Johansen in Ledley out? Not seen anything of the Bhoy, here's hoping he's a good yin. Big of class in the middle of the park. Ian L

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If that's the case, and I think your right, Ledley must not play again ahead of ANY PLAYER. This guy is first team ready, so get him in

RIP Bobby Collins, My Ma And the loved Bobby .Hail Hail Vinciebhoy .

Ed, Kevin Barry and hamiltonbhoy are going to have a field day if what I'm being told is true, 14 arrests after seatgate
ALL MOTHERWELL FANS only what I've been told, infiltrators in the Celtic end, any other area rubbish, with everything that's went on so far what do you think .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Normally I would never believe this but when I seen the ages, 14-16 it seems, it makes you think. If it is true Celtic will have some apologising to do.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seen it there says from the Motherwell area dnt no team they support

Agree0 Disagree0

'Police have arrested 14 teenagers in connection with crowd trouble at last month's SPFL game between Motherwell and Celtic at Fir Park.

Six 16 year olds, five 15 year olds and three 14 year olds - all from the Motherwell area - were held bringing the total number of arrests to 25.

They will be reported to the procurator fiscal and children's reporter.

During the match, smoke bombs, flares and fireworks were set off. There was also trouble in Motherwell town centre'

I didn't know there was also trouble in Motherwell town centre? Its not really specific about if they are Celtic or Motherwell fan (or neither).

I just wish this situation with the fans and Club could be resolved, I still think there are faults on both sides. 2003 (before the GB), we are all celebrating Martin O'Neill getting the Club to a European final and the fans winning recognition from FIFA and UEFA. Since 2007 the Club has now been fined 7 times - not all GB related I might add! ~ Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

There's a logic to this. Look at the timing of it all. Suddenly 'celtic fans' causing trouble. However the trouble is small isolated pockets of people. The fact that these people are from Motherwell means nothing with regard to their background. Unfortunately their ages will prevent their identities being made public and therefore their true allegiances being made public, until a trial at least. Too neat.

Agree0 Disagree0

And with Motherwell's youth casuals (Saturday Service / Tufty Club) almost all gone ultra (Well Bois) + looking at the ages of the lads in their area of the East Stand, it could well be true that they lads infiltrated the away end to put a nail in the GB coffin. Since Aberdeen's Red Ultras folded there's been a war for Scotland's no 1 between the GB, Onion Bears / Blue Odour and now the WB. Think how easy it'd be to infiltrate and blend in to an away section these days - how many wee guys wear all the casual clobber cause it's the cool thing to do? How many wee guys do ye see at away games you've never seen in your puff before? I've been obsessed with the terrace culture since about 2005, and 8-9 years ago (even 5 years ago) you could spot a group of casuals a mile away. Now you don't know if they're dressers, casuals or ultras!

Agree0 Disagree0

What's a 'dresser' HB? ~ Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

It's like a sideboard but with a rack on the top. Or in the states it could refer to a chest of drawers. pea

Agree0 Disagree0

A dresser is someone who wears all your terrace clobber (Stone Island, adidas Originals, Lacoste, Sergio Tacchini, Fila, etc) but not involved in the casual or ultras scene Mrs E.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is there a name for the guy who stands around in public fondling his genitals (i'm quite serious)?

"So anyway, I was standing on a busy street in daylight with my hand down the front of my tracksuit fondling my genitalia, which was the style at the time"

or

"I was wondering about in public texting people with one hand and fondling my genitals with the other, which was also the style at the time"

Here ed do u or anyone know what's happening with that norweigen striker we signed on a pre contract?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Do you mean Holmbert Fridjonsson? He's from Iceland not Norway, and I was surprised not to see him play in Turkey as he has impressed in training.}

Aye him.mate a heard there's high hopes for him

Agree0 Disagree0

I think nl said he was injured or on break before the tourney and that he will join them when they get back.

Agree0 Disagree0

He said he'd need a few weeks to get up to speed and that he wouldn't be featuring in Turkey. Fingers crossed for this one. JC

for me the team looks good apart from lcb and lb

it would either be thiago silva and alba or hummels and alaba

want to see messi getting it as he's more a team player but feel its ronaldos this year

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Ronaldo will take it this year as well, rumour has it that Messi was top of the polls when voting was originally supposed to close but since the extension CR7 has took over. Anyone know why there was an extension on voting?!

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2014 16:29:34
Got to b Ronaldo this year mainly because messi injuries for me, Robert not even close.
1 Nuer . 2 zabaleta 3 alba 4 kompany 5 Boetang
6 Xavi 7 ineista 8 ribery
9 Ronaldo 10 saurez 11 messi

David Luis wouldn't get in ma celtic team, P*sh is he even playing centre half for Chelsea?

