Right guys hands up ive been away for a while but would say well done to get a result against barca. Second point, as much as getting good results in the cl and lennon getting deserved plaudits for it ( i even heard top 4 prem job the other night on the radio ) i did have a chuckle must admit.. anyway what happens if you keep dropping points in the league ok your obviously gonna win it but surely lennons got to be looked at, just like ally at my place, and another thing dam this weather sucks im just back from iraq with a peach of a suntan..

The drop in points havent been good enough but after the last group game there is a 2 and a half month gap until the next set of european games, in that 2 and a half months I reckon we will see Celtic return to last seasons form where they have no distractions or fatigue and we should create a decent gap at the top. None the less the players attitude to the SPL has to change immediately

G93

Craig your 50yr old manager has just been given a mentor to get out of div 3, our 41yr old manager is 2 games away from the last 16 in the CL. There is no comparison Mrs E

Craig+babybear its good to hear you're back safe.

Lennon seems to be having trouble motivating the team for the SPL but as G93 says we will have a decent gap between European games (assuming we qualify) so we should have no excuse for poor form.

If we are still trailing at the turn of the year I will be pretty disapppointed and I'm sure Lenny will be considering his position.

todays game was another poor spl
performance. with 2 more cl games
to come and a good chance of cl or
europa league after xmas ,i think
theres a real chance for hibs/dons
etc to win the league.
our spl form is chronic and we seem
to have no motivation whatsoever.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Last CL game 5th December, next european game is around the 20th February, by that time they will have no distractions or fatigue and we will go several points clear. If we get last 16 realistically we will only have 2 European games after XMAS and if Europa League probably 4/6 maximum, we will win the league by 15 points, dont act like a zombie and think theres nae point anytime your team drops points.

G93

Agree2 Disagree1

Re 1) Fatigue is 7 night shifts in a row or if you want to relate to sport 5 sets of tennis 4 days in a row, 90 mins 3 times a week get a grip.

Agree5 Disagree0

Don't forget there's mental fatigue bhoys, it must take its toll , I bet most of the crowd took days to get over the barca game , imagine being on the receiving end. We are all human. If they lose the old league game I personally couldn't give a monkeys , I admit it , I'm a big game hunter . HH joe

Agree0 Disagree3

For the money these guys earn the should be able to handle a game against st johnstone almost 3 and a half days after there previous game no matter how hard they had to work.

Agree3 Disagree0

It will be harder than you think to go several points clear. That requires Hibs to drop several. If they go on a good run there will be a fight for it. I always said somebody would Step up and it looks like hibs are and a couple of others got their eye on it. There is a a big difference in players attitudes when they are in with a shout. Now the duopoly has gone, the dynamics of the league have changed.

Would like to say I appreciated the Green Brigade's decision to puposefully arrive after the minutes silence. Like I said yesterday I know some of them have they're own views on these things and It was the correct and diplomatic way of dealing with the situation. We all know the mic's were at the ready and the journalist must've been sporting semi's at the idea of noise through the minutes silence but get it up them.

Thanks to all the Green Brigade.

We could have done without the 10 minutes of Aidan McAnsepie after the silence mind you haha but hey one step at a time.

As for the perfomance, I'm embarrassed anytime we lose points at home in the league but even more so when it's St.Johnstone who are sh*te and are managed by the biggest wan*er since Berndt Schuster. Not a happy camper after watching that drivel today.

Stevensee88

Believable6 Unbelievable7

90% of the Green Brigade are probably just following the heard. I didn't appreciate them coming in late. I would have appreciated it more if they were in the crowd, observing the minute silence like the rest of us. As my dad always says, during the war, when the planes were overhead, we were all hiding in houses together. Catholics,Protestants, Jews, etc. etc.
I appreciate i have not been brought up in Northern Ireland, where Catholics seem to be , in the past, second class citezens. But to put the whole armed forces into this bracket is nonsence.
We are a club that welcomes all, and that includes Army veterans.

Agree18 Disagree5

Agreed Joe, I was brought up in Glasgow & so were both my Parents and both set of Grandparents.

My Mum's Grandparents were Irish but I never had the pleasure of meeting them.

Celtic simply asked this:- November 11 marks the 94th anniversary of the ending of the First World War. And there will be a minute's silence in memory of all those who died in that war and in all other conflicts.

However the victory in both WW1 & WW2 defended our freedom of speech and expression of opinion so anyone not wishing to observe had every right to stay away. Mrs E

Agree10 Disagree1

Im form n.i my grandad fought in the war i always give money to poppie fund but i dont wear one, each to his own garlar07

Agree4 Disagree0

I see it as a minutes silence for ALL that die in these horrible wars, that includes our enemies. Its not a time for who's the winners or the losers, just peace. {Ed013's Note - I know a lot of Celtic fans in the Forces, they have respect for the silence and like you say it is a minutes silence for all loss in all wars that you choose to think about}

Agree3 Disagree0

@3. i agree with that. we lost family members in the armed forces and contribute to the fund but i dont need to wear a poppy to show ive paid up. i understand the reasoning behind it but it can be used in the wrong way and is. a report on tv tonight showed a woman in scarborough who started a charity to help ex-servicemen with ptsd said nothing was being done for them so she took action. so even now the poppy fund doesnt seem to reach everyone in need and isnt the be all and end all. how many people chuck a few coins in a box and go round with a poppy on thinking theyve done their bit ?

