and the will of the people. Consensus relies on might is right. Democractic systems are flawed beyond belief and giving them more power centrally. ( like the British state) is asking for trouble. bTw look up oligarchy. Britain is officially and oligarchy not a democracy. So if you want democracy working properly then de-centralise. Ie Independence. Britain is also an Imperial state. It runs the usury banking system of the world. Money is debt and we as Britons fought the Napoleonic wars to assert our banking system onto the world. Napoleon believed in the artisan creating wealth and wanted nothing to do with usury and compound interest. I am all over the place I realise but people have to wake up to what the British state is really all about. Where real power is seated in thiis supposed united Kingdom and the world for that matter. don't get bogged down by the nitty gritty arguments. Its a clear choice. Give freedom liberty decency and fairness a chance. Or stay with the imperialists and throw your hat in with the warmongers imperialists and global bankers.
Ps the term scare mongering or fear mongering was coined by the British propogandists in the 30's. It is used primarily by advertising agencies and by politicians in government. To use the term describing what the people fear is just another use of a weaponised word which is used against the will of the people. Also like Ed. I had enough a long time ago. If the vote is no. I won't be back as no political power = no country. Scotland will remain an illusion and stay as it is now a region of the British state providing people and resources to a corrupt bankrupt ( self imposed to keep is in line) and morally repulsive empire. My goodness what choice does anyone have but to vote YES.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sopotcelt

is TORY core policy not all about less government, decentralised power, survival of the fittest, only help those who cannot physically help themselves but damn those who otherwise can…

I have never voted TORY and I cannot say I never will because I am not entrenched; but for the foreseeable I would note vote TORY….

Labour are in a real state, and I would think SNP are more right of centre than Labour which begs questions over the "social justice" agenda…

you guys keep talking about naivety which is a real shame. I know all about my business and I know all about what makes my business tick. I also know that I have not been given answers as to the impact on my business (and thus those that I employ) economically speaking…

the economic argument is untested and unproven and all based on hearsay, but I accept that equally "better together" is no exact science either; to use an analogy…I have worked within the better together consequential(s) and survive and will come out the other end ….with a YES I am not so sure (and you cannot call that naivety!)

in terms of running our own affairs and bringing power closer to the people; I get that….but when I listen to tommy sheridan talking about

free health
free education
jobs for all
an oil wealth fund
social justice
narrowing of the wealth equality gap
incentives for young parents

etc etc etc etc …

is it not sensible to ask the question …"how exactly"….

is there a "small country" on the planet that can tick any of those boxes…maybe you and ED can tell me one since you are so well researched

to reiterate, I am undecided but "realistic", socially responsible but partially selfish about my immediate self and family (and employees) .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Shouldn't the sensible question be 'why haven't we been striving for all of those things for 60 years already?'..... What promises have BT offered to make Scotland a better place? None! They are to busy trying to scare us into Tory conformity with made up fairytale horror stories, anything they can offer is dwarved by the powers we can take ourselves instead of feeling we should be grateful for the scraps that Westminster ALLOW us to have.
Don't we already have free health care and free education and an oil wealth fund that is taken from us instead of staying where it belongs, in Scotland.
Sheridan is offering a chance to make Scotland a better place, can you say the NO campaign is doing the same? Name one thing BT have offered that will make Scotland better? They wheel out Devo-max a week before voting yet they initially blocked it being on the ballot paper, Devo-max will NOT happen if there's a No vote, English Tory MPs won't allow it, when William Hague was talking in Parliament about it during the week, he was asked by Tory MP and former Welsh Secretary John Redwood 'who will speak for England in these negotiations for more powers.'
Another Tory backbencher Christopher Chope demanded to know: 'When did the government change its mind on devomax and when are MPs going to have a chance to express a view?' It's ok promising things people want to hear, English Tories will never allow Devo-max, they have said it many many times - even Cameron!
Would you agree that Forbes magazine is a world renowned & well respected magazine in the business and financial sector?

