I guess Celtic were getting too much press and reviews. Website, papers and BBC reporting Warburton has resigned, Now they are reporting he says he has not resigned. Guess the only bad publicity is NO PUBLICITY.

sky are saying the representatives of warburton, weir, and mcparland approached sevco with that if they resigned could they go to another club for no compensation (they've obviously been tapped up by another club) rangers agreed so the 3 of them tendered their resignations which sevco accepted, half an our later sevco told them that the terms of the deal had changed, to which warburton weir and mcparland then said to sevco "if that's the case we haven't resigned" to which sevco responded to them by saying "yes you have" (are you still with me? lol) you just couldn't make this mob up. the gift that keeps on giving lol.

Are sevco trying to play a blinder here? Will they get away with it or will it blow up in their faces?

This reeks of a Dave king fib to me and is trying to get them out the door without a pay off, but i could be wrong and Warburton et al has made a rather costly error rather than it being any of the above, place your bets now as to what the truth is.

Either way you look at it, yet another completely massive embarassment, Im glad this 'Rangers' phoenixed into existence now, from big hands to mr glib its been a barrel of laughs.

Jamesbhoy, Warbs and co got caught out probably by their agent telling them notts forrest job was theirs and then it all went wrong. So they are toast. Problem now is who would take the job? There is no money there. King is trying to run it on the cheap. When they beat us in the cup last year king and co thought they had cracked it.

So the plan was based around winning the league and CL football. that's why Barton and co were brought in. They really thought they could win the SPL. Now reality is here. Celtic making millions Rangers losing millions. King will throw the towel in. Just a matter of when. Love it๐Ÿ˜‚.

The word I'm hearing is that there was no official resignation. MW's agent merely enquired that if an offer came along (why would MW resign without a concrete job offer and no severance agreed) could compensation be waved.

The Rangers board saw this as a chance to dodge the ยฃ1m+ it would take to sack him (they simply can't afford it, they still owe him a promotion bonus! ) and took this as a resignation notice - more dodgy dealings, more enemies within, more turmoil, more laughs for us.

It'll be a tribunal now and I hope all Celtic fans show support for the Magic Hat in taking Rangers to the wall. It would only be respectful. On a side note stick a fiver on Billy Davies.

11 Feb 2017 11:29:14
Should be interesting. If the management team turn up to take training and are turned away then (assuming all previous info was word of mouth and nothing in writing) they can claim they have been dismissed and due severance money (which we know they can't afford)
If everything is verbal then denial will follow.

Ed

I see the weight of fan pressure has backed FSG into banning that The S*n from Anfield.

I would sincerely love to see every other football club follow suit in an act of solidarity. That rag needs brought to its knees.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

{Ed007's Note - It would be fantastic if other clubs came out and done the same things as a sign of support to Liverpool. It's not just The S*n though for me, it's anything connected to that vile reprobate Rupert Murdoch, SKY, Talksport, FOX should all be boycotted and damaged as much as possible. And no decent person should give Piers Morgan any publicity.
I like to believe that there's a special place in Hell for people like those two and Rebekah Brook, that disgusting Hopkins character, Hitler, Savile and his close friends Thatcher and the Windsors etc

10 Feb 2017 19:49:18
You missed james corden ed haha.

{Ed007's Note - I wouldn't say Corden's evil, he's more just an unfunny fat tosser lol.}

10 Feb 2017 19:57:31
i had a good chat with ed001 about it the other day, it was disgusting that they were allowed back into anfield, i remember watching it unfold on tv as we weren't playing until the next day, it still gets to me everytime i see footage of it, i won't ever forget the scouse boys in the jungle sobbing there heart out during the minutes silence at the charity game we played for the 96 at celtic park it was an emotional day.

Agree4 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - A couple of years back I was interviewed via the phone on Liverpool TV during their anniversary coverage about that game at Celtic Park. I think it was Mark Lawrenson that said that day was the day people should have stopped thinking Scots were tight, the money that was being thrown onto the track couldn't be collected fast enough as buckets were emptied into bigger containers or bags so they could use them to go out and pick up more money.}

10 Feb 2017 20:04:03
dont worry ed thatcher is frying for what she done in 81.

i always remember two wee ball bhoys using a big tricolour that had been thrown from the jungle for them to use like a big blanket to catch the money ed.

Agree2 Disagree2

{Ed007's Note - I was brought up to HATE Liverpool mate but it was actually my dad and uncle that took me and my wee cousin to that game and without trying to sound hubristic it never came up why he was taking us - without having to say a word he showed us that some things are more important than football.
And I remember like it was yesterday, when the players and staff of both teams stood round the centre circle I'm sure I caught a tear in my auld boy's eye that day - although I'd never dare have mentioned that.}

10 Feb 2017 21:31:45
Disappointed Ed, you missed that rugrat raggy doll, slack side mouth bomber brown

How can he not speak properly? Every time he opens his mouth he dribbles out side of it you can just tell he is one of them (y)

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I don't like John Brown and I certainly wouldn't lump him in with the likes of Hitler or the Queen. I think hoping anyone goes to Hell just because they're a thick Hun is a bit strong.}

10 Feb 2017 21:46:17
Oh come on tae flock Ed? Is there a worse one or a worse place?

The Mrs must be feeding you to well this weather? You going soft?

