hi Ed I been hearing that john Collins and john kennedy to be sacked in the morning to be replaced with peter grant and roy Aitken is there any truth in this story?

Take Ronny with them.

With Fulham not having a manager yet I doubt it as peter grant in caretaker there at the moment.

Big aitken is out in the Middle East making big bucks is he not? Can't see that Happnin! Well that's the European campaign over for another year! The 1st time ever we Havnt won in group stages of European football! And also still on course to equal the all time EL record of consecutive games without a win! 28 games all in European matches with 4 victories! Not even counting the wins against the part timers of Iceland! 4 wins in 28 games is an atrocious record! We were asked to judge in a year and that time has arrived! Time for the manager and back room team to go! This man cannot be allowed to take us into Europe again, he simply hasn't got it! And it's there in black and white! Awful!

Agree9 Disagree4

11 Dec 2015 00:25:32
Au would think it is complete nonsense .
Some people think that Kennedy and Collins are to blame for Celtic's results in Europe although I haven't seen either make a mistake and concede goals or miss sitters.

Agree2 Disagree2

11 Dec 2015 00:47:47
Said before say again would like stevie Clarke here as coach.

Agree2 Disagree1

11 Dec 2015 23:03:40
Why Stevie Clarke? What successful experience has Clarke have in Europe without massive pockets of money. Nobody could be sure any manager or assistant manager that we bring in is guaranteed to be a success.

Look at LVG spends in excess of £200m net and doesn't qualify for Champions League last 16 and fans not happy with style of play. A couple of years ago he was rated as one of the very best of Managers.

How many costly mistakes does craig gordon have to make before he is dropped.

10 Dec 2015 18:57:02
Ronny will get the blame for Gordon's mistake.

Agree2 Disagree2

10 Dec 2015 19:05:21
Ronny will get the blame for picking him. And rightly so.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 19:09:52
As I've said on here many times I was never a fan and used to look forward to playing against him because for every two or three saves there is always a howler and at a team like Celtic howlers cost you big games.
I also think Johansen and Bitton are rank rotten as well, losing possession time and time again.
However, apart from their superior possession, we were doing ok until the mandatory comedy error - that will lift them as much as it deflates us.
Unfortunately Ciftci is showing why we need to get a striker in January but Boyata had a decent first half along with a few others like McGregor, Tierney and Simunovic.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Simunovic is looking better and more settled in every game he plays.}

10 Dec 2015 19:15:42
Can only assume Woods and Deila doon't rate Bailly. I couldn't care how they do in training, there's no way Bailly could make as many howlers is there?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 19:30:45
That's the weakest and poorest Celtic side I've seen for years, from the bombs scare keeper, to cifti absolutely useless, and if any bids £10m for biton I'd bite there hand off, but agree big simunovic and boyata looking lot better.

Agree3 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 19:45:56
Looks like Commons might have got a point out of it. Unless CG has other ideas.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - That was a good claim for a penalty too.}

10 Dec 2015 20:58:59
The annoying thing is, we're not far behind molde, fenerbache, or Ajax, if we had scored more and conceded less we would have topped the table 😂😂.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - We scored more goals than both Ajax and Fenerbahce.}

10 Dec 2015 21:35:32
so would you say that we need to give the defensive partnership time to gel then ed? I mean it's all in black and white as some folks are posting! 2nd top scorers in group, individual mistakes costing points 😜 personally I'm still backing rd to get it right patience is a virtue
right enough, the reason we never qualified is down couple daft mistakes but it will get better, said it on here couple years back that rangers biggest mistake was getting rid of le guen he was a forward thinking new generation coach who if given time could have shaped their team
and with it probably Scottish footballs mentallity on how the games progressed a lot earlier, now we should see it through with Ronnie delia to shape us for the future.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - We need to get a decent GK in the team for a start. Boyata is looking a bit more comfortable and reliable alongside Simunovic but I'm still not convinced by him. I would wait until the summer now before bringing anyone else in as we've got plenty of cover in there and hopefully Eoghan O'Connell can make a push for the first team.}

10 Dec 2015 22:33:16
Where was Griffiths tonight? Ciftci is an old fashioned inside forward, he needs to play alongside a goalscorer.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Griffiths has picked up a knock mate, that's all I know.}

10 Dec 2015 22:39:34
Good point about goals for Ed.
Some of the goals against can only be down to CG.
Your point about a possible blossoming partnership is also good but if they look good, our board will sell them on.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - The board aren't in the habit of forcing players out the door just to get money in.}

