red smoke swirling around Anfield tonight. Not much being said about it by media (I guess its not a flare or smoke bomb then? )

Believable1 Unbelievable4

{Ed007's Note - I don't know if Liverpool have an official Panty Wetters and Asthmatic supporters club. Do you think all the Scousers will be all over the internet demanding the culprits are found, charged with assault and banned for life from Anfield? :=o

11 Mar 2016 07:26:11
Did all the Celtic fans do that Ed?

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - After last night's game? I doubt it, and why would they?}

11 Mar 2016 08:09:12
I doubt it Ed, it appears that these groups you talk of are only prevalent within our own support. This is another reason I dislike Lawwell, as he has marginalised a group of our fans and has turned somne fans against them.

Agree0 Disagree2

11 Mar 2016 10:33:13
I agree about PL and pantywetters. But will EUFA do anything?
Quick enough to come down on the smaller clubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - No they won't. I'm fed up saying it but it's about time the club started fighting back for the fans when it comes to things like this. Lawwell appears to be more interested in keeping things cosy for himself at UEFA and the ECA than fighting in our corner.}

11 Mar 2016 14:33:51
Ed are you saying UEFA have a track record of punishing some clubs for smoke bombs/ flares and not others?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I have heard such murmurings, Jim but there's a distinct lack of photographic evidence. It's not like there's hundreds of pictures out there showing pyro displays that make anything our supporters have done look like somebody lighting a fag up.}

11 Mar 2016 14:53:05
Understandable that, but it wouldn't surprise me if the beaks weren't to upset the click too.

Just watched the Man U game there . Similarities between them and Celtic quite frightening .

Believable2 Unbelievable3

{Ed007's Note - It's the complete polar opposite in fact, Bobby. Utd are stagnating with an outdated dinosaur like LVG in charge and behind the scenes their facilities, academy and youth set up have been neglected for years. It'll take Utd years and hundreds of millions of investment to catch up with City's set up. Paul Scholes, RVP, Darren Fletcher and Phil Neville are just a few Utd players who have had their sons at City's academy in recent years with some of them still there.
Finally for the first time in years we are moving forward and catching up with other clubs when it comes to the same factors. There's nobody in Scotland can match the facilities or the quality of staff we have working at the club, it would cost millions to catch up and no other club in Scotland has that kind of money to invest in their infrastructure.}

12 Mar 2016 07:00:06
It's a shame we can't replicate all that off-field superiority on it.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 21:58:14
Think we could see the beginning of a change of power in England now

Man U going backwards

Leicester be a one season wonder

Arsenal blow hot and cold IMO.

Possibly mate, I think Tottenham are the most improving team. I honestly think though the league is totally overrated - it's exciting to watch but technically very average! Tottenham played a weaker team, still they got a doing, and that's 2 years in a row Chelsea have lost to PSG. The German and French leagues are good but not as good as the Spanish - look at the amount of teams they still have in Europe. Serie A 20 years ago was better than the English Premier League is now, I think that sums it up!

Agree0 Disagree1

10 Mar 2016 23:14:17
Sure that is all going to change within a couple of seasons . The wealthy clubs and maybe some that were wealthy are going away to form a breakaway union with similar clubs in the big football nations of Europe . Like it is totally wrong that just because Chelsea can't play football this season, the Russian money cannot be made use of πŸ˜€.

Agree0 Disagree1

10 Mar 2016 23:19:00
Man United have been on the decline for years even with fergie in charge. arsenal have been like that for as long as I can remember except the invisibles season in all honesty the epl isn't much better than the Scottish premier league just they pay ridiculous wages and transfers and know how to build there game wish our media would try do the same.

Agree0 Disagree1

11 Mar 2016 06:18:17
Agree with Delphic on this. The most over-rated league in the world today. I can't see how Sly will ever recoup the billions they splurged on it. TV is changing, with loads of websites where you can stream the games for free if you desire and these will become more and more common. I used to get a wee bit excited at the thought of settling down to an English Prem match. I couldn't care less about it now. Even the 'excitement' of Leicester's amazing season just highlights how cash rich club's paying massive wages are being ripped off by mediocre players masquerading as superstars.

