Deila's old club is at this point at 9th place and are really struggling. they even play boring football, just say's a lot about how good Deila really is!

Mate i'm just glad everyone is backing Deila. Problem we have now is how long before someone tries to get him

Naw DN 30 . I don't think you have any need to worry . Delia isn't the type of man who has his agent on high alert looking for a club in England and elsewhere .
The English club owners are so stuck up their own arses that they wouldn't see anyone in Scotland doing a good job unless his agent was pushing them all the time .
I think we will have Deila for another 5/6 years and we will have great success .

Personally I don't think we need worry about anyone rushing in for Ronny I would say it's been a decent campaign but certainly no better than that. It's fair to say there has been a transition in style to our preparation and tactics so next season I would hope for better results in Europe and a more consistent 90 minute performance domestically than we've seen this season.(even Ronny admits on a regular basis that tempo isn't good at times). Hopefully Ronny gets good backing in the summer to kick on further and if rangers return it will add an extra buzz at cp for home matches which can only help the team and help attract signings.

Deila isn't the type to jump ship. He could have taken the Rosenborg job, and he also had some other clubs fighting for his signature, but he stayed at Godset another three tears after that. So don't worry.

BTW, heard some rumours that he wants El Ghanassy from Stabæk. Think he could be a nice player for you. though he is a winger type player, he would be awsome I think. he was touted as one of the best belgian talents at the same time as Hazard, but never got there. But he still has a lot of talent!

Your right about that KevBhoy, but Johansen was the same when he came to Strømsgodset. Like Deila says in the interview with Sutton, he can show the players how to become good players, but without the right mindset you'll get no where.
The fact is that El Ghanassy has really grown (He thought he was a superstar being Hazards best friend, but got a real wakeupcall) and is the player who works hardest in Stabæk atm. Calling him off would be a big mistake. Bob Bradley (Former USA coach) now Stabæk coach has said he is the he is the player with the best work rate he has seen in years.
some rumours is Deila is also looking at Christopher Ajer. A 17 year old CDM (playmaker type) also been scouted by LFC and Spurs the last matches.

A lot being made through here in local papers about scouts tracking Souttar at Utd.
We've been quoted as having an interest but not sure myself just how good the kid is.
Getting a lot of plaudits after being moved into midfield n decent ball player at c/h albeit prone to lapses in concentration. That said only 18.
His brother also coming through and at 6'6"" at 16 meant to be an even bigger prospect

Just a thought on the players who could be leaving this summer
Zuluska
Ambrose
Matthews/Lustig
Denayer
Van Dijk
Mulgrew
Oconnell (loan)
Waters (loan)
Rogic
Wakaso
Macgregor
Mcgeoch
Tonev
Boerrigter
Irvine
Herron
Pukki
Gudetti
Stokes
Balde
Scepovic
Fridjonnsen
22 players could leave and free wages and fees to buy 5 or 6 really good players

{Ed007's Note - I'm expecting a major clear out as well. RD has already said he wants a squad of 20-22 and the rest to be youngsters.}

13 May 2015 20:35:53
Its one thing saying we want to move players on, however the reality is somewhat different.

So many variants to be considered. Wages / length of contract/ age/.
I know some guys are on loan and we can loan a few out, but the reality of it is max 8-9 players.

Who will we sell or want to VVD Balde Pukki Rogic McGeoch.

13 May 2015 21:22:50
Jonace I agree with each player on list apart from Van Dijk. I just think at moment there has been too much uncertainty stirred up by media. I just don't know what to think.

Lustig/matthews I can see one of them going and someone brought in that isn't as injury prone. Who goes is the real mystery

Agree0 Disagree0

13 May 2015 23:05:45
It's very easy posting about moving players on . The problem is that most of the players we want rid of wouldn't be wanted by other clubs either . The players that are under contract won't leave unless the club that they are going to pays at least the same money as we are . Not only will most of the players that are on the transfer list not command a transfer fee, Celtic will have to pay some of their wages.

14 May 2015 00:07:35
Good point you raise chris02. If permanent transfers can't be achieved for some fringe players, I would be happy to see them loaned out with a % of wages paid

I would agree with most on the list and hope the manager has similar thoughts. For far too long we have held onto players who were injury prone's, nearly-men or never-will-be's and it just used up cash that would be better spent on quality.
Obviously the calibre of player has declined in line with financial restraints and poor standard of the league, but we have signed a few gems in recent years and develop a few of our own with the resources and facilities at our disposal.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2015 19:08:40
JungleJim How do you think we can get rid of the injury prone players . Nobody else will sign them as they are unlikely to pass a medical. Should we terminate their contract and pay them off? . Or do we keep them on the books and let the insurance pay them when they are out inhjured .?

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2015 21:23:14
I can't believe this but I agree with Chris02. How many clubs are looking for Celtic rejects? We could maybe give some of them away for no fee but Pedro would have a heart attack.

Kevbhoy Mrs T would not let that happen, she knows to a penny what is in my bookies account, but I am too canny (ok tight!) to blow it all, but since lucky streak began at Cheltenham I have managed to pay a couple of bills, given the girls a bung, treated Mrs T and STILL enough left for my wee gambles like tonight in Real/Juventus game my bets (plural because I can lol) are Real Madrid (win) Ronaldo/Tevez to score, BTTS, a penalty (either team) and my extra bet at bigger odds a MISSED penalty, makes it more interesting watching game when Celtic not involved, and amazingly Mrs T suddenly shows an interest in game when bets look like coming up ha ha PS Kevbhoy even if all bets lose tonight I am still in black so no need to worry about me

Agree0 Disagree5

13 May 2015 22:37:56
Ach I must be slipping! only THREE of my bets came up Ronaldo first scorer 3/1, Real Score a penalty 6/1 and BTTS at 4/6 Sorry my "disagreers" still well in profit but keep clicking away lol

I was watching the Eredivisie round up today and saw the LB Diijks from Willem II. He looked decent from what they showed. He clashed heads with an opponent at a corner and the doctor had to be called on. The doctor is set to retire after decades with the club so when he came on he had a tiny look, gave the big man a tissue and then left him to clean himself up and did a lap of honour haha.

Ed on the money again with Scepovic by the looks of what his agent is saying. Saw a decent interview between RD and his mate Sutton a wee while back and RD said that 95% of the bhoys are applying themselves to his methods. I get the feeling SS could be in that other 5% and we'll be looking to cut our losses.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

13 May 2015 15:12:10
On subject of Scepovic, has he played enough games to qualify for league winners medal?

Agree0 Disagree0

13 May 2015 15:42:10
Can't find a concrete answer DN but I've thought it was 10 (even from the bench?).

Like yourself earlier in the season I was a bit disappointed SS wasn't getting more game time. Like the look of his movement and he did have a good record in Spain. But essentially if he isn't willing/able to do what RD wants him to do then we have to stand by the manager. Perhaps the club need to rethink their scouting system a wee bit and give the manager more of a say. He'll be able to tell from watching players if they do what he needs them to do.

Not football related but if anyone has a ford, audi, volkswagen or bmw be extra vigilant. Massive spate of thefts happening just now due to design fault with OBD port. These cars are being driven off by thieves in less than 1 minute without key!
