Just wondering that on another thread Timalloy. Maybe they didn't want to risk a half-fit player with the second leg so soon after the first? Can't be losing Mikel now.

Thought both KT and Christie were outstanding last night but have to say I thought the best player on the park was John McGinn. Outstanding young player would really love to see him playing in the hoops. Could easily be Broonies long term replacement and with Armstrong likely to be off next summer would be good to see him partner Broonie for a couple of years.

I didn't expect anything from the game. I thought we were in for a hiding if I'm honest.
Mcginn looked keen and not out of place considering his international experience. Liked Christie as well, ran about all night, didn't hide, tracked back a bit and beat a few quality players. That sprint back to block that through ball was excellent (hope that was Christie lol) . little tweaks needed but I'm looking forward to having him in the squad for next season. Will really take a bit of pressure off and give us options. Think we could of got a result from our chances with a team reported as a ticket punt. Holland wanted a scalp after yet another playoff friendly. Pot kettle black ;) .
I'll never tire of the wee toad, the napoleon Hitler hybrid in a suit, blood pressure through the roof raging at his team.

Think the season at Aberdeen will do him the world of good he's coming on great and will be a great addition next season.

With Armstrong Brown mgregor ntcham kouassi christie . and youngsters like hill Johnstone Henderson would mginn be a starter or another bench warmer . we've already spent 8 million on ntcham and kouassi would the 4 _ 5 million hibs seem to want not be better spent on the gk ch positions.

I read a thread on here yesterday criticising the length of ban the Falkirk player got for verbally abusing Dean Shiels and I was disappointed by the thread.
What was there to criticise? Was it because Shiels is an ex Sevco player?
This young lad lost an eye at age 8 and in my mind anyway, courageously overcame it to become a professional football player. I think the Falkirk player got off LIGHTLY.
And to the boy Shiels pay no attention to these idiots.

I also think the ban was a Tate excessive, I bet a lot worse has been said in an old firm game also did matteratzi get a ban for having nasty words with zidane? . I DO NOT CONDONE what was said what so ever but a young guy in the heat of the moment has crossed the line, this should be a 1 or 2 match ban and a fine from his club then a line drawn under the incident. The fact he's an ex hun has no bearing on my decision.

If I remember the thread was implying that jack the new Scotland international was given a reprieve even though in clear sight of most officials and the cameras. He kicked out and flung an opponent to the ground but this act of near gbh was flung out by zombie Sevco sympathising appeals panel. The Falkirk boy even how disgusting his actions were they were only words and gets an 8 game ban? Think that was the point they were trying to get across?

There are certain things in life you can say and certain things you cant.

Sheils has a "disability" and its really not okay to attack someone verbally over a disability.

I get it, but this wasn't idle banter, the guy lost control and let his mouth open.

It falls into the same category as racism, it could even be prosecuted by the rossers.

4 / 8 / 12 match ban is all they could dish out, I think they got it right with an 8 match ban.

whether the rules need to change, another story but they guy crossed a line he shouldn't cross, its all about respect.

also I didn't read the other post as belittling the offence by the player, more slagging off the "justice" system in Scottish fitba

which we all know is a joke,

What’s the difference to calling someone a fat bastard, or specky whatever, I think your over dramatising this a bit, and you will find worse things said at any school, this country is a nanny state as it is.

11 Nov 2017 08:36:33
Got to agree with memaself it's a man's game you get worse at school Pc gone mad so is calling ginger people a crime now calling someone fat is that a crime calling a man with one eye a one eyed c##t it's not nice but true 8 games for saying something like that is ridiculous 2 would have been more than enough if he had booted him up the arse he would have got less games I think that's the point the original post was meaning physically you get less games than verbal.

Agree0 Disagree1

11 Nov 2017 12:31:09
As gordo says the thug in the blue shirt is over physical maybe not gbh but if a copper saw that in the street at 3 am as a club comes out kicking a guy then throwing him to the ground he would be done but in Scottish football the officials see it it’s on camera for all to see but for whatever reason he is let off? But a guy making a verbal insult gets 8 games a bit lop sided? And I played Saturday morning Glasgow amateur football for years so no uj never brought up in a monestry 🍀.

Anybody else think selling Izziagurie (excuse the spelling) in hindsight was a mistake. Tierney looks great at center back! Might have allowed Lustig to stay at right back for our big euro games. he never let us down! Just a thought.

We tried to keep him mate but he wanted first team football to keep himself in the Honduras team. Great guy to have around but he chose to leave for football reasons, can't blame him really.

Izzy was a geat servant to our club and a great guy, I remember being in the players lounge the day we beat Aberdeen 9-0 and he was lovely to my wee boy pics, autographs etc more than I can say for KAPO! remember him? Marc Crossas actually gave him a dig in the ribs and made him sign my wee boys program never forgot that day.

no recognised cover at lb and cb

that's bad management of the squad or funds not given by board.

I hope BR was asked if Scotland could play his no1 asset as a cb risking injury from Berra!

Always loved Emilio and was really sorry to see him head to the house of Saud. Definitely times this year I've thought about him and even Efe! But you can't go back.

Any notion why Lustig isn't involved with Sweden tonite, on a related note?

63 games unbeaten domestically is surely a sign of bad management of squad .
If only we could get a decent manager all our problems would be solved .
I imagine B R would allow his requests for new players to be brushed aside easily by board .

in mid july when we could have bought defensive cover we didn't but we are now in mid November and still playing with a make shift defence - which makes the record even more remarkable - but records don't mean chet.

the league was won before we kicked a ball, even the bookies paid out. 2 cups would be nice. But we could have lost out on cl and we not even have a recognised back 4 by the time we play Anderlecht.

whodathought, me - I said it then and still saying it now because its a risky practise.

His final boy was shocking but he was still a better left back than Biton is a center back Campsie bhoy.

11 Nov 2017 00:57:01
Aye Bitton is a terrible centre half, the amount of goals Celtic concede when he is centre half compared to when he isn't is really unbelievable .
You wouldn't think that Bitton plays in front of a terrible goalkeeper and a right back who is finished and a bomb scare centre back .
Description of keeper, right back and fellow centre half is not mine, but that of those who know more than B R.
