GUARD OF HONOUR
I have been checking up on this and the last time the possibility of either team giving this guard of honour to the other was in 1976 when Celtic agreed to do it but the police refused to allow it due to the possible crowd reaction.
So, for safety concerns it makes sense NOT to have one.
IMO - Thump them in their own backyard then over to Parkhead to celebrate with their fans.

This is an example of Sevcos morals they’ve been bleating about but have chosen in this instance to send this message of unsportsmanship. In fairness nobody cares about the tradition but it’s their growing raging arrogance that’s frightening. Hope we avoid their hatchet tactics and display our team professionals and more importantly champions!

Rangers2012 shouldn't even be in our League, if the Scottish Football Authorities had broken their own laws to get the new club Rangers2012 into the Scottish League, even though others were ahead of them .
Since then the club and its fans aided and abetted by referees and assistants have bullied their way into SPL . It would be so out of keeping if this club would show honour to anything or anyone .

With the news today that Lee Congerton has resigned, does this indicate a completely new management team to come in? I can't say I was sad to hear of his departure as I don't think many of us really thought he did a good job although Ed has said he's very highly rated in the game so who knows.
Any idea of who might replace him or will a DoF come in in his place?

Anyway only 3 games left this season. Let's get a good result at Ibrox tomorrow but most importantly win the treble treble. What a great time to be a Tim!

I get what you're saying Leeds but like it or not games against the walking dead are always going to be must win so our strongest team will be picked I for one would be happy to play a weakened team but I'm in the minority there would be a hell of a backlash from the fan's if we fielded a team that took a real beating.

Lennon has resisted playing Hayes at LB in KT's absence and seems to prefer Izzaguire. I also think he will start with Ntcham - as he played him at Celtic Park against Sevco. Not my preference at all; however as both of them have struggled recently.

I certainly won’t complain Ed if that happens! Probably the got the best kick up the arse we needed when we lost in December. Faultiest record since then. I think we should Focus on the treble then we’ll talk about potential managers, players future etc then!

What is it with the over the top aggression towards him? It's actually getting ridiculous.

It's like people just copy each other on social media and repeat what they hear.

As for behaviour, I couldn't care less. I thought Boruc was some laugh. Rather that than some pretend snob like Rodgers with his fake professionalism and fake teeth.

Ed, I see that congerton has left and reports mentioned that he was being considered for a sporting directors role at Celtic! Is he really that well thought of in the game? Every clubs supporters he's been at seem to question what the eff he actually does.

{Ed007's Note - Congerton is very highly rated in the game. His time at Sunderland was a disaster because the owner put them up for sale and stopped subsidising the club.}

Have you got anybody in mind that you would like to see take his role? Would it be a dual role, head of recruitment/ DoF? Or 2 separate appointments? Or will this all be dependent on who's the next manager? I know its a lot of questions lol.

What about ex-Chelsea Technical Director Michael Emenalo who left Monaco a couple of months ago? Clancy is both bias and shockingly bad, in equal measure. Both factors indicate that he should not be allowed anywhere near this derby.

When is our club going to stand up to the SFA and highlight publicly that Rangers' fans should not be allowed to referee a match involving their team due to the phenomenon known as "ingroup bias".

It's got to the point where there are easily five or six 'referees' that have an obvious allegiance to Sevco (past and present) and you can bet your bahookie on either of them having these games.
Celtic have never raised the issue for some reason or another and it will only get worse and more blatant as we continue to seek the 10.
Only in Scotland is this deliberate attempt to influence football matches condoned and encouraged by the parent football association.

It will be a disgrace if Collum is not the referee in killie v sevco game next week because it will only put more pressure on collum for next season, with him not officiating a sevco match since last November.
Since the first glasgow derby this season the 4th official has refereed the next game.
Beaton was 4th official in first game then refereed the next game, followed by madden and now clancy. Which would mean Thompson will referee the first derby next season.

But confused on here with some comments regarding Lennon and the next managerial appointment. Yes it's all about opinions and Lennons not everyone's cup of tea for the full time job, but I'm reading comments about his style of play etc etc. while we were winning games ( just like Lennon mostly has since coming in) watching Rodgers team since the start of the season hasn't been great either. Truth being told yes results don't lie, but the football we've watched most of this season compared to the past two years has been poor, during the first half of this season under Rodgers and also since Lennon came in. Remember this though, Lennon is working with Rodgers players, keeping it to the style Rodgers has continually played. Now if Lennon gets the job ( or whoever it is) there will be new signings, players leaving, what we're watching right now won't be the team we watch next season. So while we've got him and while he's leading the team get behind him and the club and come the summer what will be will be.

Rodgers is a one trick pony. Tactics are always the same style. Similar to Wenger when plan A doesn't work u are screwed.

Rodgers is a great coach though.

Lennon although not necessarily a better manager has got further in Europe with Celtic than Rodgers even could with Liverpool.

As for the boring football comments. Strachan played boring football and our crowd was split on him.

Strachan was a better manager than Rodgers. By a long way.

With half the Celtic fans not wanting Lenny, that's him getting it in the neck from 3 quarters of the city, which I feel is cruel and too much for someone to have to deal with.
If he does get the managers job those same fans are going to be continually over critical, which I feel is unfair and if I was him I would get out.
If he does go and we take a gamble on a Paul LeGuen type and it starts to go wrong, the meltdown from those same spoiled Celtic fans will be huge and it will effect our chances of 10 in a row bigtime.
Lenny needs to look after his family because I don't think he will get a fair crack of the wip from all Celtic fans, which I feel is a shame.

Leon your making this sound like all Celtic fans have it in for Lenny. Every Celtic fan has Lennys back me included but that does not mean we have to want him as our new manager. He will get full backing like he always does until our last game of the season. He will get it in the neck from zombies, not us. Everyone, or should i say some people on here are making out like he was our saviour in our hour of need like it was some kind of chore or inconvenience to come manage the club he loves. He was out of work and we would not have asked him to come in had he still been at Hibs. a lot of people on here need to remove their green tinted specs. Love the man yes, a club legend yes, new manager no.