Thanks for the back up Miko mate.
I bet ED001 regrets answering as he is getting bogged down in semantics arguing over when a debt is a debt. We all know if we have a debt only sevco do not recognise paying debts.
I always enjoy my Sunday fishing trips to sevco page lol Timalloy

Agree2 Disagree0

Timalloy - do you have a mortgage? if so has your lender told you it must be paid in full now or does he allow you to pay this over a fixed period of time? if the answer is the latter then it's probably because your next and future payments are not due.

Agree1 Disagree2

Still debt though. My mortgage is debt. Even though i just paid this months payment, i still owe the rest. You dont believe Rangers owing money for players is debt whether its now or next year or the year after.. then your on here having a bubble. Absolute bullsh*t

Answering Bobby Lennox ... Bobby! Bobby! Bobby! How can you say Celtic are the best club in the world, when they're not even the best in Glasgow?! Languishing in SFL3 is the most successful club in world football. They have amassed a WR 115 domestic trophies, which includes a WR of 54 titles. They have also set numerous World, European and British attendance records over their 140 year history. Their traveling support is second to none, especially when an estimated 200,000 were in Manchester, 2008. They also appeared in 4 European Finals, winning one, in 1972. The mind boggles what could happen if a club, like that, did win the coveted Champions League, or even appeared in a final. There's more to add about this great club, but I believe you now know the true answer ... RANGERS! Geo the Ger

The OP is obsessed - must be if he's on these pages. Isn't that the criteria for being obsessed?

Agree5 Disagree1

Geo, now you know why you are languishing in the 3rd div. That 'post' is full of arrogance.

I don't care if you keep all your ex-club's titles, trophies or if you believe CG bought the history, Celtic and the rest of Scottish football will continue to play the game without needing to use side letters.

Is that why you support the team at ibrox because they are big boys and win things..by any means possible including cheating ? Like a mob really.

What about the supporters of clubs that turn up week in week out to support their team but can never compete financially with Celtic or Rangers.

A post like this shows you up for what you really are..a glory hunter and nothing else. Your new club and management have no idea what to do without the big pounds to spend, its pityful. In saying that you are still spend, spend, spend...2nd highest wage bill in Scotland & possibly a div 3 title to show for it (rid neck)

If you don't win Div 3, your fellow glory hunters will vanish by the thousands. Mrs E

Agree9 Disagree2

Oh aye remember them, aye that mob that cheated titles and embarrassed the nation whenever they're team played away from home. Aye they took 200 thousand s*umbags down to manchester and recked the gaff. Aye they even ruined they're big day when they won the ditty euro cup in 72', pitch invasions before the final whistle, rioting. They couldnt even present them with the trophy properly because of the nutters fighting with the polis and had to do the honours inside the stadium in an office, 2 year ban they got for there behaviour, which was reduced to 1 year ban. Oh aye they were a bad lot. Aye when wiz it they died again? WHO THE F*CK CARES! DEAD Geo, DEAD!! AS IN CEASED TO BE, PAST TENSE, BEREFT OF LIFE, THEY BIT THE BIG ONE, WENT FOR A BURTON, RODE THE WHITE HORSE, ERASED, EXTINCT, DEPARTED, RIGHT SAID FRED!

This most successful club in world football thing needs to be put to bed. that is claimed by virtue of winning scottish league titles (the majority in the very dim past with no tv pundits discussing the referees !). only scottish clubs took part so it is only a measure of success in scotland. its recognised by everyone, except the deluded huddled masses of ibrox, that real madrid are the most successful football club in the world, followed by a very long list indeed before geo the ger's club features. this is due to the fact that they have won international titles therefore being the rightful claimants, a subject about which geo will know nothing.

Believable12 Unbelievable3

It was a fantastic result for Celtic on Wednesday and a terrible result today. It's all good beating the big teams in one-off matches but if you can't beat the smaller teams then it's pointless. Clearly, the Celtic players can motivate themselves for the European matches but not so much for the league matches which could become a problem at a later stage in the season.

Hey all !

Just read that post about amalgamating teams - almost chocked on my cornflakes - Morton and St Mirren ? Anyways, Scottish Football apart from Celtic is struggling - I may get shot down in flames here but the only way forward is for there to be a British League , other countries throughout Europe should also join leagues to increase competition and to stop the Bigger Teams becoming more rich and full of top class players. I mean the benches of all these top English, Italian , German and Spanish teams could create championship winning teams in any league around the world. Fifa need to look at it and allow each country to still have a national squad.

Examples

Scotland England Wales and NI

All the former Yugoslavian States

Norway, Sweden , Finland etc

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Why should Celtic be a feeder club for EPL teams just because they have bigger TV money deals? We would have bigger money then them if we were in the EPL. We are s bigger club with bigger fan base which would grow globally with EPL membership and sky money. Current Uefa regulations are keeping the game from progressing.

Agree5 Disagree0

Keep choking pal because your post is total nonsense. There's more chance of St Mirren and Morton amalgamating than there is of a British league!

Even if there was a proposal for a British league, only Celtic and Rangers would be invited, so how would that benefit Scottish Football?

Two professional leagues in this country is the way forward!

Think before you post!