11 Mar 2016 11:51:49
There is a culture in EPL of buying players, who won't improve squad to eliminate competition in league from other clubs and to stop rivals buying that player. Likes of wilifred bony etc.

Ridicolous the amount of money in that league. Praying Leicester win league. Apparently best league in world πŸ”«.

I cannot believe that only 8 drug tests have been carried out in Scottish football. Do teams carry out in house tests
No wonder players are not reaching potential they have no deterrent in stopping them going out and getting wired
Plus the easily accessible performance drugs must also be readily available.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

10 Mar 2016 21:03:04
Well if they're using performance drugs they're not working. That's got to come from the manager - body tests are done, you would also be able to tell if players weren't doing it in training, and to be fair Ronny is on top of that! The problem is ability and tactics!

Agree0 Disagree2

10 Mar 2016 23:16:19
Delphic any perforrmance enhancing drug producers would be looking to sue anyone in Scotland who has used them as they clearly aren't working.

Agree0 Disagree1

10 Mar 2016 23:20:05
I think the main drug is cocaine not going to help you with football.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Were all 8 tests done on Garry O'connor? (whew) I had to be careful which name I used there.}

11 Mar 2016 09:17:58
I read the names of the 1s caught up here and never heard of any apart from other o'Connor.

Has the date been set to play sevco ED?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - Not yet.}

10 Mar 2016 12:27:34
Whatever date it is I reckon I'll be shopping with the wife that day and I hate shopping. :p.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 13:20:36
Cheers ED, some sevconian in my work had said it was the 16th! Be surprised if it's not the Sunday! Monday's booked off from work regardless! Lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 14:36:17
Yeah your a good supporter rabmac already making an excuse not to watch your team in a semi final. Maybe your not a supporter?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 16:57:55
Jim I know a guy who used to have a season ticket and would go to every game except Old firm games simply because he couldn't handle the stress, he wouldn't even watch on telly or listen to radio, he used to take the dug a long walk until game was over. Mind you that was the days of the corrupt Rangers not this tribute act we"re playing next month.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 17:02:33
Rabmac thought you were going to say I"ll be shopping with the wife that day and I hate the wife..lol

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 17:11:09
Guys we all know the tribute act fans are so gullible they swallow anything the media tell them, myself and the girls will not be attending either as when we beat them, comfortably 3-0 or 4-0 they will revert to type and the "Chelsea casuals" will surface again. That is why we are staying clear no other reasons.

Agree2 Disagree1

10 Mar 2016 17:26:15
Stevie I can understand people who get stressed about the game but rabmac isn't meaning that he's trying to insinuate he doesn't care about them IMO. Ps I understand why people keep away from this fixture but I'll be there and just follow my usual routine to avoid meeting the neds who want trouble.

What number am I thinking of Jim1972?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 18:46:16
Ok jimtim I don't claim to be a psychic but I can still have an opinion on a post what do you think he meant about making arrangements for a game in 5weeks time for sat/ sun?
Ps why is timalloy not mocked for being psychic about telling us we will beat them comfortably 3or4 nil?
Perhaps I should be like some on here and become an ostrich and say I don't care about themπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 19:01:37
I hope they don't take as long telling us the date as they did for the Morton match.
I can't see why they take so long over these things. I know it doesn't matter for this match, but I can't see how your supposed to attract people to football when they can't even tell them when games are going to be played.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 19:02:16
I have no idea what Rab meant, apart from that he wasn't planning on watching. I wouldn't come to any conclusion as to why he wasn't unless he said so, especially not the old sh*tty questioning somebodies support gag. I'm 100% certain RabMac supports the tic. You've lost me with the ostrich bit?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 20:05:56
Again not rocket science for me auld strathcyde's finest will have had the final say never mind the TV channels so that rules out the Saturday so it does not spill over into the pubs that night

