Guys anyone know why this boy still hasn't been announced. Surprised if he has had medical etc what's the hold up. Excited about the lad coming in, looks a solid player physically. Regarding Armstrong I think personally he will be sold if he is messing Celtic and rodgers around. I know he is a great player, but let's remember he had one outstanding season because of rodgers input I think. He may go on to have many great seasons, but maybe he is become big headed, and thinks he is better than Celtic. Just my opinion, could be completely wrong, and he will sign, but something isn't right a feel.

If he wants away sell him, Even if we also sell Bitton and GMS also we still have Brown, McGregor, Kouassi, Benyu, Rogic, Sinclair, Hayes, Forrest and Ntchem with hopefully wee paddy coming back.
I honestly don't see us struggling if he goes.

Patience Grasshopper! Oh yee of little faith. We have never been this strong pre season for many years. Im sure Rodgers and the board will improve the squad and sort out any transfer dealings. Lawell will stick to his role and leave the football side to Rodgers and the backroom staff.

Would have liked to see him get a game on Friday but it won't happen. I really want to see how Kouassi turns out. Also would not drram of risking Brown in this one. No need. Let him recover 100% from the knock. This will be 3-0 minimum.

Johnny, Kouassi not kicked a ball pre season as far as I can remember so can't see him feature but like you Ntcham in for me they have left a space open for him in the opening CL pool (y)

I know a lot of fans don't like forrest but I think he's been the sharpest player i pre season . imo he had a good season last year maybe just maybe his I Just problems have finally cleared up . and the penny has finally dropped as to what he has to do to in the team.

Deep river, I agree with you. I think Forrest is a smashing player. He will have a few average games but he has the capacity to be brilliant. Get off his back. Better than any other SPL winger.

Find him too lazy to be a great player. Tends to too often nonchalanly drift inside and play a meaningless square ball and not run into space. You look at Sinclair on the other wing and his movement. If he mimics his movement he will score a lot more goals.

{Ed007's Note - For me it was the same old same old from Forrest and I know I'm harsh on him but that season just showed again his inconsistency and dips in form which led to him being dropped and Roberts taking his place. I am open to keeping Forrest now but definitely only as a squad player and back up to someone else. I'll grudgingly admit he's a good enough squad player, but that's it.}

The problen with Forrest is that he has no neck, so he can't look up when he's crossing. he's superb at finding pound coins on the pitch though.

Think the Ntcham signing could easily see MD happy to hang around for another year mate, Another countryman to hang around in downtime mate who he will surely know from Under level? Same formula would apply to Duverene then much easier to make that transition with familiarity / common interests / background / age in place

I seen a couple of pics of Ntcham and Dembele together playing for France together so they've known each other for a good few years considering how skinny Dembele looks in them and that always helps new players to settle and keeps players here content. Hopefully Dembele will see the Ntcham signing as a signal of the Club's ambition and he'll want to be a part of that for a while.}

I think its 50/ 50 rrgarding MD moving. He won't go anywhere for less than £20 to £25mill. don't see £30 if he goes this season but a good show in CL msy push him to that next season. Have heard Middelsborough have enquired about Armstrong but we want £10 and they want to pay £6mill. Think he will go somewhere this seadon but would prefer to go abroad and preference is for Germany? don't know why but that's whst I heard. We shall see.

Lukaku 75 million who isn't 3 times better than moussa . so if Everton want moussa to replace a 75 million player then they pay the same or similar.

There's plenty good young french players at present. A few on the fringes and they will be pushing themselves trying to make the french squad for next summers world cup. Hopefully Dembele stays for another year and sees it that way as he could end up on the bench elsewhere and diminish any hopes of making the WC squad. Well put Jamie.

Deep river, can't disagree with your point, but we know where we are in the food chain and we are not at EPL rates. So we have a choice. If we keep players and run down the contracts we get nothing. Our model does not allow for that, unfortunately we need to develop and sell on. That's one of our income streams so know wha t you are saying but our model is to but cheap, develop a bit and sell on. Otherwise our income stream is wiped out.

MD will be sold if we don't qualify, I hope he isn't, and if we do sell him I hope the minimum we accept is £35m, Andy Carroll was sold to Liverpool for £35m over 6 years ago, and we all know who is the better striker.

I'm confident BR can build a strong young team hungry to win trophies, let's ignore the media and wait to see what happens, Marseille will never pay what we want for MD anyway so can't see that happening.
