Realise a few have said it already but I cannot wait for these qualifiers to be over. Always want to get behind the national team but the performances always leave me somewhere between underwhelmed and gutted. Got a bit of excitement about the England game but it's all just a frustrating distraction from club football. Really looking forward to us getting back in it, hopefully running away a bit in the league and getting enough over the BMG games to make post Xmas European football a possibility. Also interested to see how the City v Barcelona ties go. Wouldn't be surprised to see Barcelona run riot against them at Now Camp. All seems a bit more interesting than hoping we don't mess up in Slovakia.

I'm the same, love our country, can't get excited about the national team in the same way as watching Celtic.
Always want the team to win, always support them but hardly ever watch.

Agree davie but at least it's gave a few of the bhoys a good rest like broony and some others that aren't involved with the internationals it's been hectic for the euro qualifiers.

Have to say, i'm a big scotland fan, used to love strolling down to hampden from Castlemilk in the 80s and 90s. we were punching above our weight then and we had a good squad.
i'm a realist though and i never expect much, as much as i love being scottish. I always think the fans expect too much, that's just my opinion. Celtic will always be my one true love though.

i wouldn't say we were punching above our weight back in the 80's we do have a glass jaw at the moment the fact wales and norn iron got to the euro's and we didn't is a disgrace in my opinion.

I think we have been disappointed by Scotland so many times and when team is poor too many good players pull-out (our players included) that many of us have become apathetic towards the team. Add the fact that the SFA appear to work against Scottish football and not for its benefit and it's a why bother situation at times. I used to love the internationals but struggle at the moment to rouse enthusiasm.

When you look at the lack of ability the bigoted clowns who run Scottish Football have and the only objective they seem to have, keeping Sevco/ Rangers as near to the top of the Spfl as possible, is it any wonder that Scotland struggles to have a winning football team.

I think what I hate most about the qualifiers and what's worn me down over the years is the media circus with England.
Everything they do is highlighted tenfold and blown over the top.
It's generally the only weeks I avoid sky sports news.

I think at the minute Scotland have a msnager in WGS who believes in a system and tries to pick players that will fit his system, instead of playing a system that will fit the best Scottish players availabld, after his abyssmal flop in the euro qualification, it should have been, thanks Gordon and goodbye.

I think it's fair to say wee gordon will be leaving the scotland job fairly soon he seems to be doing the same as he done with celtic playing players out of position and generally not going for in form players as someone has already said now for me it boggles my brain as to why that martin guy played he has a very poor goal scoring record at the moment also how does he fit into the system when Rhodes doesn't?

Gordon didn't want to hurt his feelings by leaving him out, because he was outstanding against lithuania, and him and the rest of the players were sacrificing their valuable time to play for scotland without getting paid.