Agree0 Disagree0

For me it would have to be -

Neuer

Lahm Hummels Kompany Baines

Yaya
Vidal Ozil

Messi Ronaldo
Suarez

Ronaldo for Ballon d'Or and again edges it due to Messi's injuries!

Tompo88

So the FIFPro World XI has been confirmed as:

M Neuer (FC Bayern)

P Lahm (FC Bayern)
S Ramos (R Madrid)
T Silva (PSG)
D Alves (Barcelona)

A Iniesta (Barcelona)
Xavi (Barcelona)
F Ribery (FC Bayern)

C Ronaldo (R Madrid)
L Messi (Barcelona)
Z Ibrahimovic (PSG)

How is it even possible for Barcelona to have 4 players compared to Bayern's 3 when Bayern pumped them 7-0 in last years Champions League QF's?! Xavi + Alves are clearly in there based on reputation rather than form cause it's been a while since either looked impressive! Not in a million years should Ramos be in that ahead of Kompany. But hey, what do we know? We're only spectators. That's how around 45,000 players + coaches voted!

Morning Ed007, we 5 of our next 6 games at celtic park, hopefully the GB can be given another chance it will ne a good run of games to get onto a routine, banners, flags and noise to shut the media hacks up, also Aberdeen is a massive game the strongest team possible my startimg eleven would be (if still here)
Foster
Efe Vvd Mulgrew Izzy
forrest brown biton ledley
commons stokes
Subs
zaluska atajic balde henderson sammy
fisher mathews pukki
any of the kids could fill in for sammy ledley
forrest efe and zaluska if foster goes, my only
concern would be if Vvd went, what's your views

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Stokes? Naw my team would be

Fisher ambrose vvd izzy

Forrest Brown mulgrew commons

Pukki balde

I love Sammy, but agree if him and ledley haven't made up their minds then they shouldn't get near the first team. Sammy is dire on the SPL anyway I think mattews is injured atm? Is that right? I like the fisher bhoy anyway. Pukki needs a target man rto play off and I think balde deserves to start a competitive match. I want izzy to play one game at lm so we can have a look at him whilst he isn't thinking about having to defend aswell. Mulgrew always starts for me. One good free kick wins a game.

Darrenbhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

If all our current squad were available then my starting XI would be:

Forster
Lustig - Virgil - Mulgrew - Izzy
Biton
Matthews - Brown - Commons
Pukki - Balde

Until Lustig's back I'd play young Fisher at RB, never looked out of place. Ambrose has improved at domestic level, but still a bombscare in my opinion. Charlie's best position is CB. Biton's passing + vision in the "Wayama" role would be key to turning defence in to attack. Ledley + Sammy shouldn't kick a ball for us again if they haven't signed a new deal. Forrest + Stokes have had plenty chances but fail to shine, Forrest fails to beat his man and pick a pass where as Stokes can't find the back of the net. Pukki + Balde linked up well enough in Turkey to earn a run of games together in the SPFL.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2014 16:18:46
1. Foster

2.mathews. 4. VVD. 5. Ambrose 3. Izzy
6.biton
8. Brown. 7. Mulgrew
11.commons

10.pukki

9.Balde

Think after Turkey Biton, pukki, balde deserve the nod and other players can't have to much to complain about.
Was thinking Henderson for mulgrew but think MULGREW gives the left sided balance to team. And Ledley can go watt samaras

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2014 16:28:40
Good shout lads, lustig and Vvd are player of the year material just a pity big lustig is injured he would be player of the year for me . love um ae bits . and never pukki as striker this or any other season, maybe linkup player but no a striker not on half a seasons showing anyway, hope he proves me wrong (he's got the potential.)

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2014 17:14:44
Have been very critical of pukki myself but he showed up well in that tourney so that's why he's in ma team just off balde. Listing has turned out a gr8 find no. 1 right back

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2014 18:51:04
MB I think the Partick game twice he was clean through
Zilch, last night clean through keeper saves, atajic given the same chances would have scored imo because it is natural to him, atajic frigjonson, watt frigjonson, atajic watt or balde and any of the other three i'd be happy with, it may well be pukki playing behind the front two would be better for the boy

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2014 19:42:28
@(1) darrenbhoy, had a wee chuckle there, we know, Efe and Vvd are good but no keeper, I think your pushing it lol
Ths.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't believe pukki deserves another start because he played well in two cup final friendlies he has had numerous games to show what he's got I seen the games and he did play well but do it when it counts and then I might change my mind

Ayrshire bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Jan 2014 21:17:57
Well Ayrshire bhoy u need to give him the chance now, he got dropped for st Mirren then showed up well in tournament playing along side balde .

