ED007 as regards the timing of the semi final, you stated the kick off would be 12.30, it has now been confirmed as 12.00, how could you get is so wrong? all my faith in you has diminished.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - I know mate sorry about that. I'm sure I told them 12.30 in my e-mail. At least it's not Mother's Day so there's no excuses for us not having a half decent support at it.}

11 Mar 2016 21:04:36
You should know better Ed that a specific time is PARTICULARLY important and shown them RESPECT that's why I left the timing open as early as possible

Next you will be telling us you forgot to attach the picture confirming your identity wearing either a Bowler hat, Cardigan or Brown Shoes? :P.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Tim's post was particularly disrespectful.}

11 Mar 2016 22:40:09
ED007 I respectfully ask you to accept my right to be disrespectful, and hope my timing is not wrong lol.

Aye no problem . The bus from the boat gets in for 12.30, it will just be the same as getting into PT today .
Funny enough I was in Belfast during the week and drove along Sandy Row . I came across Rangers supporters club . The funny thing about it, this club is far older than the club formed in 2012 . I didn't ask any of the smokers standing at the door to explain.

Going to talk about football, yes coming from me unusual lol, but from now until end of season surely it is time for Deila to stop chopping and changing the team. Play a settled formation and barring injuries or suspension, keep to that smaller squad. That is what the late great Jock Stein did and then successive managers like big Billy, MON, Strachan and Lennon also did.
So my message to Ronnie is stop tinkering.

I'd keep Mulgrew at CB with Sviatchenko and have Armstrong just in front of Brown in Johansen's absence. Roberts out wide also with GMS and any one of Commons/Rogic/Allen behind Griff. Hopefully that's a team that could manage 5/6 games without any serious injuries and I'd be very confident of having the league pretty much sewn up by the semi-final and winning that well.

Kevbhoy why Allen?

Agree1 Disagree1

11 Mar 2016 19:03:12
He has had plenty of time to assess the squad and know who we can rely on to push on and finish the job.
The malcontents and under-achievers have had their chance and there is more than enough talent at the club to secure the double - even allowing for the honest mistake mob.

Agree1 Disagree1

11 Mar 2016 19:24:50
Agree that Mulgrew must be played at Centre back he's never done much wrong when played there. Boyota would fill me with horror playing in any kind of pressure game.

Tim totally agree and have been saying it for a while now! Problem is nobody knows the best team - not even Deila.

Agree0 Disagree1

11 Mar 2016 20:15:14
I think rotation is important, and of course needed. With new signings, injuries, being made to play players etc it's tough. Good point marty. Take CB for example, going forward I'd like to think Sviatchenko and Simunovic would be our best, but off the top of my head I don't even know if they've played together!

Agree0 Disagree1

11 Mar 2016 20:34:16
@DN30 because I've been very impressed with his vision and range of passing any time I've seen him play and think he's definitely worth more than the limited chances he's had so far.

Agree1 Disagree1

11 Mar 2016 21:31:23
I think rotation is one of these ideas that someone thought was a good idea, and then some of the coaching community followed sheep like. What is the point of rotation?, is it not better to play your best team as much as possible, get team spirit going and let players get used to playing with each other as much as possible, rest players if their form dips and replace injured players with an 'understudy' from the reserves, this rotating players for rotations sake because its the 'modern progressive 'way is crazy,

Agree1 Disagree2

13 Mar 2016 23:55:58
Rotation of the attacking players was attributed as one of Stein's strengths but J S tried to play same goalie and defenders all the time unless injury or suspension .
Most successful teams have some rotation as they want to have more than 11 players match fit at any onetime.

Good shout on benitez for Newcastle ed, think it will start up the moyes for Celtic rumours again?
What's your views on moyes? I'm not looking for us to get a new manager but not sure my choice would be moyes.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed007's Note - Moyes is a terrible coach, tactically naive and he's clueless when it comes to nurturing young players. Everton's School of Science and the people working there covered a multitude of his sins and he's been found out since he left Goodison. I don't want him anywhere near CFC.}

11 Mar 2016 17:03:55
How is Moyes a terrible coach, what does this word coach mean?, there are people on here that say Ronnie is a good coach, a great coach, but where the evidence?, he might be a good nutritionist, a good fitness expert a great public speaker, but a good coach, where is the evidence?, if coach means guiding players into a better way of looking after their bodies, maybe he is a good coach buy how can you slate Moyes for being tactically naive when Ronnies brought tactical naivety to new depths and he is held up as being a great coach by you and a few others.

