What's happened to Commper and for that matter Kouassi? Neither even making bench.

I thought Kouassi was outstanding v Zenit at CP. Surprised he hasn't featured more.

Agree1 Disagree1

13 Apr 2018 11:00:19
Compper took so long to get fit and get a game, but now - like Gamboa - seems to be out of the picture?
Kouassi did have an outstanding game against Zenit but with the return of Rogic and now Armstrong - plus Roberts, he has fell down the pecking order and the arrival of Musonda has made it even more difficult to make the squad.
When you add Broony, McGregor, Sinclair, Forrest and with Biton, Hayes and Christie still to return, we are spoiled for choice and I can understand the speculation about players possibly leaving.

13 Apr 2018 11:09:54
He will need to fight for a place in the team, can only make him a better player, he’s still young and better than any other CM in the league outwith Celtic. So shows the depth we have.

So all yellow cards are appeallable now 🙈🙈🙈🙈.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - Clubs can appeal yellow cards for cases of mistaken identity or simulation.}

12 Apr 2018 22:31:12
Cheers ed. Didn't think yellows could be appealed. My bad 😔.

{Ed007's Note - It wasn't that long ago that the rules changed, I remember Aberdeen doing it and that's how I found out about it.}

14 Apr 2018 18:43:24
I think the real problem in Scotland is hat referees are giving cards to Rangers 2012.players in nearly the same way as other clubs .
It's obvious Rangeers 1872 had the money available to ensure cards were rarely issued . Now whither's no money Rangers 2012.are depending on the referees love for the club, to keep the cards in their pockets.

Anyone know if I can pick up a top in Thailand?

Don't know about a top but you can pick up the 👏 in Thailand Ally 🤣.

There are quite a few vendors who can make you an embroidered polo top or printed t shirt for pennies. I've a mate who goes to Pattaya every year and brings me one home. The vendor guy does all the designs from a computer so they're pretty bang on.

Not Celtic related but Kilmarnock are £250/ 1 to finish 2nd after looking at the fixtures surely its worth a couple of pound! Kilmarnock if they win there game in hand are only 7 points off 2nd.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

12 Apr 2018 18:46:56
I like a punt, but. it’s 250/ 1 for a reason. All the teams in the top 6 apart from us are much of a muchness. Form team I agree. It too much ground to make up.

Have a bet on them now to be 2nd next season.

There was always a good crowd of Tims in the International Bar at Tollcross just before The Meadows.

Time this split was binned it is a shambles year after year. What other country uses is it or made a success of it previously. When you look at the decision making of the SPL and SFA you have to wonder is Scottish football run by clowns who have no clue or interest in football whatsoever. Everything they do is an embarrassment, no wonder Scottish football has been on the decline for years. It's time this lot were cleared out from top to bottom and one association formed from the ashes.

Only football to us minions, but money spinner/ profiteers to them.

Must be a Zombie disagreeing what with them being the only club who seem to benefit from SPL and SFA decisions. The funny handshake brigade. unable to make their way through life without the help of others, more backbone in a jellyfish.

100% Tim and got more years under my belt than most.
Cherish youth, but trust old age.

Sunday's taken its time to come around. Hail Hail.

I can see the benefits of the split for the teams fighting relegation, and in theory playing the so called better teams in the top 6 should improve what we’re watching as supporters, and what is the alternative, bring more teams in, play less games?

Let's not forget a simple point.
If the Clubs do not want it, all they have to do is vote to bin it. The SPFL are a group of people representing the members (clubs) . Like any association, if the required number vote against something (number is decided by their own rules and constitution) then it can be changed.
That being the case, it would appear the majority want to keep the split.
(or am I missing something and wrong? )

12 Apr 2018 17:21:24
Only in Scotland can a team that finishes in the bottom 6 finish above a team in top 6 and it deemed worthless. That itself makes it a joke.

I would prefer Bain; but I posted earlier in the week that I thought BR would play Gordon because of his experience of the venue.