Thick is one thing but he beyond the pale of bitter him! Mind he tackled the young ball boy years ago at parkhead injuring the lad!

{Ed007's Note - Queen Elizabeth and her husband, Prince Phillip, were found guilty in the disappearance of ten native children from the Catholic-run Kamloops residential school in British Columbia. Grieving parents havenโ€™t seen their children since they left for a picnic with the Royal couple on Oct. 10 1964.
Hardly in the same league as John Brown being a tit.}

10 Feb 2017 22:14:51
i was the same mate manchester united are my favourite english team (since way back in the 70s when i was at primary school) so i wasn't a liverpool fan but that day taught me that there are more important things than football, i was in the crush as a 16 year old when we played notts forest in the european cup in 83 so it brought back memories when hillsborough happened.

i always remember davie hay running on the pitch to confront brian clough who was trying to throw celtic fans off the park not knowing that a wall had collapsed. hay nearly throttled him as he showed him the collapsed wall, clough had thought we had invaded the pitch to cause trouble, i still have the programmes and ticket stubs from both legs.

Ed any idea how close Kouasse is to making an appearance and how he has shaped up in training? Seems to be nothing coming out of the club on him. Cheers.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - It'll be a while yet before we see Kouassi Eboue in the first team going by Rodgers' words the other week.

โ€œHe wasnโ€™t one I was going to bring in and pitch straight in to the side. He was always going to take time to adapt to the country and fitness. He has not played for a while. He has done a little training and was in Dubai with us, but there were some restrictions with his work permit and stuff.
He has done some work here but I am not putting a timeline on it right now. Weโ€™ll see how he is. The team is doing really well, but he will make it very competitive for places."

10 Feb 2017 21:23:01
Might see a run out against the newbies, should be enough time to get him up to speed. Few early goals to tie it up then sub on LG to bury them and the new lad to chase, bully and break that last bit of resolve. It would be a fantastic introduction.
just a thought.

Hi ed. I posted back in either June or July hat I hoped to see some good free flowing football and the rest of the league showing fear when they came to Celt park. I think that we are well on our way to the free flowing part but the downside of the fear factor is that almost every other team seems t seethe only solution to us now is 11 men behind the ball. I think that we now need a Lubo type t unlock defences and we still need a Really commanding centre half.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

10 Feb 2017 18:50:27
your spot on mate we've never had a playmaker since lubo left, its not as if the money isn't there to buy one, the cash is there now.

I hope BR starts Moussa tomorrow and we put this tie to bed early. I'm expecting caley to park the bus and anything else they can find in front of the goal and hope to catch a break. If they come at us it will be a cricket score. Hoping to win 3 or 4 to nil HH.

Sad to hear that Rogic is out injured for a while after all the previous injuries he's had. I think it's also unfortunate for Ryan Christie as he could have had a run in the team in the CAM position. Once everybody else is fit and up to speed, I'd like to see how a midfield of Brown and Kouassi would do with Armstrong in the number 10 role, although it's more likely McGregor will fill in there for now.

10 Feb 2017 10:16:51
BR talking about if the right deal comes along, we will push the boat out. For me, if we see a "marquee" signing in the summer, it should be a CAM. Rogic is a class act, but his injuries and fitness are a concern. In a 4231/ 433/ 4411 it's that no.10 that is probably THE most important player. Sadly Rogic is a bit unreliable, and I don't think anybody in the squad comes close to his ability in that area of the pitch.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Feb 2017 11:36:44
Said the same to my mates yesterday Jim, if we're going to sign a number 10 why shouldn't it be someone better than rogic. It's progress to get better players to replace the ones we have, we've got the money and Rodgers seems to have the vision and ambition to take us to another level. Rogic is a great player but he does seem injury prone.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Feb 2017 12:00:48
If Rogic gets back quick and proves his fitness, I'd be happy with him as first pick, knowing he still has time to improve further. But there'll be a big question mark over him as coming back from surgery can go two ways really.

But you're right Steph, if Rogic is kept out the side on merit by another player, we'll be a stronger team. Rogic would be a great player to bring on, and as touched on, he still has the time to force his way in as first pick.

We could really do with two wing forwards as well mind, and I'd still like to see another GK. Defence and CM we're OK.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Feb 2017 13:37:29
His fitness is my only concern. He's got all the ability to make a top player but he's got to be on the park to show it.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Feb 2017 13:53:44
Exactly Steph.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Feb 2017 21:56:09
A lot of players get hit with injuries in their younger days and toughen up through it (don't mean that in the awful way Sevco are using it against Kieran mind! ) putting the injuries behind them and kicking on. Really hope that's the case for Rogic for his own sake as much as the club's as he's a marvel when on form. Would be a real shame for his career to fizzle out.