Agree1 Disagree1

11 Mar 2016 17:18:02
Maybe, just maybe, this post had nothing to do with RD.

It was hypothetical question about Moyes.

If you wanna bring RD into it, how's this:

Malky McKay, Owen Coyle, Roy Keane, Henrik Larsson, Alan Stubbs and, yes, David Moyes.

By the end of this year, Ronny could have won more trophies (as a manager) than all the rest combined.

Just saying.

11 Mar 2016 18:01:29
RD is an improvement on previous joke of a manager.

11 Mar 2016 18:22:54
I started a thread about artificial surfaces once PP and it came to how RD was a joke and should be sacked. It's like the youtube comments threads always lead to 9/ 11.

Ha! Brilliant! #ronnyout.

JimTim RD will probably get blame for 9/ 11 as well soon lol.

11 Mar 2016 19:19:19
My post was'nt meant to be anti Ronnie, it was meant to be anti Ronnie (blessed be his name) worshippers, who can slag Moyes off for being tactically naive and still doff their caps at Ronnies tactical genius.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Who's Ronnie?}

11 Mar 2016 19:31:27
I think the signings Moyes made covered up how backward his methods are! I know his old man was/ still is I think a scout, I don't know who else handled recruitment, I think Moyes (junior) had a big say. I know it was him that wanted John Stones. He also paid £4 million for Baines and Coleman. I can see Lawwell being turned on by this because all he thinks about is making a profit on players, which is OK to a point, he is obsessed with it regardless! Supposedly the Man Utd players were amazed at the sessions Moyes and I think the coaches name was Steve Round, anyway the training was supposed to be completely draconian! One thing I would add though is it's not just about the coaching, Brendan Rodgers has great/ progressive ideas, so has Steve McClaren, and of course Ronny is forward thinking, it's about putting it into practice though, you can have the best ideas in the world, if you can't handle pressure, have a character flaw or whatever it is then its pointless! Michael O'Neill is an example of someone who plays pretty basic football but seems to get the job done!

Agree1 Disagree1

11 Mar 2016 19:45:38
Fair point Delphic, but Big Sam is another "example of someone who plays pretty basic football but seems to get the job done" and I wouldn't wish him on anyone.

11 Mar 2016 20:18:49
Absolutely mate, the thing about Allardyce is he's never changed - he's almost proud of what he does, Pulis is the same. I think you can be progressive and also pragmatic and streetwise. Out the British managers I quite like Chris Coleman. I don't know if after the Euro's he might fancy a club job. I know you guys want Ronny to stay and I respect that, my main problem is he doesn't seem to learn, if we played a Malmo or Molde tomorrow I think the same thing would happen! These qualifiers in July are huge because we're becoming an afterthought in Europe. That's if we win the league, which in itself is incredible!

Agree2 Disagree1

12 Mar 2016 22:37:17
There are many people who at this stage think very little about Ronny, may well revise their opinion of Ronny after a year or a year and a half after he is gone. Unfortunately it will be too late for them and for Celtic.

I see Daily Record ran a story today about Leigh Griffiths 3yr old daughter! That paper as EVERYONE knows is a scum paper but that really shocked me today.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

11 Mar 2016 14:38:30
The Daily Record is probably the most vile and evil media outlet in Scotland . Mind u it has plenty of opposition from the Sun and others, avoid the whole bloody lot .

11 Mar 2016 14:39:34
Agree but unfortunately they have a target audience. And scumbag stories sell.

On a sidenote, their 'chief sports writer' said CG was the best British keeper a couple of weeks ago.

Not exactly Celtic related but thought this wee poll would be fun for Friday:

Who is the biggest jerk?

A) James Corden
B) Bono
C) Michael McIntyre
D) Peter Andre
E) Sting

Please make it happen Ed ;)

I find James corden quite funny to be honest.

Don't be fooled by Corden he is a class A d*** lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Mar 2016 19:21:32
It's Corden's fake laugh, pretending to wipe his eyes of tears and squeeking "oh god", all the time his guest and audience can't see the funny side. At least Bono is part of a good band (their earlier stuff anyways) .

Agree1 Disagree0

12 Mar 2016 08:04:25
Agreed JimTim, I also find that extremely irritating. Everything about the fat, fake, unfunny, talentless p**** annoys me and I can't understand how some people don't see through it and how he has managed to make a career in comedy? I reckon he must be an arse licker to compensate for his lack of talent and his mouth and tongue must reek of poo.