Agree0 Disagree0

That's the thing he got dropped for st mirren a game we scored a few goals don't think he should get back in team on the back of two friendlies

Ayrshire bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

And ab whos to say pukki wouldn't have got the 4 of them?give hm a chance mate

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with AB to a certain degree, there's some sort of chemistry between Balde + Pukki up front together, but at the same time Pukki's had 21 competitive games (inc sub appearances) and only scored 3 times. I think Atajic + the new bhoy Fridjonsson deserve a chance ahead of Pukki + Stokes now as both have failed in the first half of the season to secure their position. Watt would need to come back fi Belgium, get the head down at training and stay out of bother (n out of the pubs) before he merits a call up to the starting XI again.

Dear god, Keith Jackson. It seems the lack of a sevco in the top league is still hurting. In a completely unbalanced and frankly nonsensical column he seems to be painting a picture of a hard done by hertz and sevco.

Using emotive phrases like 'bloodlust', he is pushing the line that Scottish football are to blame for the death of rangers and financial struggle at hertz. Are these people, or in this case 'peepul', ever going to face the truth?

Rangers and hertz problems are entirely of their own making.Rangers pursued a borrowing policy that spiralled out of control. They operated in a fashion that made no sense, fiscally or in the common sense world. They were the business equivalent of someone on benefits borrowing £250,000 from a mate who was manager of a pay day loan company.

When they were warned about the possible consequences of this, and they were by many inside and outside of the clumpany, Jackson and the rest of the press pack in Scotland rubbished the stories. This was Timmy scaremongering.Move along now nothing to see here. Much better to write about floating hover pitches and £700m developments in and around ibrokes.

Hertz were a sort of rangers lite.Same kind of poisonous club with the same kind of reckless borrowing, but not on the same scale, or so it seemed.Romanov was given the same free ride Murray was, only the figures involved were different.Romanov, like Murray, gave good copy, so why rock the boat?Again, like rangers, the warning signs were there.Again, like rangers they were ignored.

Make no mistake about it, these clubs are where they are because they deserve to be there. This was both clubs fault, there can be no doubt about that, despite the press continuing to work to a pro sevco agenda. But if you dig a bit further you might even blame the churnalists of Scotland for their woes. If they had done their job, they love to use the journalists when they are really just reporters, things may not have escalated to the level they have.

A Journalist would have looked at the facts, would have contacted people more knowledgeable in the financial sector, and made discreet enquiries from the voices of sanity.A journalist would have bravely exposed the true levels of debt involved and the possible problems that could arise from them. What the rangers and hertz fans got was puff pieces of how they were going to dominate their respective cities.Jackson should remember his legendary 'wealth off the radar' ass licking endorsement of Whyte.

The press in Scotland are more to blame for this than any fan of any other club. There was no 'blood lust' or 'bile' levelled against these two. What did happen was fans would not sit back and ignore blatant mismanagement and financial recklessness to go unchecked.Certainly not while every other club in the country, from Peterhead to Berwick, were budgeting and getting on with it. If the press had reported, without fear or favour, maybe both clubs could have been spared the hand wringing and crocodile tears of people like Jackson.

Aftermoo GJ, sales are probably down from the celtic support (i would hope so), he is pandering to the rangers fans hatred of everything we do and aspire to do, jackson probably still believes in Santa, the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow and Mcoist is a manager, I don't agree with the way the board or how NL has handled some situations but dear God when you look at everything and everyone involved ar Ibrox i'm embarrassed at myself for complaining some of the trivial stuff i've went on about, the more I find out about the police the politicions the media and any one else who defends that mob . gggrrrrr wheres ma GB scarf and banner and flares. time for a wee sweary
fk the lot of them ahh that's better ;))

Agree0 Disagree0

The self pity, finger pointing and denial of the truth is pathetic and feeble. It's also boring and inane;
I went out in the streets today to carry out a poll of non sevco and hearts fans as to how they see the situation the consensus of opinion was a unanimous:-
'They can all fester in their own rancid urine and excrement.'

I remember asking rangers supporting friends how they could afford to spend so much more than celtic when they didn't have that amount coming in. The answer I got was shirt sales. I still remember their faces as I rolled about laughing. I've hardly stopped since.