Which leaves the Sunday and again kicking in the common sense factor they will kick off as early as possible to prevent people getting tanked up before k o SIMPLES really (y)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - 12.30 on the Sunday would be my guess too.}

10 Mar 2016 20:12:23
Timalloy don't blame you. Personally I wouldn't give that mob the attention they crave by attending game. It won't happen but would be great if there was an attendance lower than Morton game, solely for the purpose of letting them know they are nothing special. Just a run of the mill second tier team.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 20:27:54
Perhaps you should try and Think out the box and if you don't know what is meant you have to read between the lines. Ps that doesn't mean there is actual lines😳.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 20:40:18
Definitely lost me. No bother. Probably didn't mean much anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 20:53:18
DN30,I wouldn't knock anyone who doesn't want to go to that game because they feel threatened or intimidated, it's a stinking rotten fixture, but my reason for going to matches is to support Celtic, not to make the other team feel important.
I'm sure the hordes at the other end of Hampden spewing their bile against us will not be there out of any respect for us.
I will be there to hopefully see Celtic wipe the floor with them.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 21:04:45
You'll have to pardon my ignorance jim. Instead of leaving me to think out the box or read between lines you could have saved me a bit of searching there. I wasn't familiar with the idiom about ostriches hiding from apparentness. You may be right, some people may be kidding on that they don't care about Rangers, but some might be genuine. Guess there's no way of telling really. I'll say it, I still think of them as the same Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 21:25:02
I'll be very shocked if they don't go with the 12.30 on a Sunday! as u say Jamie the police won't want a Saturday fixture!

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 21:55:42
Yeah Ryan for sure mate (y) Ed was right about you btw you're a decent poster on here (Just don't tell him because he is big heided enough lol)

Seen you on the other side talking sense too bud saying we had a big quality squad (y)

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 22:12:35
Gerryc there's nothing wrong with that mate. To be honest your right, that is the main thing πŸ‘.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 23:21:57
I would imagine 12.30 Sunday, I am glad that there are no more Old Firm matches, as I too got too stressed out watching them . Remarkable how generous the SFA have been to us this season, all the way to the final against lower League teams and it's possible that we could also play a lower league team in the final.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2016 23:22:22
Let's all be honest, the genuine sensible person in us all acknowledges they are a new club, we wouldn't miss them and were better off without them .
However it's football and as my partner continually tells me, I'm a different person watching Celtic, she's actually shocked how bad I am . I want them back, new club or not, still the same narrow minded people support them and when I have my battle head on there is nothing better in the world than beating them ba **ards . I feel like a different person, over the moon. Then my baby cries and it's back to normal life . My point is nothing ever makes me feel better than beating those . I love being someone else who doesn't think rationally for 90 mins.

11 Mar 2016 07:21:35
Haha dunno if a said quality big aye 😜.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Mar 2016 08:21:04
@. Stevie - I was going to say that mate but was scarred the missus saw it lol.

@Jim1972 - You obviously did not notice that my comment was tongue and cheek and not meant to be taken literally. I was merely highlighting the point that I do not see what the big excitement was over playing a newco from a lower league.

10 Mar 2016 07:48:24
Hi ed only way if Europe was back to the old way we wouid need see new UEFA president if he or she can see sense bout bringing it back if the so called breakaway proposal got go ahead then other associations will just Resgin from UEFA if I had my way I wouid have cup winners cup Back also all 3 finals on a Saturday night open draw in all tournament no qualifier rounds because ones got to qualify they ain't getting much of a pre season.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - I would love to see CWC back and Champions League and Europa League revert to the old knockout two leg system.}

10 Mar 2016 19:08:12
So wouid I ed am only hoping that new UEFA president can see sense to it even that is a slim hope.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - depends on how many brown envelopes fly around lol.}

10 Mar 2016 19:21:01
Aye lol corruption UEFA are I won't be surprised if they get raided next.
