Hi Ed can I ask you do you think there is much it the Matthews / Kim bo Kyuong? straight swap?we were in for him before he went to Cardiff

With Fisher back from injury we got a bit of cover there?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I never pay much attention to swap deals, Jamie, they get wheeled out every window and catch the attention of folk who play Football Manager, they very rarely happen but I do expect to see a RB move on either this month or in the summer.}

Thanks Ed

I know it's fairly early in the window, but it's so frustrating hearing the same stuff every window. In the summer we were told rd wanted to look at the squad then would do his business at Christmas. During the Europa group stage he said it was important to qualify as it would alter his targets if there was no euro football after Xmas . Does anyone really believe we will be bringing in anyone of champions league / euro quality.? A lot of people seem to be keen on scots at the min but how many have done well in euro games (qualifiers as no other teams make it into Europe). We are told there is scopefor 4-5 million players if they are cost effective but I can't see anyone remotely near that figure coming in. We were told we were going to get players in this window so we are not scrambling around in the summer before the qualifiers start. Also can we please get someone in to fill the "no 7 " shirt who can actually excite the fans again and maybe more will start getting to the games. We at least deserve that, sorry for the rant! Always be faithful, but think we deserve more

Number 7 is only a number. There have been many great players that have wore but many duds as well. I would rather see good players in wearing any number

The bbc have been giving us a raw deal for more than 5 years.i can't even listen to crap they spout on there anymore! They would be aswell changing the name to bbc Rangers! It will make it all the more sweeter when we pump sevco on theyr biased bitter channel!! :D

RD seems to be singing off the same hymn sheet as NL it's almost like they were promised a particular budget then PL cuts it down to look good to the board by saving money and still competing then NL/RD spin us the lines to cover it up.

So we are in for GMS on a pre-contract.
has the board moved to cat & mouse games. (sell him now or loose him for nothing in 6 months)

Why not just pay the money, get him in and fitted into the team come the CL qualifiers. we will recoup be selling or moving on players.?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Sorry mate but he is average at best and defo not a 1st pick so don't know how he would fit into the team if not playing. He not any better than forrest and if we go into the CL campaign with the likes of him as new signings then we have no chance of qualifying.

Agree0 Disagree2

Cprs I agree with what you said. I too am off the opinion- pay the money now.

I personally think there is a reluctance to sanction transfer fees to other scottish teams.

Agree2 Disagree0

This season has got to be one of the most thought provoking for a while.
It was a horrendous start with a new manager trying to impose new ideas and systems, amid early CL qualifiers and we stumbled out the competition TWICE and struggled for any sort of consistency - with erratic displays.
We brought in more loan signings than I have ever seen in one window as we tried to find consistency.

We eventually hit a run of results and climb the table and progress in the cups and despite being hindered by two International breaks we manage to top the table before Christmas - and stay in Europe after it.

Things are looking up?
Mebbies aye mebbies naw.

We immediately drop points that lose us momentum and the advantage (for now); with two postponed games, including one of our own making as we have a wee buck-she holiday and get cuffed in two friendlies into the bargain,

Kev T will go blind over this signing.Very ordinary but the right geographics

All this he's no better than forest stuff , I'm afraid to tell you mate , yes he is better than forest . Forest couldn't cross the road , plenty off pace granted but he's not any where near the class some folk think he is ,

Agree0 Disagree0

TTTS??

Would rather sign Anya but with Celtic as always GMS would be the cheaper option

Agree1 Disagree0

Also don't ever recall saying I wanted him at Celtic?

But then I suppose he has done more than the likes of Forest

No chance of signing Anya! All this we're lookin at everybody in the scotland squad is nosense! It's the same old crap every window! We'll get to the last min of the window and there will be sum loan signing to keep us quiet! Then the usual the January window is so hard to get players in rubbish! I wouldn't hold my breath for any signings at all! Well none of real quality anyway!

Agree0 Disagree0

I never said forrest was any good mate, I just don't think GMS is an improvement.

Agree0 Disagree0

Every time I've seen GMS this season he's been impressive. Which is more impressive than Forrest, Commons, Tonev, Boerrigter, Wakaso, Berget have been. It might be where we're at, but GMS would improve the team.

Sorry rayman , wasn't having a go at you mate , just annoys me when Forrest gets mentioned , I really think this boy can't go any further in football , he simply cannot cross a ball and for a ( WINGER) that s simply unacceptable , gems at least has that in his locker and is a bit more aggressive in his play , hopefully he could be the type of player who improves with better players around him

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously gms isn't very good a think he would be a great addition to the squad we are crying out for natural width in team playing stokes out wide everytime he's still about same age ass forest with probally more potential and for the price we could get him for get rid of wakaso tonev and sicknote borigter about time we started looking at young Scottish talent instead of these europeans or African duds hail hail

Agree1 Disagree0

Thefalkirkbhoy mate I've never thought Forrest was ever a winger. He has just winged it and got away with it for so long. Its a couple of reasons, the crossing and the passing. It would be interesting to know if he has been played out of position and is a CF

Agree0 Disagree0

That's a fair shout dn bud, it really annoys life out of me because the more I think about it the last person I can really recall having the sweetest left foot for getting up the sides and putting crosses in was tosh mckinlay,

Anyone know much about nabil bahoui? Saw the name mentioned and surely someone we should be looking at. Plays for aik and looks a good player going by YouTube

Seen quite a few prem teams were linked with him in the summer.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not to keen on him. I'd rather we signed his teammate Mohammed Bangure. Looks like a top player.

We currently have VVD, denayor, ambrose, mulgrew, lustig who can play centre half.

Think most would agree that in a few years our two centre backs will be none of these?

Was just wondering what happened to the young lad Fraser. I notice oconnell is always on the bench. Has something happened to Fraser or has oconnell just developed better? Anyone know

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Marcus Fraser is out on loan to Cowdenbeath.}

Cheers ed, should have probably just looked that up, didn't think he would be on loan. Anyone know if he is doing well?

Agree0 Disagree0

Boy is a talent that is for sure reads the game very well, but not best placed with and could do with filling out a bit for a CH but still young, can't believe we never brought Jackson Irvine back in and playing went on loan last season to Kilmarnock and was deemed there best player sent him back out again this season to Ross County

Season before we sent him to Killie was deemed to be the "best prospect" emerging from the development squad boy captained Aussie's u-21's his prefer position is CDM but can play CH which just makes you think even more what he is doing out @ Ross County!
