What positions would we all like to strengthen in the summer? Now is the time to build on strength, personally I would like a right back, a right winger (if paddy is not staying) and someone to fill in/ challenge Rogic when not fit/ playing.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - I'd agree with all of that except I'd take a new 'keeper rather than a RB along with a new 3rd choice striker if Ciftci is moved on, maybe a youth player being promoted and given a chance if it comes up again. For me us just having Dembele and LG as strikers is a problem. If either gets injured we're down to our bare bones and all it takes is the other one to pick up a knock and we don't have a recognised striker.}

13 Feb 2017 21:28:58
Agree with the striker but I would give youth a chance we have 2 say it again 2 40 goal a season strikers can't rock the harmony within the squad by getting another, I recon a goal keeper will come in, no matter what Rogers says he did try replace Gordon in the summer and it never worked so I can see him trying again.

Two Wingers, a GK, and a CAM. Possibly a CB depending what happens with Kolo and how Ajer/ O'Connell get on.

It's obvious what Rogic brings to the team - but since his arrival he has missed far too much football, for a lad his age due to injury, fitness and stamina problems.
If we had a fitter stronger version and another PR, all we would need is another decent keeper - as long as LG sorts himself out and gets back to what he does best?

Maybe a LB too? I'd gladly give Izzy another year or two. Unless BR really does see Miller as a LB.

Just on to defend Gordon (I know ed) , as most say they want a new GK.
Lets look at this practically, he cost us nothing and the manager wants him on a new deal. It says a lot that our manager who we all trust wants him on a new deal considering he wanted him replaced.

For me this means BR has seen improvement in him.
Yes he has made the odd mistake but tell me a keeper who doesn't.
I seen Courtois, Hart, Forster, Bravo and even DeGea make mistakes recently and they would all cost north of 20 m probably.

No chance of us buying that quality and I think Gordon wudnt look out of place in that company, Chelsea making a move in Jan confirms they think he quality.
His medical record is something that people use to batter him with, well he fit to play and I sure our manager wudnt have him anywhere near 1st team if he wasn't.

He has played more games than Rogic and Jozo and people rave about them at times despite their suspect injuries and it never gets mentioned.
So give the guy a break and tell me where u would find a better GK for nothing.

Are you comparing CG to forster?

All keepers make mistakes I will give you that but CG is frighteningly poor at his near post and doesn't command his area the way a keeper with that level of experience should.

Domestically we will win anything and everything with him in goal but he's found out in Europe. Imo at the moment everything is all rosie with CG because we've been out of Europe for long enough for people to forget but the next clanger they will slate him. I'm also not fooled by chelsea wanting him as a no2 that doesn't tell me he's world class it looks to me like they want to adhere to the ffp rules more than anything else.

Rayman i don't think the fans main gripe about Gordon is his fitness and in fact i hardly ever hear it being mentioned. His decision making and his rushing out abilities are the potential problems although i do personally think he is a fairly good keeper.
Also it's not about finding better players for less money, it's about finding better players.

15 Feb 2017 11:11:59
yes i am comparing him to Forster they went to Epl for similar money. Arguably done aswell as him when he was down there when fit.
Lets compare Europe aswell, CL the highest level.

Only tanking we took was against Barcelona 7-0 he wasn't in goal
but no mention of other players in that game. Why?
BMG was not good but that was down to outfield players not performing, we were poor that night but not CG. No mention of Sinclair sitter or Toure gifting the goals and CG saving us from a drubbing.

Did well every other CL game where is the problem.
How come CG gets it but other who were very poor in these games get excused?

Agree0 Disagree1

15 Feb 2017 16:14:45
Your basing GK being as good as forster because the have both played in the epl and CL? That's like saying kris boyd is as good as Henry when applying the same logic!

CG as I pointed out before is weak at his near post, doesn't command his area and decision making is poor.

What exactly is it he's impressed you with so much? You mentioned the bmg game which we lost so that doesn't hold much weight with your point.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Feb 2017 19:51:44
Tick I never said he was as good as Forster I was comparing them at the highest level (where they should be judged) in the CL.
My point is 7-0 nil against Barcelona and the players get away with it when some had shockers. God forbid if CG was in goal then eh lol.

By the way did u know CG was rated best GK when he was down there and voted best save ever, an accolade Forster yet to achieve.
Forster was good but for his size was terrible at crosses similar to CG to some on here.

Shot stopping both excellent and ball at their feet I would a said similar but CG is better now in my opinion.
So not much between them mate.

As for BMG game we were rotten but CG had a good game .
Can u imagine the fallout if CG had the nightmare and the outfield players were good and we lost.

Just put some balance on it that's all I ask mate.
Its just too easy criticise him for some on here, can't figure why when he cost us nothing. If Jozo or Armstrong cost us nothing we would be raving about them.

15 Feb 2017 22:02:41
It's a fair point rayman and I will admit performances from have been better of late.

Personally I've never been a big fan of him even with the jambos I thought he had the potential to pull of majestic saves but got the basics wrong.

But your right he is heavily criticised on here at times but in fairness most players are after a couple dodgy games mate.

