Evening all. I'm starting to get really annoyed the way the spl, sfa, sfl are constantly breaking rules to accommodate a new club! Rangers took them to court over a punishment that is not in the rules and won! Where in the rules does it say that the reincarnated club that has brought complete shame on Scottish football should be placed in the div1 and come back debt free in one season yeah that will show them!

Brian

Believable6 Unbelievable2

They brought complete shame on their club and it's supporters. Not the whole of Scottish football as some of you would have us believe. Any shame that's been heaped on Scottish football is down to the league brass and the other member clubs chairmen for not having had a proper system in place to hand out punishments for such offences. Ed i agree with you about the sky money not being the be all and end all,the most important thing is us fans filling the stadium every home game but your forgetting about the seville team was it included henrik who was in all recent generation fans eyes is the greatest celtic player ever,he was a hero,he put bums on seats,we havent had that since he left,it makes a big difference when it comes to going to games {Ed007's Note - Personally I go to support the team, not individual players. Players come and go but CFC is always there, no matter who is wearing the jersey. Plus it still had nothing to do with Sly's money, which was my point.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Of course we go to support the team but you also need a jinky, dalglish, Nicholas, lubo or henrik to watch.celtic fans love a hero and we haven't had one since henrik left he alone put thousands onto the attendance

Watch this space young forest is gona get his big break this season its only my oppinion but i think he will be up ther with the legends by the next two years if given the chance ,jodrok

Does anyone else think that Luka Modric is overated. I think he is a good player but not the outstanding player he is made out to be.

Last season he scored 4 goals and 4 assists with 3 goals and 2 assists the season before.

Hardly outstanding statistics for a creative midfield player.

Celtic Team Next Year

Forster
Mathews - K.Wilson - Mulgrew - Izzy

Wanyama

Brown - Kayal - Ledley - Henriksen

J. Rhodes

INS:

Henriksen- 3/4m
Rhodes- 5m

OUTS:

Hooper- 8m

would sell hooper as he is good playe
er but rhodes will score a barrowful of goals for us and hooper will go next year anyway. Also henriksen is a quality young player who will flourish under lennon----OJ

Believable1 Unbelievable7

Would like to keep Hooper if possible and team him up with Rhodes if we sign him, hopefully if we get through the champions league qualifier it will persuade Hooper to sign a new deal, I would rather have two strikers that can score over 20 goals per season than one. johnbhoy79

Agree5 Disagree0

Stokes has scored 20 goal plus in both seasons he's been at Celtic , yes i'd sign Rhodes , but i'd get rid of Bangura , Murphy and Rasmussen not Hooper , i'd definately sign Henriksen to replace Ki .

The clubs history provides incidents of controvercy, favouritism and conspiraqcy theories involving our governing body = not to mention questionable referees.
But here we have the SFA,SPL and SFL openly and brazenly blackmailing and bribing it's member clubs to suit their own agenda.
I would have hoped that The Celtic would have been more vocal and pro=active in condemming these corrupt, biased imposters.
If there ever was a time to flex our muscle and clean up this shower of sh*te, it is now.
Failing that we should seek alternatives, as we cannot be seen to condone this.
This has been mishandled from the very start by incompetent and unwilling clowns who were unable to make the correct, tough decisions that their salaries and power dictates

Jungle Jim.

Believable8 Unbelievable3

I don't see why Celtic should get involved, all we would get is the usual paranoid sh1t stirrers accusations thrown at us.

the spl, sfl, and sfa are doing a great job of making themselves look incompetent

Agree4 Disagree0

I think we should be fair from what i`ve heard its not the sfl trying to bully anyone just sfa and spl. SFL cheif seems be holding out against pressure just to let the newco into div1. Appartently sfl clubs sick of the bullying and threats so we`ll see where it gets them.

Agree1 Disagree0

Sally's radiant grin is back so no doubt he's playing the usual paranoia card to the
sfl teams "vote us in or else"

Agree Jungle Jim

These so called leaders of Scottish fitba should have had the stones to make a call and then stood by it. The lack of a quick and firm Rangers decision has done nothing but allow heaps of abuse to be thrown towards Rangers supporters and made a mockery of their CV. All of which I believe was and is, totally unnecessary. If there's anyone who should be held accountable for their actions, I would like to think it should be people who are in positions of leadership

According to Mr Green he paid £2.75m to buy the contracts and registrations of the clubs players. That's not the issue though it's the alleged sale of Ibrox Murray Park and the car park for £1.5m pppfft. Something not right ~ Mrs E

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Mrs E as a Rangers supporter I totally agree with you, strange the fee paid only covers duff and duffers bill. P

Agree3 Disagree0

Mrs E, my guess is that it's to partly avoid SDLT (stamp duty land tax) on the property.

Sevco paid £5.5m to Duff & Phelps, split as follows:

The Property Assest (Ibrox, Murray Park & The Albion - £1.5m.

Contracts & Registrations - £2.75m.

Other assets £1.25m

If Sevco had paid say £4.5m (I believe this was the valuation figure for the property assests in the CVA report) for the property assets and £500k for other assets and £500k for the contracts and registrations, then they would have been due to pay 4% SDLT on the £4.5m, which would equate to £180k.

Using the above example, Sevco will have saved £120k in SDLT.

I'm not saying that this is definetly what they have done, but this type of structure is used in transactions where property forms only part of the assets so as to reduce the SDLT payment.

In any event, I'm sure BDO will look at this in their investigation (which they are legally bound to do) when they are appointed as liquidators.

K-Dot.

Agree4 Disagree0

Well as stamp duty is a tax, it wouldn't surprise me.

However, why did D&P sell it for this price. If you are paying millions for land/property then paying 4% in stamp duty shouldn't be that much of an issue.

It just doesn't make sense to me. Mrs E

REF: "have you not heard of online banking" from POB....
Yes I have, but as you know, the question I asked you was about this small bank Metro and getting ordinary access to it, from what I heard this bank had diffilculty getting direct debits, etc organised and your ex club had no overdraft facilities.
As to your other comment, we Tims are not inferior to anybody, not even
the ex "ra peepil". I suggest you look up definition of word "loyal" your ex club's fans use your own "loyalty" does not even extend to helping your ex club when they need you most. I also predict about 50,000 "loyal" fans being absent from Ibrokes next season. When money is asked for all your "loyalty" goes out the window.
Timalloy
PS oh POB please mind the gap between your ex club and Kelty Hearts who have 3 times your ex clubs budget LOL

Believable7 Unbelievable2

What are you on Tim?
You are nothing but a Sh*t stirring wee rascal.
I notice you have posted seperately from your original post,is this to deflect away from the lame points you were struggling to make,or because you were made to look like a complete nincompoop?
In regard to your coment about "We Tims are not inferior" etc. I never made any comment regarding this. You did!
Usual twisted unalduterated attempt by you to stir up conflict, where none exists.
You really are a silly wee boy. Grow up!
P.O.B. {Ed007's Note - LMAO @ nincompoop.}

Just to say that I was really up for going and supporting my local team when Celtic play away from home next season. However I feel really p****d off at my local club (Dumbarton) for saying that they will vote them into the Div 1. they've shot them selves in the foot right there.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

I'm from Dumbarton mate and I wouldn't watch them If they played in my back