10 Dec 2015 23:22:57
OK, Ed, didn't know that, i know it goes against a lot of opinion but what about postponing Stokes suspension, and giving him a chance to form a partnership with Ciftci if Grriffiths is injured.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I don't think it's too serious, Griffith should be back for the weekend.}

11 Dec 2015 00:58:32
I think Gordon has been involved in too many goals this season . Tonight looked like a real howler but we don't know what was going through his mind . Tonight was disappointing as he and defence seemed to have sorted out defending corners and set pieces .
However there has been too many goals conceded and too few good saves made.
It's imposssible to speculate how Bailey may perform, maybe better and possibly a lot worse. Hopefully we will see soon . Back four have had some game time and seem to be gelling well. We have the makings of a defence .
Worried about Bitton, caught too often on the ball. S Allen definitely can slip a good ball in but Clifti doesn't look like a striker . Armstrong did OK and Forrest very good when he came on . We scored a very good well constructed goal, I don't like Commons but he can score .

Agree0 Disagree3

12 Dec 2015 22:21:21
Jesus, some of the attacking players may not have covered themselves in glory but it's two or three seasons since Stokes has shown any decent form .
Stokes is finished as a footballer especially at Celtic . He should stick to bar room brawling.

The goalkeeper bottled it. once again.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

10 Dec 2015 18:46:03
Was a Gordon fan! Could no see past him at start of season but of late am starting to agree with ed! To many goals at his near post being let in and tonight's howler speaks for it's self.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - The difference is that he doesn't have VVD and Denayer in front of him - he was making the exact same mistakes last season but he wasn't being put in the position so often.}

10 Dec 2015 18:49:36
Do you not think the problem a lot of the time is because he bottles out of things. Must be due to his injuries. He just makes himself big, rather than taking ball and man. If that's the case step aside! Goalies should be nutters!

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - Sometimes he bottles it, sometimes it's his slow reaction time but the list of his mistakes will keep growing the longer he's our No.1.}

10 Dec 2015 18:50:58
Total shambles of a keeper. Been a liability all season.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 18:54:11
Lost count of the times last season I had to insist he wasn't better than Forster. CG is arguably the weakest link atm.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 18:54:27
Also done his usual panning the ball out back into danger again instead of putting it round the post forcing himself to make a double save. The goal we've just conceded speaks for itself with him why he's not collected that in his arms baffles me and his attempt to kick the ball out with his stronger foot back into trouble again more mistakes from him.

Said it before the game Bailly should have been given this game to see if he could perform better than Gordon. Becoming all too common with Gordon now this season and it's just not sorting itself out.

Time for us to look for a new number 1 but I fear for as long as Ronny's here we'll be stuck with him.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 22:18:37
There will now be opportunities for a bit of gk rotation hopefully. Gordon clearly isn't brave enough and can't be with his physical frailties. I've seen him make some ok saves when it's hit right at him above waist height or when he has has time to dive and use his height. It's his reaction time, fear, speed and his lack of physical strength that have been layed out for all to see. I don't know much about bailey but he needs a run now.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Dec 2015 01:00:49
rglen8 you have hit the nail on the head, I think he opted out of going for ball coward.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Dec 2015 11:00:39
To be fair, with the exceptions of boric, and Forster, we've always had average keepers.

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Dec 2015 16:03:08
This must be some proof that RD dosnt pick his own players to buy, why would he not try out Bailly when CG clearly isn't up for it? Cause he got Bailly, a player he doesnt even feel fits the squad.
And if Tierney is the best player every match, maybe RD's youth program isn't that bad? Or would Tierney go as a Lennon product?

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Dec 2015 23:15:23
Last night Gordon committed an absolute howler, apart from that he got by obviously, caught a few crosses and stopped a few shots but knocked one very badly out the middle. Cliftci was very poor but to me the rest all contributed reasonably well. I thought Deila got his changes very well with especially Forrest and Commons doing v well. Forrest had a great closing half hour and Commons 20 mins plus .
I am not sure either would have been as effective if they had started match .
In Europa we didn't have much luck . Drew twice against what was pre League best team of four, they had spent a fortune . Should have beaten Ajax at home . Molde destroyed us but they surprised the other two teams and it is testament to how good they are by drawing last night in the midst of close season.

Its all just totally cringeworthy now. Celtics good name in Europe is being wrecked by this wretched squad and management. i'm sure i'm not the only fan now who is starting to get physically sick watching this crap.

