I was wondering if anyone noticed the articles in todays papers regarding rangers signing a 35 year old free agent. It appears that this guy is going to turn around rangers season and help them to win the league. Where is the consistency in the media, i remember a few years back when Celtic signed a 34 year old Slovakian genius (Lubo) we were slaughtered from all sides . It just shows that the press are willing this guy to be a success.

Remember it very well
back page said
Lubo Who?

Lubo (trap the ball with my erse against hearts) feckn Moravcik
thats who .
the man was the most skill full player ive ever seen in the hoops.
IMHO Paul McStay was untill Lubo joined

Lubo25

Agree2 Disagree2

The abuse Celtic and Lubo got from the press before he had even played a game was unbelievable.

Agree2 Disagree1

Saw Lubo taking a corner at Celtic Park and a fan close to the corder flag started singing "Lubo, Lubo", and worshiping him with the hand jestures. He lent over a bit too far and fell over the hoarding onto the side of the pitch. Alan Thomson was waiting for a short corner, but was p1shing himself laughing so much Lubo had to hold up the corner.

Agree1 Disagree1

Lubo25 (bhaldrick?) I heard that Cousin has been given Weir's bus pass and heating allowance to save Whyte even more money LOL Timalloy

Agree2 Disagree1

Sure is Timalloy bud

as for Cousin and Weir
its like Jack replacing Victor ;)

Lubo25

Agree2 Disagree1

When Celtic signed 33 year old Slovakian football genius Lubomir Moravcik for £300,000 , Rangers signed 34 year old Scottish carthorse Colin Hendry for £4m , so your point is ? Daniel Cousin should not be mentioned in the same sentence as Lubo , he couldn't get out of Ibrox quick enough last time round .

in my opinion both celtic and rangers need each other. if rangers go bust it would make the spl worst if thats possible! and our european rating would also drop. i also think it is funny the state rangers are in as they did us when we were in trouble a few years back, but to be honest we would be lost without them! if there was no old fim games to look forward to, not being able to wynd them up when we beat them. dominating scotish football, winning the league year after year and with no challenge at all would have no glory! and would very quickly become mundane. i agree they do derserve what they get but do really hope that they survive, if they do survive we should still be able to dominate as they will be skint for a few years while paying off there debt. whats your opinion Ed?

BarryBhoy {Ed007's Note - I can't see Rangers not surviving Barry but they must be punished accordingly if they have done wrong. If that does mean liquidation why should the SPL or anyone help them, Scottish football will go on. I think your idea is more likely, a few years of Rangers sorting themselves out and then coming back.}

ED007 got my serious head on, I know you know a lot about Manchester United, in your opinion after the John Terry thing, do you think Patrice Evra will shake Luis Suarez hand? Is there pressure being put on him to do so, to try and get this sad affair ended? {Ed007's Note - I think it has been 'suggested' that they shake hands to help try and draw a line under it. I actually think Suarez has been hit pretty hard for what he done, he used a common term/word in his own language at Evra, a word that Evra is known amongst Man Utd players by I may add. Suarez made a racist remark by British standards, he is not a racist, even Evra has said this. JT made racist comments by anyone's standards.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I'd have to disagree with you there Edster, IMO Suarez is a real piece of work. I would leave it up to Evra if he wants to shake his hand it should be up to him. I certainly wouldn't touch the guy apart from a few tasty tackles I think we might see 2moro.
Cb {Ed007's Note - I don't like Suarez, he has history of bad behaviour, but I think the Evra situation was blown out of proportion. Evra is well known around OT by the word Suarez used. It is more a cultural thing than racism.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Yes I agree with you there his home land Uruguay is pretty behind the times with the latest cultures shall we say?
Cb {Ed007's Note - It is also a very common word in Spain.}

Agree0 Disagree1

This would be @@gro yeah?
Cb {Ed007's Note - Negrito was the word used CB. I don't condone racism in anyway but when a guy gets an 8 match ban for calling someone what he is commonly called by team mates it stinks a bit. I know Evra is called this by certain players at Utd, and there is no problem.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Ed what about all the rest he allegedly said
like when evra asked y he was kicking him he said cause your black,

or i dont speack to blacks

gunner&atim {Ed007's Note - Don't take this the wrong way mate, I had weeks of this on the Utd site and don't want to get into it all again. Like I said on there, luckily the majority of us Scots don't 'do' racism, we have enough problems up here. I just thought it was a bit harsh and a bit media driven with Suarez, and there is no love lost in my feelings for LFC.}

Agree0 Disagree1

No worries ed, neither a united or pool fan as u cn probz guess lol was curious

‘Daniel Cousin deal could turn title race in our favour’ says Ally McCoist

RANGERS manager Ally McCoist believes that the return of Daniel Cousin could switch the momentum of the SPL title race back in the Ibrox club’s favour at a crucial stage of the season.

Now I know a lot of people have been feeling sorry for fat sally but I think it is to late to save him now. A 35 year old who has no club was no good previously and now he is going to win them the league.

Their coming to take you away Sally. I see the man with the whyte coat and strait jacket now.
