I punished myself last night and tonight watching two Champions League matches. Last night Spurs v Manchester City was very poor indeed, just a well taken goal by Son almost the only highlight . Man City despite so many stars and plenty of procession in the final third could create little danger .
Tonight Manchester United v Barcelona was also a bore feast . United also got the ball in dangerous areas especially on their right but couldn't open up a poor enough Barcelona defence . I doubt if there are any wonderful teams in the last 8, just rich clubs with over paid footballer's.

I havenโ€™t watched a CL game that didnโ€™t involve Celtic for years. I got bored with it and itโ€™s predictable outcome since it was Americanised.

Totally agree; the tournament has been totally stage-managed and ruined just to keep rich clubs richer in a closed-shop of elitism.
The latter stages are as predictable as a Pavillion Pantomime and so many 'real' champions of European countries have been edged out.
The introduction of VAR makes it more like American Football and all I was waiting for last night was the linesman having to put on a false pair of 'donkey ears' for getting his decision wrong.
Oh, Yes He Did!

There was a nasty incident which took place outside NN10 bar on saturday. A man had part of his nose bitten off.
All media outlets were making out it had nothing to do with the pub, which we all knew wasnt true.
Since then Novo released a statement on social media stating that the guilty party was not a regular in his pub and that he just STUMBLED in that particular day and that he could quite easily have stumbled into any pub on paisley road.
Why was the pub not closed for the night when a nasty incident has occured at 17:15 on a Saturday night. Reports stating Novo having a quiet drink with his regulars minutes after the carnage, total disgrace.
That fight involved several sevco fans.
In Coatbridge the week before after Celtic beat sevco, a fight started in a pub involving only 2 people, it carried on outside.
Minutes later there are reports that there was as many as 20 police cars/ vans descended on the pub, the police were heavy handed and if anybody spoke back they were arrested.
A total of 9 people were arrested and I don't think anyone was charged, again a total disgrace.
The police demanded the pub was closed for the night, which the landlady was happy about because the police had everyone in a state because of their actions.
In summary novo admitted that the several people were in his pub yet they are allowed to carry on their Saturday night, like any other.
Then there is poor Coatbridge, second class citizens again being victimised because our team won a game of football and scotlands finest couldn't take it. Pub closed down and had as many as possible put in jail for the night, to stop them from carrying on their celebrations.

I seen the cowardly copper throw an op onto the ground. Batons out hitting anybody that tried to help the old guy. NN pub all kicked of 45 minutes after a flute band turned up and they where fighting each other. The filth and filth go hand in hand. Both are disgusting cowards.

He not took on an assistant managers job somewhere?

13 Apr 2019 14:14:52
He's an assistant manager in the 3rd tier of Swedish football. More chance of Rodgers coming back than Larsson.

We are on the brink of the greatest footballing achievement in Scottish football history a Treble Treble We need every Celtic fan united for this . We have a chance of modern era footballing immortality. That will never be matched or beaten so let's start this weekend and get right behind Lennon and the bhoys and roar them onto to victory .

Davie, by far the best post of the week .
So many want to post rubbish in the week before one of our two most important matches during the remainder of season.

What Iโ€™ve got to laugh at is the 4 leagues we won when the new club was staggering up the leagues in their unglorious journey are declared null n void? As the tribute act werenโ€™t in the league so they donโ€™t count? But since sevco made it to the top league for the first time we have won trebles! So we are even more successful with them in the top league? The press and sevcos pain is so enjoyable lap it up bhoys big game Sunday let's get behind Neil and the team lads ๐Ÿ™‚โšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†.

{Ed007's Note - And remember Ronny's don't count because Kris Commons didn't win POTY during them....

10 Apr 2019 22:35:39
I'd like to ask all the ronny bashers on here a question. Who have u got more respect for now, ronny or rodgers? A man who gave his all and admitted when he thought he was out of his depth or a snake who duped us all into thinking he was one of us then slid out the back door to the first premier league club that flashed their t! ts.

BR lost all respect and dignity when he departed in the manner he did. Had he waited until the end of season (hopefully having completed the 3 x 3) Then he would have left a Hero and Legend with our best wishes and thanks.
While I thank him for what he did give us, I see him no more than a slug crawling under a stone.
Has to be RD who gave it his all but the job came way too soon for him.

Just watched the highlights from the reserve game. It might just be me but I'm getting quite excited by the young goys coming through. Reminds me a bit of Man Utd when the scholes, Beckham and the Neville brothers came through. We had a really good attack of Johnston, Henderson, dembele and oko flex! Maybe I'm getting carried away but I really think over the next 3 to 4 years these along with shved could be the future for our forward line. Keep a hold of Tierney and Ajer and a wee cheeky punt on Celtic winning the champions league within 10 years could be on the cards!

I think heโ€™s got a very good footballing brain Kev. I can imagine him being the Bayern manager in a couple seasons. .

{Ed007's Note - Before or after Klopp?}

10 Apr 2019 21:43:07
Couple may be a bit short of my estimations on rose as he is still very young at 41, but I reckon he will get that far one day! Do you think thatโ€™s Klopps end game?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - For any German I think BM has got to be the dream job, well that and/or managing their national team. When Klopp does leave Liverpool I can see it being for Madrid or Barca but eventually he'll end up at Munich then probably a spell as national team manager. I don't see him managing another Pub League team, or at least not for a good few years if ever.}

11 Apr 2019 12:57:07
Heโ€™s got greater ambitions than that ED! Heโ€™s building his CV nicely tho. If only he wins the premier league can I see him move for Madrid or Barca. Maybe Rose will get his nose in before Klopp then!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Yeah being a perennial runner up (loser) always looks good on your CV ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Football supporters seem to hold Klopp in a much higher regard than people involved at the highest levels of the game where his failure to win anything in about 7 or 8 years, his failure to adapt and change and having no Plan B, him publicly embarrassing the club with stupid statements like naming the players he was going to sign and then getting none of them, making illegal approaches to players etc etc hasn't went unnoticed. I could go on but if you want to know the ins and outs of it Ed002 has covered it all on the Liverpool page, if you put Klipperty into the search box it should all come up.}

11 Apr 2019 13:54:21
If Klopp goes to either Real Madrid or Barcelona I can see him taking Van Dijk.