The Tories know who the real right are and its not them! They pander to the right to try and appease them. I really don't have time or the inclination to do your research for you but hardly anyone knows the real situation regarding the political spectrum and definitions but a good place to start. So from right to left. Anarchy then Republic ( rule of law) Democracy, Oligarchy, Fascism/Communism. People get confused with this as they are taught from a very young age fascism is on the right. Its not. Its a form of collectivism same as communism. Its only a little technically different from Communism. The result is the same. Laws selectively applied, state murder corruption, the masses under heel. Do some research mate. I was not for a second saying you were a naive person in regards your business dealings etc. Just in your knowledge of how the power system works. Happy reading

Agree0 Disagree0

ED

of course we would all want those things (and strive towards them) IE the general populous, but what responsibility do we as society need to take for

greed
consumerism
laziness
credit binges

unless you think the invisible hand besieged us with debt and turned us in to economic slaves ….

I went to state school, grew up opposite Ravenscraig…single parent etc…went to university (it was free) and I trained down south for 2 years before coming "home" to build a business which is in its 15th year …BT didn't get in my way and I started from scratch …

what would you say to people like me to get that tick in a YES box….

The role of BT or the Government is not to make a special case of Scotland at the expense of rUK; that would be folly…

you obviously believe that across the UK it is not a level playing field and/or because the high rollers in the south east "call the shots" then the bias and economic activity and opportunities are magnetised / drawn south…I can see that

you speak of fairytale horror stories, and yet omit to mention the possibility of deficit, less jobs, higher borrowing costs in the money markets for the government …which means having to peddle ever harder to pay back the interest and achieve returns on investment to build up our economy and reserves…the short term could be horrific…is that too not a horror story?

in a UK context, we share and pull assets and we cannot change the last 300 years…we can only go forward …the oil was the UKs and not scotlands…

sheridan offering us a chance for a better scotland …sheridan? are you serious?

devo-max on the back of a NO vote will be delivered and if it is not there will be another referendum, for you to say otherwise I think is totally and utterly naive; Scotland is now engaged and it knows the score and has leverage….you don't see that which is your prerogative

{Ed007's Note - You forgot to mention the amount of immigrants coming into the country.}

Sopotcelt…"do some research mate" ….goodness me ….

you have no clue what level of research I have done or what level of exposure I have to the system…you know next to nothing about my logic, ethos, philosophy, ideology and the like

notice how I haven't once presupposed that either of us is missing something or lacking in research or conviction…not once

but there is a difference between people like you and people like me …I know what I am not ….

isn't it strange that an undecided is cast off as lacking in research and a no is written off as low life vermin….so much for democracy

hopefully you won't be running our republic sopotcelt …or at least if you do, you won't be getting my vote based on the level of intolerance you yourself are showing

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Nobody called NO voters low life vermin, I called Tories, wannabe Tories, UKIP, EDL/SDL/BNP, UKIP and the OO, the people who have attached themselves to the BT campaign, lowlife vermin and scum, would you disagree with that?}

I thought to "make up the numbers" and to drive economic activity and production we were opening our doors to 500,000 new immigrants …is that not an SNP policy? Or have I misunderstood ….

{Ed007's Note - So already half a million English people who want to move here after independence. ;)

For anyone whos interested. We in the present UK are operating in an Oligarchy. Arguing or discussing the macro economics is futile. Think regulation regulation regulation. Red tape red tape red tape. Small businesses like everyone else will be brought down as the state attacks and monopolises everything. Its just the King and his advisors making all the decisions just like the old days. The difference is we have flushing toilets, clean water and entertainment these days. But that Will all be going soon enough. Give it 20-25 years. My God we have foodbanks in Scotland. Foodbanks! Its almost inconcievable that this is accepted. Its got nothing to do with TS but everything to do with the present government masquerading as RW. Now they do help big business but do you think corporations are RW. They are collectivists and monopolists. There is nothing about them that's democratic. They bribe Govt to make the laws for heavens sake. The people are the enemy and servants of the government. Anything and I mean anything that takes some of that kind of power from them is good and self determination in the form of independence is the first step.

Paradisewon.
All I say is there for one reason only. To speak the truth and find the truth. Its not about profit and loss for me or even political systems or religion or anything else you may imagine. God forbid power. Its about halting the march of evil and ignorance and the spiteful agenda being carried out against all humanity. Do you know my sources brother. Do you have any idea of me and what I really know. If you did perhaps you would be listening more and talking less. I will say it again research the esoteric. You won't find what I know on websites or business forums.
I pray you will get some real insight. Good luck and no offence taken or intended.

For all the sensitive souls out there and I know you exist let me clarify. Anything means anything without physical violence.
I have a strict ethical policy which excludes the use of violence and physical force to achieve my goals. Please notice the difference in my policy and that of the UK Govt in this regard.