Hi Ed7 just want to give you a shout out and nice message of support! as a Liverpool and Aberdeen fan I do enjoy coming on to the celtic pages just to read your replied etc, I think they are fantastic and this is one of my favourite pages to read on a daily basis. I love the fact that celtic are smashing everyone in the SPL and shoving this down TRFC's throats, there is not one team I detest more than them and reading your replies on them make me laugh especially at the expense of my boss who actually was sad enough to get married at ibrox. I know shocking! lol keep up the good work best site on the rumours website! PS do you see rangers folding or is it that they will never really be at the level they once were again? I hope Aberdeen finish above them this year just so I can rub some more salt in the wounds of the boss! lol ta thanks ed 7.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks very much mate, nice to hear from you. I can easily see RIFC enter administration with the amount of legal challenges on the horizion and if that happens a CVA might be easier to come by, as long as there's no HMRC involvement as creditors, but a lot might depend on their upcoming court case with Mike Ashley and how peed off he is or gets.
This month's payroll at Ibrox is going to be real struggle to meet with only 2 home fixtures in the month and one of them was a very poorly attended cup game on Saturday and the other was their draw with Ross County at the start of the month.
Someone in the Blue Room of Doom will need to sign a few cheques of their own money to see TRIFC complete the month.
Next month they have 3 home matches, including the obligatory home Scottish Cup game and a money spinning TV match away at Scotland's finest stadium against potentially the greatest team Scotland has seen since the Jock Stein era and the countries most successful current club will help them a great deal financially.
I wouldn't be surprised if their has been a strongly worded missive sent to the SPFL to question why TRIFC didn't have more home matches this month.}

13 Feb 2017 20:50:29
I heard that a director had to pay the wage bill last month out his own coffers as well.

So Ed, we are actually feeding the monster that is Sevco next month with the home game at paradise. That's just not tennis Ed. We should pull out, create a sickness bug, man-flu or something, anything, rather than give that manky mob any help. Life's just not fair Ed, let's get onto pistol Pete, see if he agrees. What you think Ed.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Well we've cut their ticket allocation so there won't be as many Chelsea supporters getting tickets.}

13 Feb 2017 22:51:36
I know that Ed but they still earn tv money. Not fair, they'll wreck the place anyway, bunch of orcs. Warbo and big Loyal Davie will take them to the cleaners anyway, they won't see out the season at this rate. And just seen that nougat on Sly saying whoever the board picks, they'll follow them anyway. How delusional are they? I think the loyal burgers and pies are spiked at greyskull, you couldn't make this stuff up.

Agree1 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - Don't worry, I'm sure the Sons of Struth will announce at some point how they were duped by King. That doesn't help the young lassies him and his drug addled cardboard casuals terrorised as they tried to do their Saturday jobs in Sports Direct or the old gentlemen and female Ibrox employees who were assaulted the night the Hearts game was abandoned.
If Celtic had a moron like that being wheeled out as a fans rep I would be going off my nut, I seen that interview on Sly, had the filthy looking tramp just crawled out a skip before the cameras started rolling?}

13 Feb 2017 23:17:55
I know Ed, a good scrub with some bicarbonate of soda would've done the trick. I can't believe how thick they all are, they really think TGASL is the real deal. He couldn't lace wee Fergus's boots, he's not and never will be in his league. We should retire the bunnett just now forever, that wee man is a true fan and legend. I certainly never agreed with him at the time but he stuck to the task, made himself a few bob but look at the stadium and business model we have. If you don't earn it, don't spend it. Sorry for the rant, goodnight all.

{Ed007's Note - Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. Shame me thrice and I'm a daft Hun.}

Get the facts right Ed, Admin indeed?
DK has been waiting for the right moment to bang his £30 million into the coffers.
Oh, wait, I see he has actually reworded over the last few days where instead of claiming to actually have £30 million to plow in to the club he has now stated that he reckons the club needs up to £30 million invested so that they can challenge Celtic.
More spin on words than a politician and the fans keep swallowing his BS.
I would dearly love to see Admin2 its what they deserve as a business.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Didn't the google-eyed tax dodging criminal who pleaded guilty to 41 criminal counts of contravening the South Africa Income Tax Act claim he had already put in £18m of his promised £30 million the other day?}

14 Feb 2017 13:33:24

Brilliant thanks ed7 this allows me to sit and quietly chuckle to myself in the corner of my office while he's sitting telling me how well rangow they will be challenging celtic for the title next year when they spend the other 12 million plus that they have sitting. some people are just blind to what's going on! personally I hope to see them collapse and hope mike Ashley helps their demise quicker!

good luck for the rest of the season make it a treble please just so i've got more to wind him up about!

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I hoped you wished him Happy Administration Day, 5 years to the day from the beginning of the end of the old rancid and sectarian club. And oh how we laughed!

I don't understand its clear to see that The Lying King had easily spent 18 million and has millions more vietnamese dong to spend. I reckon he will stump up with at least another 25 million dong in the summer.

{Ed007's Note - I think he'd settle for 40,000 dongs buying season tickets.}

couldn't believe that scud bucket on sly spurts giving it they would back the board to get the right man, that's what happens when he's the lackie I suppose. wasn't too long ago pep warbiola was ruling the world and the next England manager in waiting, suppose that would be at subbuteo.

Also was it my hearing or did when they asked it who should be the next manager the sevconian said he should be? He sure has that sevco look down to a tee.
You just wonder if the gullibles will ever wake up.

too busy trying to make up a rivalry with us to realise they are an irrelevance and nobody would lift an eyelid if the newco went bust, except the media and sevconians of course.