Agree1 Disagree0

11 Dec 2015 01:04:43
When did we get this good name in Europe 1967-'70. After that down hill most of the way . Was it 28 years at one time when we hadn't European Football after Christmas.
Deila is amongst an elite group of Celtic managers who has achieved that .

10 Dec 2015 18:46:48
I used to think the thing mate but he tells the truth like it or not, Ed i hold my hands up (eventually) craig gordon is a liability, 1st save shot pushed on to post ( weak wrists ) 2nd palmed ball to player, made himself big (my arse ) bad miss by the turk, the goal! He simply shit it no excuses someone else neefs to be given a chance.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - How many games is that he's cost us since he joined? I still blame him for costing us the treble.}

10 Dec 2015 18:57:49
In fairness I posted this before Gordon's howler but suttons a turd. He thinks he knows everything about football if he knows that much then why is he a pundit and not a manager. He done a great job at Lincoln.

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I think calling him a turd is a bit strong, I used to call McCoist 'The Turd' and I wouldn't put many people in the same category as that.}

10 Dec 2015 18:58:59
What is there positive to say?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 19:05:07
Mabey turd is abit harsh but he just grinds my gears.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Most pundits annoy me, don't let them get it you. One thing I'll say for Sutton is that he speaks his mind and doesn't take any prisoners, he's not a snivelling wee radge like Nevin or Andy Walker.}

10 Dec 2015 19:27:17
Totally agree ed. Iv yet to hear anything from sutton about celtic that i could disagree with. Straight talker.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 19:41:27
Good comment Ed. No time for pundits expert advice if they have never managed at a decent level (and some success) but you are right, Sutton does give his own opinion and not what pleases the masses.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I like Sutton even though I don't always agree with him.}

10 Dec 2015 21:35:26
I like Sutton if there are positive thing's to be said he does if there are negatives then he say's it as he see's it would like to see Sutton on the same "expert's" panel as wee rat face Neil McCann.

Agree1 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 21:40:00
Craig gordon at fault again tonight. Beaten at near post for ajax winner. Freekick in 1st game against ajax at near post. Beaten at near post by a header in 1st game against Fenerbache. To me that equals 5 points and qualification. Not a good performance tonight but how many saves did Gordon have to make except the one he put onto post (at his near post) ? Any other time a point in Turkey would be a good result!

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Dec 2015 01:09:17
Why Sutton is such a hateful bastard is that he starts his moaning and ridiculing Celtic straight from the kick-off and keeps it up throughout the entire match .
I especially hate him because he influences some Celtic fans watching on BT and helps them to form an even worse opinion of Deila than maybe they would without his influence .

11 Dec 2015 01:38:26
Not often we agree ed, but I like Sutton myself, sees it and says it also has a genuine love for the club.

If there's a positive from the game tonight it's hopefully seeing a young team/fringe players getting a run out. I'd particularly like to see Bailly, Nesbitt and McGregor start.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

10 Dec 2015 11:55:07
I can understand where your coming from but I don't think it's right to pass the buck in a dead rubber euro match. We've gone ten Europa games without a win and its up to the senior players to end that run tonight or it will reinforce the fact that they and Ronny aren't good enough. Let's not forget molde won in turkey and our management team still insist we are better than them! If we are to play Bailly and Nesbit and Allan etc let it be on Sunday as that is the level they should start their Celtic careers.

Agree3 Disagree1

10 Dec 2015 13:00:11
I think we're all aware of the senior players that aren't good enough though Jim1972. Although I'm sure we'd be comfortable drip feeding youngsters game time in the league, in my eyes, a 'dead rubber' match is as good an opportunity as any.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Dec 2015 16:45:38
In one interview RD is saying how it's an opportunity to gain more European experience (at a hostile environment) . And then we have JC saying the match is an inconvenient waste of time. This is not the first time they have disagreed publicly and although it is a 'pride and professionalism' game - the management team have to be in tandem.

Obviously it has been a disappointing campaign with too many basic errors and players under-performing, but the mixed messages do nothing to raise moral and fortify the squad for the next challenges.
On the game itself I would like to see Allen, Tierney, Bailly, GMS and Cifcti at some stage just for the experience and hope not too many of the team take the Collins directive?

As much as I would like to see a clear out in January of unsettled and surplus players with better replacements coming into the club - I would like a more qualified and up-beat assistant manager.