Sopotcelt

so what YOU KNOW is beyond the majority's reach which means the majority are basically "blind" and you (and a few others) can "see"….

so I will shut up since you KNOW things that I will (a) never know (b) can never know due to an "access" problem and ( c) probably couldn't even comprehend because of my nativity…

I must say however, that in the event of a YES vote, having people like you that KNOW things that the rest of us will never know makes me feel a little bit better.

Please promise that you will take this knowledge of yours and put it to a positive use and turn Scotland in to the kind of place that we all want it to be….or should I say the majority want it to be excluding the filthy super rich

fair
more equal
just
transparent
healthy
well fed
warm/secure
debt free
multi lingual
culturally diverse
artistic/creative
forgiving
anti war
pro renewables
anti big oil
anti big bank
anti supermarket
anti business (or businesses that dare to make a profit)
anti-organised religion (? not sure about your point of view on that)

If I thought that sort of Scotland was possible and that I could still see the world and learn and expand and grow and be a successful human being then I'll gladly tick YES

And I will now shut up

:)

{Ed007's Note - Here's some light reading before the Mrs tucks you in :) What was that you were saying about DEVO-MAX? As expected the Tories are starting to confirm they will block Scotland getting any new powers, you did know that it would all have to go to a vote in Westminster didn't you?}

ED

what if what if what if what if

so let me turn the argument back against you…

they want us in the UNION for a reason

they want to offer us "sweeties and bribes" to make sure we vote NO, so we can have "their" status quo

so we vote NO, and they turn the tables and give us nowt……

what if what if what if what if….

you say that this is a ploy

i say that it is real

i say that if they don't deliver there will be another referendum and it will be a ONE WAY TICKET TO INDEPENDENCE

you say it isn't coming and that we won't get another crack at it ….

can we agree to disagree with that?

I am happy with my "logic" and it may or mary not be as well researched and I may or may not be privy to what the likes of Soporcelt is privy too 9and wouldn't want to be as I am anti-masonic!), so we move on

hail hail

{Ed007's Note - You've lost me now, you're making stuff up as you go along with nothing to back it up except your opinion, show me where there is any legal obligation for there to be a vote in Westminster regarding DEVO-MAX, I've just provided a link with quotes from a Tory MP that their back-benchers won't allow it.
What if he's telling the truth?}

Seriously. Some things you just have to find out for yourself. I cannot describe how someone understands a mathematical equation and someone else does not. Its not all about cause and effect. The seen and the unseen, what is more important? What makes something discovered and something else undiscovered. Its about insight and wisdom. Now I do not have the secret to the holy grail but for me at least I know a lot about the origins of our existence I know the power games that are being played and this is key I know where I came from and where I am going to. Now that cannot be shared in a manual or a standard flow chart so don't expect me to. It would also take about a week to go over some of the basic principles. Everyone must go through their own trials and journey of discovery. The list can be dealt with, just as any human problem can be dealt with. But Einstein said it better than me. You can't fix a problem with the same thinking we used when we created the problem. Just delete thinking and insert people. He also said out of all his learning when informed about compound interest he found this the most interesting. The first step in addressing the list is knowing how the world works. The history of politics and religion and revolution. Delve into ancient civilisations and also look to the skies at night. As for religion. Two passages from the bible amaze me. Check the Hebrew Genesis Chp 1 Elohim is it plural or singular? The King James version says singular. Now what do you think the original Hebrew says. Now to the new testament. I am the truth and the light, no one comes to the father except through me. Is it an allegory? Politically I follow the classic Republican mould. More George Washington than Michael Collins but "give us our future. we've had enough of your past. give us back our country to live in-to grow in. to love":) of and Matthew 22 37 and 39 would solve everything. Just a few thoughts nothing that the average man or woman can't discover for themselves.

PMSL Very good paradise. Knowing the story of Abraxas doesn't make you a mason and the reference to brother was a little mischievous. For me its more the union brother or christian brother or just the humanity brother if that reference gave you the heebijeebies. I am still smiling but in fact everyone should be aware the ancient rights of passage are still very relevant today. Not so much in who knows what they are but the historical significance and social significance of why there were rights of passage and what made them important. In ancient times much of this was about clearing the way for ethical good men to have public office. It was not all about control and dark mystery. To be fair though now I think about it, a lot of it was:)