12 Apr 2018 13:01:21
Once a bhoy I think the exact same would prefer Bain but can see him going back to gordon.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Apr 2018 15:10:55
I can't see him throwing Gordon in to this game after only one game and then having to sit out again.

Agree0 Disagree4

12 Apr 2018 15:41:28
What is it you see in Bain, from what i've seen, yes he’s ok, but Gordon is our best keeper.

12 Apr 2018 17:38:23
I would play Simunovic before Boyata after his horror show in the last game.

12 Apr 2018 18:17:43
Jaj73. I have seen a keeper that doesn't kick the ball straight out of play or to the opposition almost everytime he kicks it.
I've seen a keeper who seems to be able to catch a ball.
His decision making seems sound enough with no sprinting out the box or kung fu kicks yet.
On top of that he seems to be a good shot stopper.

Agree0 Disagree1

12 Apr 2018 19:36:35
Kev your basing Bain over a couple of games, and picking Gordon’s mistakes over a couple of seasons.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Apr 2018 19:52:56
You think I haven't seen Bain or Gordon for that matter play before they arrived at parkhead?

Agree0 Disagree1

12 Apr 2018 20:06:33
Craig Gordon has made many an error and cost us dearly at times and his Kung fu kicks all should have been red cards

Bain I must say gives me confidence and fir that reason I’d play him ahead of CG

I’d rather we had a top drawer keeper but we ain’t going to spend money so I can only dream.

Agree1 Disagree1

12 Apr 2018 20:06:44
Kev you’ve only seen Bain in a Celtic shirt for a couple of games, you might be a fantastic talent spotter I don’t know, but to judge Bain and gordon so quickly I don’t think you can, we are entitled to our own opinion in which I respect, but I don’t think bain has played in enough in big games to say that he’s better than Gordon, just my opinion though.

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Apr 2018 20:28:50
Fair enough but I’m not saying Bain is better than Gordon

I have more confidence in him than I do Gordon based on what I’ve seen

Time will tell though Bain May only have 6 more games to show if he is worth signing.

Agree0 Disagree1

12 Apr 2018 20:34:08
Jaj73 I have seen him in a Dundee shirt quite a few times as well as Celtic. Started keeping an eye on him couple years back when his name was first mentioned as a potential Celtic signing.
As for Gordon I have seen him play for 3 different clubs including Celtic and have never thought he was good enough.

Craig Gordon has played 200 games for Celtic. I have watched somewhere between 180& 190 of them either life at the match or on TV . I have to say although he has made mistakes, I don't think he has been any bigger a culprit than most of our previous goalkeepers.
Talking about goalkeepers making mistakes, it certainly isn't only Celtic whose keeper can make proper howlers . Last night the Real Madrid ( one of the top teams in the World ) made a bigger mistake than I have ever seen Gordon making . A absolute clanger with no excuse what so ever . Now I don't watch Real Madrid play 50 plus games a season If I did I think their goalie would make many mistakes .
I honesty think some people who watch Celtic play nearly every game see a player, goalie, centre back or whatever, I think seeing the mistakes made, make some of us thing that our players make too many mistakes, they are comparing 50+ games watched to half a dozen games played by players of other teams.

Here is my big difference with Gordon and our last 2 major keepers.
I can not remember a big game were i thought gordon won us that game. Yes he's had some good saves but that's it for me.
If you mention big frazer my mind automatically goes to his games against Barca
Boruc my mind goes to the Manchester United game. Saves fae saha and the penalty. Was always thinking we had the chance when big man was in goals at penalty shootouts.
Everytime I see Gordon go near the ball I get the fear.

Agree0 Disagree1

13 Apr 2018 14:55:52
I think your being a bit unfair on Gordon Kev83, he was instrumental in our unbeaten run, pulling off some cracking saves, with Gordon I feel we have a good consistent goal keeper, he doesn’t have the flair Boric had, who I think is the best keeper we had, and was also prone to the odd blunder.
